We've owned a 22' for 1-1/2 years now and still love it. My Wife is religious about plugging it in as necessary, and is regularly getting 140mpg. Fantastic car!
That looks really nice looking on the newer update and very update also great job Joe and Lori
Awesome car good video. I gotta review one of these bad boys looks awesome
Joe and Lori keep up the good work real true and I love the video real true 💯👍
We have a 2019 Tucson...very very nice vehicle
@raiti'srides Which looks better between the Tucson and Sportage?
Hi bro,
I bought the same limited 2023 used car on auction and can you tell me oem number charger cable?
Thank you
Are these still only available in the zev states? This needs mentioning whenever talking about different phevs. Not all are available everywhere, like Hyundai and Toyota. At least initially, they were only available in the zev states.
The color is hot but the flat black gots to go also joe how many hrs u gotta charge the battery 🔋

We own a 2022 Toyota Rav4 hybrid and a 2022 hyundai tucson hybrid. We haven't had a problem with either but when we TRAVEL for vacation we take the Tucson. Its a much more comfortable vehicle for a 10hr trip.
I wish the car would've had a full battery or just some charge. Never seen a review with a charged PHEV except for reviews by owners. It drastically changes the ride and off-the-line acceleration.
Hope you guys had fun at the Tokyo auto show! I’ve been dreaming about going to Tokyo Japan for a very long time. Btw the Hyundai looks really nice, and has some decent fuel mileage
Too bad they catching on fire constantly.

Amazing vehicle Joe.
I got the SEL w Convenience package hybrid and absolutely love it. Phenomenal what they pack in for the price
You still like it? I'm trying to decide between the Hybrid SEL Convenience and PHEV SEL. Hybrid version seems to come with more features at that level.
I like the dash of the Santa Fe Calligraphy. Also the way it handles and the power of the 2.5 t

Will you be reviewing the 2024 Santa Fe?
Hey Joe. I love your videos… I was just wondering if there’s any way you can do a Infiniti g37 coupe sometime?
I will track one down for you. Thank you for your support!
@@RaitisRidesYou just made my day. Thanks so much brother! 😊
Blind spot cameras should be in every car. Hyundai and Kia just nail this.
Except they skimped out on immobilizers for nearly all their models. Hyundai quality right there😂
Both seem really nice.

