Bill, just a follow up, in Australia, the electric only option is disabled, as no bike above 200 watts is allowed to use this feature. I still bought one. It’s the third product I have bought, scooter, tiny folding transformer bike. The Quality is excellent on all products
I seen many videos of the Z20, but this video is so calm and very easy to follow. I am waiting for a cheaper price and then i am going to buy. Is this bike safe to ride when the weather is rainy ?!
I see you're in the UK (so am I) Where did you buy it from? and did you have to pay VAT and import duty when the bike was delivered to you? I'm keen on this bike especially as your one has a throttle, although most sellers of this bike will only supply one without throttle to UK buyers (as throttles are illegal on e bikes manufactured after 2016.) thanks
@@BillMRC is there anything I need to know about the bike before it arrives. Do I need to buy any extra. I have bought from geekbuying, is this where you purchased your bike from? Tia for replying
Very nice bill, I was going to order one of these myself mate, great bikes aren’t they.. I ended up buying the the fiido ds4 in the end as it was a couple of hundred pound cheaper and faster.. enjoy your new bike buddy, stay safe 👍
No waddac there is no recharge but honestly I never use ‘electric only’. When riding in eco you pedal but there is still power assistance coming though as you turn the throttle. This means you pedal on the flat and uphill a slight turn of the throttle takes strain off you. I’ve done a 55km ride and come back with two bars left on the meter.
Hi great video now thinking of buying one from geekbuying as they say they can ship from UK, (I'm in the UK) so those this avoid customs and the VAT additional costs do you know? its a problem with chinese and now EU imports, is this how you purchased yours, ie did you get a bill later in the post for VAT? :(. many thanks
Hi Steve, thank you for watching & commenting, always much appreciated :-) I got this before Brexit came into effect this year, so I do not know what the duty & vat implications are now. But, if this ships from a uk warehouse, there should be no additional costs payable.
Hi Ivor, thank you for watching & commenting, always much appreciated :-) Good question, there is not a silicone or rubber seal to prevent this, but the battery is slanted to prevent this.
Hi Bill great review, clicked on the link you added for the bike but it's in dollars, does it get sent from USA or from UK, did it take long to be delivered, Thanks an keep up the great reviews, stay safe :)
Still in 2024 - like many people - I can't decide between the Z20 and AD20. Same price - but some say the Z20's real range is poor. 80km range is claimed for both the AD20 & Z20 - so those 80km range claims are almost criminal if you really only get 20-30km !! Paul G
Just bought one. Great bike! If someone can crack it to go faster even only 5km/h more would be perfect. A bit slow and a bit heavy (not heavy for electric bikes but still if it was 15 kg would be nicer :)). Hope the Himo guys will make an advanced version in the future that is faster and lighter
Hi, thank you for watching & commenting, always much appreciated :-) I have used this with pedal assist too, but the range is subjective as it depends on gearing, gradients and how much assistance you provide.
Great review Bill. I’ve had the Z20 now for a few weeks and love it but can’t work out the sequence to reset the trip counter. Any ideas? I’m 66 with angina and just needed the help on hills and reassurance that I can get home or back to the car without overexerting myself and I highly recommend an ebike to anyone that, like me, drifted into becoming a couch potato. At around £660 they aren’t cheap but I haven’t regretted the outlay one bit. Looking forward to your next video Bill.

Hi, thank you for watching & commenting, always much appreciated :-) Good question, I have not had to do this yet. From what I can see, this should not be a problem to fit from the gears side when the wheel is loosened from the axle.
