- Day 3 on the Cucina Italy Experience and we headed to La Masseria Farm to check out how they grow the lemons to make limoncello! Along with ALL the other incredible products they grow and produce there! We tasted olive oils, marmalades, homemade bread, honey, cheeses and more! We enjoyed a delicious lunch of pasta with eggplant and provola, which our tour manager helped us pronounce! AND we even picked up some extra friends along the way! A couple visiting from Canada just HAPPEN to be there with us and we made them officially part of the Cucina Crew for the day! We wrapped things up by learning a traditional Neopolitan toast to which we happily downed our homemade limoncello!
Our day continued as we visited the amazing Chef Carmen in Sorrento and her cooking school/restaurant. Class started with our own Caprese salad. Then we hand made gnocchi alla Sorrentina, and finished the evening with her incredible limoncello tiramisu! The group had a BLAST with Chef! Learning from her and laughing all the way! Plus we all got to sign her walls - so if you go, look for my signature!
