2022 Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro owner in Lime Rush. This truck is built like a tank and so fun and comfortable to drive. It would be cool to highlight the 360 camera system (even though its low-res, its functional and helpful). Great video.
I actually like the Jurassic look as you call it or the old school look to me, it's an off road vehicle and it does exactly what it's supposed to do with minimal problems, people need to stop complaining about all these unimportant, small details
I echo your sentiment: "God I love this car!" I have always loved the 4Runner/Lexus GX over every other SUV, the articulation in those things is freaking otherworldly. Another nice review!
I'm really not a foreign car kind of guy. I have to say though that Toyota well may seem to be behind the times a year or two sometimes less technology is better. Also, I think that they use stuff that is proven instead of just adding doodads and stuff that can break down in the future. If I had to lay my money down versus a Jeep or a bronco and probably go to Toyota. And I'm a Ford guy! But Toyotas are proven over and over again.
I have one of these, it's 10 years old with 167k miles on it. It's just rock solid. I'm not even a Toyota guy, honestly I'd rather have a Wrangler, but this thing is just a jack of all trades and super solid.
What I'm getting is that even with an amazing vehicle, one still has to know how to drive in certain terrain. I was surprised that water didn't flood the engine.
Agree, driver was revving the crap out of it for No reason. That's how you destroy things and blame it on the Make and model. Need to learn how to drive offroad.
Hey Drive Wire, was wondering if it would be alright if I used a few clips from your video for a project I’m working on with ProCharger!?! Wanted to check in before using any media, thanks!
No KDSS on the Pros. KDSS does help a bit with body roll on the street. The TRD Pros have Fox shocks which make for a softer ride on and off road but you will get more body roll. Which you prefer is up to you. If you are going to mod your 4Runner KDSS can limit some of your options or just make it more expensive to mod.
@Anomize23 she's letting you know she's old, but she's totally reliable and capable, love my 2016 4runner trail with kdss which is all decked out for overlandding.
Yep, crawl control is like sneakers in a dryer, but super effective at climbing, descending, and getting un-stuck. Love this thing
You forgot the back seats recline

What a great video! Can’t wait to pick up mine that’s on order.
The skid plate is 1/4” aluminum not steel.

Front skid plate is aluminum...not steel.

la mía es verde limón
What were those noises?
It’s the Crawl Control system, it’s always been noisy on Toyotas.
Just its Offroad gear system working. Scared me too at first on my truck 😂

Brakes thinking and activating as needed. The system is awesome. just sounds like tools in a dryer.
