    WWe just wanted to come on and thank your wife and yourself for giving such helpful advice. We just did our road trip to Sydney, and it was so simple after watching your videos. My partner was nervous when the Tesla got down to 13%, but I just kept saying it's fine. On the way home we got down to 10, lol. You’re right about the charging being super fast. We were so shocked, and we tried your cherry and apple pie - amazing!! Thanks for all your help.

      Thanks Christopher for taking the time to let us know how it went and very glad to hear it went so well. Those are good pies. ☺️

    Thanks for your videos. im now more relaxed about taking my tesla Highland to Sydney. Being a new tesla I was so worried about charging and making it there but now I'm quite relaxed about it but I still enjoy watching your videos.

    Awesome videoooo 😊 as always. And the audio is normal for me btw! Loved watching this one over lunches in the days since posted.

      Thanks, glad to hear you enjoyed it. ☺️ I tested the audio and I think I've worked out what was going on. It's strange, I didn't hear the audio split on all the devices I tested it on, but I sent a rough copy to someone to check and they did hear the split audio.
      Strange that it didn't happen on my end. I tried it on my computer and my mobile devices. Maybe it's just that my hearing is "off". 🤣

      @@notacarguy_au I think I'm just too orderly and noticed it more than I should have haha. Glad it got the issue fixed,our first road trip in our MY24 RWD is coming up next month to Orange, NSW! Will look into some of these charging spots and take any recommendations! Thanks for all your vids.

    Great video mate, just did my video for my CBR-BNE trip and back.
    Re the AP strike, yes you are correct, you have to park and re-enable it (Haven't tried it either, but have seen it tested in videos)

      Love that you guys had the same internal debate about going through to Coffs and stopping at Harwood, lol. We weren't able to make it either. There are two chargers at big banana, it's a portable sled along with the main ones at the shopping centre you went to.

      Yeah, I on'y found out about the big banana one after the trip. Not sure why it seems to be so confusing. Or maybe we are just easily confused. 🤣

    Good to see you had a good road trip. New to your channel. You must have recorded a lot of content! Might want to split up longer videos to an hour long so people watch it all for better rankings?

      Yes, shorter videos would probably do better. I've reached a point in the channel though were I am not sure what I want from it. 🤷🏻 Hope you enjoy some of my other videos. :)

    How was the AirBnB you stayed at?
    Our 13yo wants to do something similar to Archie and see Sydney, so we are driving up from Bendigo for the Melbourne Cup "long weekend" and we will need to find somewhere to stay.

      The AirBNB was pretty good, we stayed in an apartment near the SCG with underground parking. It wasn't amazing, but was fine for what we needed.

    ahhh the good old Autopilot Yeah Yeah Nahh lane change refusal happens to us a lot on the M1 north of Newcastle. though i have noticed sometimes it will dive into a turn lane off the freeway, scared the crap out of me the first time it happened. The Coffs harbour charger at Big Banana is just 2 units on a pallet and is a temporary setup. the main supercharger site in town, is usually quite busy, so its quite common when travelling past Coffs, the car will skip the Coffs harbors sites and send you to Harwood, or Pt Mac. at Pt Mac there are 2 lots of Superchargers, the slower (ist gen chargers) at Cassagrain, and the new ones, V3s , 12 units is at Thrumster, so far faster and more change of a free charger there. and a lot closer to food!

    • @notacarguy_au
      @notacarguy_au  2 месяца назад

      It’s a shame we didn’t know about the big banana one. Not sure how long it will be till we are up that way again.
      Really not impressed by that lane change thing. Once you’re aware that it could happen and you’re “prepared” for it, it’s not that bad, but still not good enough and I’d argue potentially pretty dangerous.

      @@notacarguy_au G'Day Lee.We stayed in Coffs for 4 days a few months ago, and did some exploring. I thought it might be a good idea to find the Big Banana SC, and I did, BUT... It was WAY up the hill, in front of a big shed. 2 stalls, with the best view from any charger I have been to so far. As for eating in the Banana cafe, it really isn't an option unless you are a mountain goat. The 'road' up to the charger is not marked, and we found it purely by chance, looking for a spot to do a U turn. If you did park/charge there, then went down to the cafe. you would possibly have a heart attack when you went back up to unplug and move (it really is incredibly steep). Fortunately you found the 'real' Coffs Harbour charging station (with 6 stalls).
      BTW, nice to meet you at the Cybertruck event. Regards, Greg.

      Was the original site from Dec 2016 to Aug 2018. Closed when the main Coffs site opened. Reopened late 2023.
      In recent days Tesla has added a few new coming soon points to it's map, and looks like a new site (possibly 15 stalls per NSW Govt funding docs) will be coming to Moonee Beach, just north of Coffs.

    • @scotty9946

      @mark123655 I think it came back just before Xmas 2023.
      Edit: around 22nd Decemeber 2023 it appeared online, it still shows on the Tesla mobile app.

    At many like most of the EV charging places in Sweden there is often not thrash bins, possibility to clean windshield. It's almost like EV driver don't produce litter and don't need to watch the road.

      Why is that? I hardly ever charge away from home so I'm a bit out of touch with supercharger talk. Is it just the slower speed or are there other issues?@@notacarguy_au

  • @MrPureleb

    Why can’t you just charge longer, why do you have to charge 20 minutes, if you are going to get lunch why not charge until you finish lunch that way you will have more charge. That is what I would do

    • @notacarguy_au
      @notacarguy_au  2 месяца назад +1

      You can charge longer, but one this particular trip we were keen to just get to our destination as quick as we could.
