      @casualdudereviews День назад

      It really depends on what you’re into. The Summer blue is a great looking watch but the sunburst color patter may be tougher to dress up or, in my opinion, may feel dated quicker. If you’re not a 007 fan though, the 60th comes at a premium which means you may be better off buying the standard SMP with the similar blue color and swapping the bracelet.

    Just snagged my root beer in late August. Took me awhile to get to know how to set this watch and estimation of the third time zone usage using the bezel. I passed the Pepsi and batman for this model and happy with my decision. Also I do not resell any of my watches, as I keep all of them to pass down to my children when I pass. Remember when using the third time zone, West from you location rotate the bezel CW( one click is one hr, then observe the the number from the base time pionter) then read on the bezel the hour and then read the minutes from the minute hand. For east, rotate the bezel CCW , and use the same technique from above. I assume that you base time is the same as local time. If not, make the appropriate decision to obtain the third time zone. Love this model❤❤❤😂😂

    I dont think they are discontinuing ot any time soon. I heard in the UK, for example, that they aren't taking any new orders for them until 2028! Which tells me they are going to make them but the production is intentionally very slow. Prob the next anniversary edition won't be until 60 yrs.

    I almost ended up getting that late-last year. I scoffed at the premium over the regular SMP 300, even tho I could financially get it without worry. They made it thinner, yet it’s still too thick - for me, anyway. The faux patina was the ‘nail in the coffin.’ With Tudor, their faux patina is so light I forget my black bay has it. About two weeks ago, I was back at the Omega AD checking out the SMP 300. I love the design and reasonable price, but man, I just can’t accept a 42mm case with a bracelet with no taper. It looks like a wall clock on my 6.25inch wrist. The *only* reason Tudor won me over with the Pelagos 39: dimensions. That’s it. If that 300 heritage was offered in a slightly smaller variant, and while not required, Omega got rid of the of the try-hard faux lume, I’d have that watch on my wrist right now. All that said, I am happy for all who are happy with this beautiful piece. The movement is nice to look at. The clasp is decent. And the bracelet on this reference has tapper; it looks better and feels more premium compared to the SMP 300’a bracelet.

    is it possible to buy this without any buying history from omega?

    • @casualdudereviews
      @casualdudereviews 6 дней назад

      It’s very difficult and really depends on the management at the boutique. I don’t have a big history at the boutique because most of my Omegas were purchased at an AD. When I bought the 60th Bond watch, they had a Snoopy in stock but wouldn’t sell it to me. They called for a couple of weeks trying to sell me a gold piece to get it and I said no. Finally, they agreed to sell it to me if I bought any other piece so I bought a white dial Seamaster and sold it at a $1,000 loss. I’d try and connect with someone at the boutique and get your name on the list. You never know what might happen.

I'm always curious what people do for a living to afford watches like this, I'm still fairly young, just turned 30, and I'm just starting to get far enough in my career to really be able to save money so I'm always interested in learning what people did that were successful like this. I enjoyed the video. I'm an Omega and Bond fan (wearing the Casino Royale 2220.80 Seamaster as I write this). I prefer the models that are either screen used like the 2541.80, 2531.80, 2220.80, etc. or the special editions (like the two you have) that don't show obvious Bond branding when you're wearing the watch. I'm not a fan of a 007 second hands or 007 on the dial. My pick between the two you have is the 60th Anniversary but that's because I much prefer blue watches over the colors chosen for the NTTD watch. I liked the look of the mesh bracelet on the NTTD watch so I got one for my blue Seamasters.

    Hi mate. A few points in the comparison that I thought I'd add. In the NTTD it has a ceramic bezel. The 'broad arrow' marker is the hallmark put on any item that has been procured though contract by the British Ministry of Defence. The engraving of letters and numbers on the back are the reference number given to the specific contract with the MoD as published in the government gazette. The gazette is the document that the government publishes all its tenders seeking vendors for items they are wanting to purchase. It basically is a way to denote that the property is owned by the Crown and the contract under which it was procured. It's an amazing level of detail that I think is incredible. This was Daniel Craig's idea to add to the watch. It also has a domed sapphire crystal meant to mimic the refraction of an old acrylic crystal. I believe that it is also missing anti reflective coating. On the Bond 60th by comparison it has an aluminium bezel insert with the "60" being lumed, so with extended exposure to UV light it will fade over time but as well all know a faded bezel is free money in the bank. The lollypop second hand with the ball on the tip of the hand is supposed to sweep just below the seconds track and from the top down is meant to resemble a roulette wheel in play. This is a nod to the original Bond film 'Casino Royale' (The Connery one) . Now I've told you this you will never unsee it. The wave dial on the Bond 60th is the same first generation wave dial as used on the original Brosnan Seamaster from 1995, the first collaboration with Omega and Bond. It is not available currently on any other Omega. It's a stunning watch and I was wearing one today at Omega. I'd own it now if I wasn't almost certain that they will be releasing a black version soon as teased by Daniel Craig at the Olympics. Thanks for your video, I really enjoyed this side by side. I look forward to checking out your other content and have subscribded. Cheers from Australia. Edit: Forgot to mention that for me its the Bond 60th. It's a stunning watch in the flesh.

I want it to look amazing and feel good wearing...each time I put it on...regularly...and not just when it's new or freshly serviced. Thanks for getting back to me about this potential downside of getting a two-tone. The Blusey Two Tone is one of the best Rolex watch you can wear sporty, casual, and dressy. Best watch in all occasions!! One of my always go to watch and its so iconic as well!!!

      Do you find that it scratches easily? It's my top pick, but I'm wondering/worried that the gold that looks SO nice, will scratch easily and bother me and NOT look so nice. Please respond with your experiences wearing this model. Thanks!

      @@private464 The gold will scratch because it is real solid gold band but you can always buff it out and it is not noticeable unless you look at it. The gold and blue combo is one of the best combo in my opinion!! Very under rated Rolex watch and I predict the demand on this watch will go up in value one day. It is trading for $3-6K over MSRP now. If you can find one buy it. Also, I would get a lot of compliments everywhere I got wearing my Bluesy!!

    My father in law has the older version, with black sub dials. I borrowed it for our wedding, thought it would look good with the blue tux and he'd appreciate me wearing it. I'd be lying if I didn't say I regret returning it, despite actually making fun of the "old man" watch years prior. It really grew on me and I wish my brother in law hadn't changed his mind on it as well or it would be mine 💀