I am so glad that you like this one.
I bought a new Tuscon Hybrid LImited earlier this year and it may be been the best car I've ever owned
Smooth, quiet, powerful, roomy, easy to use, 35 MPG, and never gave me a day of trouble
I only traded it to get a Z06, because I'm a man
I got it over the Rav Hybrid. because I think the Rav4 is not very smooth. The Hyundai is very suave.
Very stylish
Hello Joe and Lori,
Well, still HYUNDAI has a long way to catch up with Toyota. They are done 60%. And, the 40% left on their engine and mechanical parts which they have to work on and improve it. Thanks for the videos 🙏🙏🙏
I heard this model's transmissions get heated.
@@gco2075 and, more problems. So, don't spend your money on Hyundai. Instead, get Toyota and forever you’ll have peace of mind.
Hyundai skimped out on immobilizers which caused the KIA BOYS trend. Hyundai transmissions are also known to be faulty and engine failures are common.
@tz7710 and Toyota skimped out on quality airbags which caused the SHRAPNEL TO THE FACE DEATH trend. If what you say is true, and Toyota'sself-admitted exploding shrapnel to the face is true... would you rather be stuck on the side of the road, or killed by Toyota's death traps? Fanboism doesn't pay.
1 day, I buy a 2023 Hyundai Tucson PHEV.
Tucson all day every day!
I’m both so happy that they tucked away the wiper blade and don’t have to see that nasty wiper blade on the glass. I’ve always been a fan of hidden wiper blades. But I’m also upset because now it’s taking that unique factor away from Lexus RX ha ha ha ha
Is it a 2023 or 2024? You say both.
You left Japan already 2 days only?
This had to prerecorded before his trip
💯💯💯
A wiper that is tucked. A festivuis miracle...
Bros just here to hate
Cool 🎉car!!!
I am so glad that you think so.
Why do they not do like Toyota and have regenerative braking instead of plug ins ? Power costs are only going to rise....especially when more and more people are going for electric/hybrid cars
I still can't wrap my head around the overall design of the new Tuscon. I won't deny the fact that it's certainly a head-turner. I think that the rounded silhouette of the Tuscon kind of clashes with all the angles and geometric design cues like the body lines, headlights, and taillights. If it was a boxier design, I think these cues wouldn't clash as much. I will say that the Santa Cruz does a better job with this design language.
As for the car itself, I personally believe hybrids are the way to go. We don't need to go full BEV. In cities like New York, where I'm from, going fully electric simply doesn't make any sense whatsoever. Even if we were to have the infrastructure in place, people seem to forget that Manhattan is not the only place that makes up the city of New York. It consists of five boroughs, all of which are within varying levels of congestion. If everyone were to have an EV in New York City, it'd be an absolute nightmare to charge your car, especially if you live in an apartment.
Even if you own a house, that doesn't guarantee charging an EV will be easy either. Not to mention, think about how fast the power grid would go if every or the majority of New York City citizens had an EV. People also seem to forget that while yes, New York is slowly working on its dated infrastructure, it still suffers from decades of neglect and therefore incorporating full EV technology and infrastructure will probably take decades more to be fully implemented. Given the current circumstances, cities like New York, or even Chicago for that matter are not ready to go full EV. This is why I believe hybrids are the best option for the foreseeable future since they're clearly the best of both worlds. It's no wonder why Toyota isn't fully committed to the EV bandwagon.
Designs good, but the quality not there. Hyundai got sued by New York City for cheaping out on immobilizers
thank god for AT gearbox replace CVT🎉
So very true!
Why? Ecvt is reliable and makes the hybrid transition seamless.
The on throttle is somewhat sedate.
The ev battery was flat at the beginning of the review as it is in most reviews, so the acceleration was slower than if you owned one and ran it normally. Reviewers leave the vehicles on durring the review, which unlike an ICE, which would be idling, a hybrid or Plug-in would run down thrme drive battery.
I find the Tucson Hybrid a little bit quicker than the Tucson PHEV because the PHEV weights 600 lbs more than the Hybrid.
8:16 look at the EV Range, 0 miles...
I was pushing for my sister to grab one of these...She's now got an Outback...oh well!

