Thank you for this video. I've been looking around for an affordable ebike and this persuaded me to get the Z20. Very happy with it. Really useful video and channel.
Nicely done and very helpful video. I'm considering a Himo Z20 among others. I especially like the 20" tires. I'm in Thailand and I'm an old guy. Arthritis limits my riding a standard bike but an E-Bike fits my needs perfectly. One issue I have with the Himo. I would use the bike to go shopping at the market and I see no means of carrying any cargo, I looked closely on your video and I could see no basket or rack attachment points. Do you know if any are offered as accessories? That would be a deal killer for me which is too bad as I see few other E-Bikes available locally in my price range with 20" wheels.
There are lots of bike racks available that mount to the seat pole. (Others also have stabilizers on the side) Many accessories that could be attached: bit.ly/36PxHwP
Thanks for the amazing view! I’ve had a C20 for just under a year. It’s been fun but I’ve developed a few issues rather quickly. 1. The handle bar is a bit wobbly when locked and the only solution I have to make it feel “tight” when riding is to place a piece of cardboard in between the gap where it the bar and frame meet. I haven’t figured out any other way to tighten / modify the mechanism. Any tips in this area? 2. The frame has started to sound a bit “creaky” when riding and I can’t for the life of me figure out precisely where this is coming from. Have you experienced the same? Thanks again for making this video. Keep it up!
1. The easiest possible fix is to check the quick release that is holding your handlebar and the stem. If it is already loose, then change it. You can also opt to upgrade to a carbon handlebar which is quite cheap nowadays. 2. Creaky sounds usually comes from damaged bearings. Usually it is the bottom bracket, you can also check the wheel and the headset bearing. It is also worth to tighten back all the bolts on your bicycle to the manufacturer's specified torque. A quick visit to an experienced bike shop would be able to fix your problems.
Bikes are okay, I had a HIMO C20, but you have a problem when it doesn't work anymore. Parts are hard to come by and most of it is proprietary which makes it hard to replace. I had my bike for 3 months and it started to show unknown/power/battery problems. after trying everything, contacting the seller (Who kept saying that it was my fault) and also using other parts with no results i had to throw away the bike because it was useless and impossible to repair. So potential buyers beware.
And this is what im afraid of when buying, im not a wrecker or something, but im going to feel helpless because i know its going to be hard repairing when the manufacture is in China. And i am no handyman either. But i still wanna buy because i always love these kind of bikes..so i will wait till the price drops more and just take the risk 👍
@@1Surinamer As for the hardware: most of the parts are standard bicycle parts, they can be repaired/changed with standard parts. For example I changed the pedals to aluminum pedals. The problem is that due to the friction, the parts that are in contact with each other, the bar & the frame, have started to wear out, so now there's still a bigger gap and the bar is super wobbly! Also I fell of the bike and the free stand broke! As it's and aluminium piece cannot be welded, so I need a replacement. Last but not least, the bike when was delivered in a box, by the delivery truck, had a hole in the box, exactly where the part of the frame takes all the weight of the bike, which creates friction with the box (when in transit), the spot, where there's an air pump installed. I assume, there's bolt missing that hold the air pump, Correct? This part was missing, so we created a plastic cover and taped it around with duck tape! hey. I'm an ex owner of Fiido D1 bike. What I was really missing in that bike is the gear shifts. In theory you could pedal to go faster than the speed the electric assist pushed you to, but in practice you had to pedal very, very quickly with low resistance on the pedals so you weren't really able to go faster than 25-30 km/h. How's that on the Himo bikes? Does it help a lot that there is a 6 gear system in place? Can you go fast on these bikes (>30km/h)? PS. Nice review, thanks!
The gear shifts are great to adjust the strength for the speed. You can go 25km/h max with electric power and then paddle to go faster than 30. I also did a video when comparing it to ADO A20 which can be unlocked to go 35 on electric power
I’d say it feels more like an assist mode. Depending on how fast you pedal you get supported. With Fiido e.g. pedal assist feels like you give full throttle when touching the pedals. I prefer that with Z20 it feels like riding a bike made easier. Not going full electric by controlling it with the pedal. Hope this describes it better
I tried to answer that on my blog as there are so many details to consider: www.elproducente.com/travel/xiaomi-himo-z20-vs-fiido-d4s-vs-fiido-d11-20-inch-folding-e-bike-comparison-review-manual/ In a nutshell I would say D11 for commuting within a city. Z20 when you are also going on unpaved roads.

