Both are beautiful. For me the white dial wins, in part because of the bracelet. It just gives the watch the versatility to dress up or down seamlessly.
That blue-blk dial is incredible (reminiscent of the Rolex Falcon’s Eye Yachtmaster)…It’ll take me some time to get over the fauxtina but we’ll see. Suggestion: Next time, consider using calipers for comparative measurements, as opposed to “eyeballing.” Appreciate the review 👍
The fauxtina isn’t as bad as people are making it. I’m typically not a fan but this has more of a bronze feel to it than an attempt to make it look aged.
I love the FOIS except for the faux patina. It’s not a dealbreaker but the speedypro in the crisp black or white kinda sings by comparison, especially with the nicer bracelet and lyre lugs.
@@casualdudereviews Thanks! I think what throws me off is the contrast with the white on the subdials. I haven’t seen it in person yet but the fauxtina worked on the heritage seamaster. The grey blue dial on the FOIS looks beautiful though.
lol you’re late Dragon! You have a one of a kind now 💪🏽, but there’s a new Apex predator now, the Hormone, GMO fed Deep Sea Challenge 50mm solid gold (I don’t like it, the back is titanium and too damn big!)
I would better accept if it's rebirth of ck2998 rather than FOIS. The real FOIS didn't have aged lume for it was actually almost a brand new watch at the moment..... The faux patina make the watch look like something just freshly stolen from the museum.
The common consensus is that the FOIS is too overwhelmed by the fauxtina. It’s gimmicky and tacky for the classic speedy. The original and white dial remains the go-to for now.
"Common consensus?" Did you take a poll? It seems quite a lot of people don't mind/like the color of the lume. Having seen one in person, I'm in that camp. I think it looks great.
FOIS looks awful to me. Looks way worse than the square Patek Philippe everyone is ragging on. White dial speed look bla... The Tudor chrono panda looks way better.

Nice! Time to watch this on the big screen!
Hope you enjoy it!
@casualdudereviews congrats on that FIOS purchase, it's such a beautiful balance of classic and modern.
Thanks for sharing!

Interesting…Sounds like the No Time To
Die…I’ll
need to see it in the metal 👍

I’ve actually gotten used to it. It feels less like a faux patina than other watches and more like a design choice. It’s more bronze in person.

This Friday I will have both of them also. Picking up the FOIS exactly 5 months after I got my white speedy.
Congrats on getting both!
Waiting for FOIS white dial, haha.
CasualDudeReviews can only get one black dial First or sapphire ?

For me, FOIS and not close. But then again - it’s all personal preference!
@ yup 👍 there’s a watch for everyone 😊
@@darrenc5563 But what’s best of all about both watches is they are available!! So we all win…

The tacky dial awful hands and fauxtina kill it for me, the 321 is so much better
Looks cheap