@ericdirauso2465 Anything Hyundai and Kia I'll never buy. Maybe an Elantra N or Kona N but they actually put effort into those vehicles
i have a 2017 tucson
Do you like it?
Im biased being a Rav4 owner, but I see no reason why in the segment you’d choose the Prime over the Tucson aside for cooled seats
KIA BOIS💀 is enough fo reason to stay away.
Correction. It has WIRED A.A. And Apple CarPlay
Besides that ridiculous amount of two tone Range Rovers I see. I see a lot of Tucsons and Selto’s.
Funny hearing people say “Toyota’s been making hybrids for years! Would never go with Hyundai” Reminds me a bit of NASA who did rockets for years and years but then SpaceX came along and did it much better and was much newer
Name a Single Hyundai/Kia Classic or Collectible Car ill wait here for you
Hyundai's hiding their defects and engine failures...
ruclips.net/video/RFzJeoQ8nXw/видео.htmlsi=FmT7YJMMVO7vttZk
with the key difference that Toyota's hybrid engines are actually orders of magnitude better in performance, and more importantly reliability. The Prime is roughly the same size and weight, but has nearly 15% more HP and significantly longer EV-only range.
tell me again how Hyundai is the SpaceX of hybrid engines compared to Toyota's inferior NASA ones...
jesus
The Hyundai won't have a hybrid shutdown nor catch fire like the RAV4 hybrid and RAV4 Prime. So Hyundai is the better pick.
Hyundais are exloding like never before: ruclips.net/video/RFzJeoQ8nXw/видео.htmlsi=FmT7YJMMVO7vttZk
PHEV outlander and rav4 prime is the better options!
I see these on the road every 2 seconds. Hyundai and KIA are doing well for themselves by proving how good their cars.
Yeah for cheap fucks without a clue. Name a Single Kia/Hyundai Classic ill wait here
I would rather have Kia’s version of this (Sportage). Much better looking infotainment system. Hell, this thing even has incandescent(!) rear turn signals!!
How does anyone think Hyundai no matter the vehicle and trim think they’re luxurious 😂😂😂
I feel like this is a little misleading because without the electric motor the car only produces 186hp. You gotta keep the engine separate from the EV motor
What do you mean? How do you keep the engone separate from the hybrid drive?
Plus the EV battery was dead at the start of the review. Look when he shows the Plug-in screen stats. The acceleration was only using the 1.6l motor, so a bit slower than normal.
8:15 look, the EV range is 0 miles...
Please buy it for me. I think you can
Another miracle no cvt....
Cvt requires a lot more maintenance in comparison, the battery also helps fill the gap between gear shifts
As a previous Kia owner, now Toyota Highlander (regular V6), I would never go back to Kia/Hyundai. Toyota will always be way more reliable over the long haul. And like others have commented, Toyota has been making hybrids decades longer than anyone else. I wouldn’t touch a new Kia/Hyundai Plug-in hybrid with a 10 foot pole.
LMFAO toyota highlander just recalled for their bumpers falling off and it's looking bad for toyota. You made a bad choice kid.

Kia, Hyundai recall 3.37 million US vehicles over fire risks

Exactly, I don't trust car dealers or sellers, but I trust mechanics like Scotty Kilmer, he always says to stay away from Kia and Hyundais. Their cars catch fire, engines burn oil, and a lot of fatal and terrible accidents of even new cars. Want safety and reliability for you and your family? Get a Toyota or Honda. Wanna play with life, get that crap and see it for yourself.
It’s just Naveen again , guys
Obviously bent against Toyota, the company.
Most likely works for Kia.
No Toyota fanboi here.

Any manufacturer has to gain their own experience with the length of the time. I prefer Toyota since they already went through a lot within decades. If you like Hyundai go ahead. Is based on what the customer likes.
Not even close. RAV.

Better looking car better technology better reverse camera. Toyota is dying
These are Junk. None of the idiots in the comment section can name a Kia/Hyundai Classic or Collectible worth anything. Ill wait here for answer and wait some more
Another Slim Shady lurking no comparison to the RAV 4 Prime. Watch out your Tuscon might catch on fire.
There’s something about Hyundais and Kias that makes them look dated after 2 years.
You are so very right about that!
Like a song with a good hook. It gets old quick
Huge pass, way too much gloss back on button areas. Gross choice
Also first
I would rather have a RAV-4. The reliability is renowned, Hyundai not so much.
Well said.
Nobody gives a f about hybrid or EV. This is the end of RUclips car reviews
yeah I've mentioned this too. People that love EV's don't care about watching car reviews. It doesn't help that government entities and these corporations are forcing an "all EV" future. It's going to fail in a grand way, so I'm prepping my popcorn for when the car industry crashes LOL
I was trying to buy the Tucson PHEV for 2 years, I could not get one for purchase, and for an allocation, dealers wanted 8-10,000 "market adjustment"!
I settled on the Tucson Hybrid, and I love it.
I will only consider partially hybrid electric vehicles for purchase. I'm sure you have fun with your manual transmission but I just want something smooth and efficient and that's exactly what a hybrid delivers. the 2017 Chevy Volt is the greatest motor vehicle of all time by far no competition don't even reply.