Battery is partially pre-charged when you get it. I would charge it until the charger light turns green. But check the manual of there is an updated procedure!
Hi! Want to know when you loose all your electricity due to "forget to charge" then can you still peddle the bike home. How far can you peddle with any peddle assist because you forgot to charge..? Please can you answer because cannot try out a ride myself..before buying..?
You can ride it just like a regular bike. Absolutely no limitations or restrictions. It's just a bit more exhausting as the bike is heavier because of motor and battery
As far as I know there is no major difference. - I heard that the Chinese version is beeping requently due to requirements, but you can easuly disconnect the speaker (shown on my blog). - Maybe the power plug is different, but it's a standard cable that can be replaced.
Hi, D4s has a built in battery, so you always have to carry the bike to charge it. On the other hand you can unlock the speed of D4s. There’s maybe a third alternative, I just received ADO A20 and working on my video. It has suspension, speed can be unlocked, battery is removable,... combines the advantages of both of them: www.elproducente.com/travel/ado-a20-vs-xiaomi-himo-z20-vs-fiido-d4s-pro-x-folding-e-bike-comparison-review-manual/
@@dejedejsson checked today with a scale: ADO A20 has a weight of 21.2 kg with battery inserted and fenders mounted. (28kg is the weight of the whole shipping package including packaging, tools, charger, airpump,...)
I myself prefer that the battery is built into the D4s, otherwise it will be stolen. Common to all these bikes is that they have too weak engines. ADO costs more than a D4s, D4s are probably still most bang for the bucks.
You can't adjust the steering rod in height, but that was fine for me, still comfortable. Not sure if that might be an issue for you being taller. The saddle can be adjusted, not an issue Also the weight is not an issue, very sturdy bike

As far as I know there is no major difference.
- I heard that the Chinese version is beeping requently due to requirements, but you can easuly disconnect the speaker (shown on my blog).
- Maybe the power plug is different, but it's a standard cable that can be replaced.
Hello can u help me what to choose z20 or d4s ? I found them at the same price.
Hi, D4s has a built in battery, so you always have to carry the bike to charge it. On the other hand you can unlock the speed of D4s.
There’s maybe a third alternative, I just received ADO A20 and working on my video.
It has suspension, speed can be unlocked, battery is removable,... combines the advantages of both of them:
www.elproducente.com/travel/ado-a20-vs-xiaomi-himo-z20-vs-fiido-d4s-pro-x-folding-e-bike-comparison-review-manual/
ADO A20 is too heavy 28 kg with battery!
@@dejedejsson checked today with a scale:
ADO A20 has a weight of 21.2 kg with battery inserted and fenders mounted.
(28kg is the weight of the whole shipping package including packaging, tools, charger, airpump,...)
net weight is 24 kg according to ADO, must be the first time in world history a Chinese company specifies a specification that is worse than reality.
I myself prefer that the battery is built into the D4s, otherwise it will be stolen. Common to all these bikes is that they have too weak engines.
ADO costs more than a D4s, D4s are probably still most bang for the bucks.
Hey gyes actually i bought C20 but i have problem with charger hole it's doesn't fit ! the bicycle brand new ... what should i do?
Contact the seller, charger for C20 and Z20 seem to be slightly different, maybe the wrong one was included
U didn t spoke about autonomy of battery??
can you elaborate a bit, not sure what you mean
Interesting, could you give me advise? I'm 1.95 tall and weigh 108kg, do you think the bike will 'hold me'? :p
You can't adjust the steering rod in height, but that was fine for me, still comfortable. Not sure if that might be an issue for you being taller.
The saddle can be adjusted, not an issue
Also the weight is not an issue, very sturdy bike
Es posible cambiar el manillar por uno más parecido al BMX?
Thanks!
Wenn we can have the comparison to FIIDO?
Working on it, had some issues with D11.
Currently doing a comparison with ADO A20, which I recently received and really like:

Great review but irritating background music
Thanks for the feedback.
Wasn't sure if the music is irritating or makes the video more fluid and entertaining
Hi, How do I get a replacement charger for himo z20, I lost mine while moving, I will appreciate anyone with a link to a compatible charger
Do you have video for HIMO C26?
No, next video I'm planning to do is Fiido D11 vs Himo Z20.
Then I'll see which bike I'm getting next
With Parking mode by long press button, how does it assist to the bike?
It doesn’t assist at all, it’s just turned on so you can use the light for example
perfect
Hello there, I need help! My girlfriend has himo z20 and when I turn on the power and twist the handle the motor does not start.
Do you have any idea what’s wrong?
in some countries there are versions sold that only work with pedal assist (I think in Australia it is the case to comply with local law)
does it charge the battery when you peddle the bike?
No, there is no energy recovery
does the saddle go higher? it seems too low for me
I'm 1.83 and the saddle goes why higher than I would need it.
Nice..
How many kilos can this beautiful bike walk, whichever is better, with your SAMEBIKE 20LVXD30 or Hmo 😊
Max weight is 100kg
Not sure about Sambike, I prefer the design of Himo so I went for it

Does it charge when pedallling?
as far as I know there is no energy recovery while pedaling nor braking
Nice video
Thanks
I weigh 116kg, I’m a fat fuck but also talk, is it gonna hold my weight even if it’s rated at 100kg? I have an mtb also rated 100kg and it works wonderfully with my weight and gear
Oh and btw I’m not buying it to get even fatter, I actually won it at a Lidl promotion via their app and I’m waiting for delivery. Want to keep it since it looks fun
Could you make a video of fixing puncture on the rear tyre? I can tell the Fiido D11 is bad. Real bad.
I have one and also got some issues, will do a video soon.
I'll do the tire video as soon as I have an issue with it - good idea!
buen video
Do u need some kind of key to unlock it ?
You need the key to unlock the battery
I’m listening on your video but I’m try on my Thorttle on Himo Z20 still not working
Hi, the throttle should work in Mid and High Mode, although there are some versions for specific countries where the throttle is disabled
