Aeromexico provides a very good alternative to the LCC's and ultra-LCC's that dominate the Mexican domestic and regional market. Their narrowbody product in all classes is consistently very good and the cabins are well-maintained, and it's better than American, United or Delta. I've never flown their long-haul widebody routes, but I would definitely consider AM on a long-haul flight from California to South America. Keep in mind that when it was designed there was little available space on the airport grounds to put it and the design had to fit into the tight space. GRU Airport has free wi-fi in all terminals. Also the terminal 2 is the first/original terminal when this airport was built, and it is from 1985. In fact no important renovations were made at it, except the security area (passport and x-ray control)
Terminal 2 of São Paulo - Guarulhos International Airport is undergoing an Expansion / Renovation but started in the domestic area. The new domestic area is brighter with plenty of seating and shops, but yes the International Part of Terminal 2 is still the same since when it was open but they are planning on renovating that area as well. Since most international flights depart from Terminal 3 they are doing the renovation at a slower pace, unfortunately. But better than no renovation I suppose.
Great video! Thank you for the review. I recently returned from Mexico. I flew LHR - MEX return in economy. The seats were comfortable and the food was decent for the 11 hour flight. I wouldn't hesitate to fly with them again.

To be fair, the second terminal at AICM was designed like that because was concepted as temporary solution for carrying the huge crowding of the airport, as the government had planned a new airport (NAICM) for the capital at Texcoco.
To be fair, investing A BILLION USD in a "temporary solution" that only seven years later required a major overhaul is HUGE CORRUPTION SCHEME. that only people who thinks corruption is normal and hypocrisy a virtue, can justify
I always found the immigration requirement for interntional transfers at MEX was odd; it can add well over an hour to your transfer time. Tranferring in BOG, SAL, LIM, and PTY is much more easy!
Great video, once again, thanks a lot ! The only thing I dislike in this flight is the fact that the windows are blinded by the crew, too bad... Keep on with these fantastic flight reports ! :-)

I agree about that terminal in MEX. I don’t know who came up with that idea of having little holes to look outside the apron. But great video!! I’ve never had any problems with Aeromexico
An airport without windows does not make sense to me. The most fun of waiting in an airport is the view of the planes! I also absolutely HATE the dimming windows. i agree so much on the windows part!!! I always try to avoid T2 just because of the windows, a big part of my joy when flying is plane spotting from the gate’s windows and T2 is kind of depressing in my opinion
One reason there aren't many windows in Mexico city airport is because mexico city is built upon a lake. The lake used to be the capital of the ancient Aztecs and they chose a island in the middle of the lake because it was easily defendable. But since the airport is on top of a lake it is very prone to earthquakes so they have little windows.

Considering the limited space available to build T2 they did a decent job. It may not be an av-geek's paradise, but it does the job very well. Mexico City needs a new airport: perhaps the solution is to temporarily transfer all traffic to Felipe Angeles whilst MEX is redeveloped.
@@ericmabley2120 Yes we do need a new airport 😭😭😭😭 wer were going to have one, a big one but someone canceled it 😭😭😭😭. As for the flights, really impressive offerings as mentioned. Hello. I am from Brazil, and do have some comments about GRU airport. It has undergone some innovations yes - however, AM uses terminal 2, mainly the old part of the terminal. It has deficient air conditioning (but it exists) and WiFi is free all around. Possibly you have been unlucky. Terminal 3 (used by major international airlines) is wine compared to water. Possibly it has to do with airport fees paid by the airline.
Two years ago flew from Toronto to Ecuador via Copa Airlines - the most underrated airline Great service, wonderful food, and free drinks that 9ncluded wine and scotch
Hi David 👋 Thank you so much for this video. I've already watched most of Simply Flying videos. I only watch your videos and Felix' Please feature a video of the deployment and retraction of the Boeing 747 wing slats when you have the opportunity of flying with this type of aircraft. I really appreciate that you always feature the amenities and meals of the airline you fly with. Warm regards 😉👍💯
I've flown Aeroméxico for a number years and enjoyed meals in economy class but they are are slipping since COVID. MEXICO City to LAX or SFO no longer includes a meal. A recent nearly 6 hour trip from Mexico City to Lima, Peru had only one beverage service (which came with the meal). Worst of all, they cancelled over a week's worth of flights from Lima back to Mexico City with no passenger assistance or reimbursement. 6 weeks later im still fighting for complete reimbursementnbybtheir rules(!) never mind the $100's of dollars I shelled out to fly last minute to Mexico City on a different airline.
Can i point out just how good the Intro is ? I really love all the little Details in it so much that i pause right there and just look at it, so yeah cool little Detail to really good Videos :)
They also do not have any major accidents. The only one is in Durango in 2018 if I remember right with no fatalities, where the flight took off in a microburst and was dragged down. (Well I have had some scary landings in Durango too ahaha)
This certainly the best aviation-reviewing channel in my opinion. Everything required has been reviewed perfectly. Anyway, I wanted to ask which airline is the best for flying economy class in your opinion. Thank you
Great video! Airports without WIFI is unfortunately a common thing in Africa. Worst international airport is Beira, Mozambique. Toilets have most of the time no running water😅
i'm from mexico and i went to kenya in january.. i arrived and departed from nairobi's jomo kenyatta and oh god.. worst airport i've been to. old, crowded, dirty, and of course no wifi 🥴
Please, can you explain a little more about the immigration check in the connection in Mexico? Do you go together with the rest of passangers that will stay in Mexico? After the passport check, are you directed to a transit or connection hall or do you leave the security area with them? Thanks.
I have never used Aeromexico for international flights, but just recently flew for the first time in a domestic flight from Durango to Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo with a connection in Mexico City Airport Benito Juárez terminal 1, which by the way is pretty old and its bathrooms are not kept clean. Aeromexico planes used in this trip were the Embraer fleet. I normally fly American Airlines and Alaska Airlines and pay from 30 to 40 dollars per piece of baggage, when Aeromexico charged me from 70-80 dollars per each checked bag and because I had a connection in CDMX, they charged a double fee for a total of almost 500 dollars for 2 bags from Durango to Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo and back, RIDICULOUS!! First and last time I would fly Aeromexico! Watch out!
For domestic flights I don't recommend Aeromexico, try Viva Arebus or Volaris, but recently both airlines have also bad reputation with similar cases as you mention. For international travels Aeromexico is fair for me, and the service was good.
Im from Mexicali a border city with California. Regarding MX.Terminal 2 its big but, it does has its downside like with those holes not giving you a full view of the surrounding areas. I havent took an overseas flight with AeroMexico, just domestics from my city toMexico City. I flew mainly to asia with Korean Air to Seoul and Eva air to Vietnam with a Taiwan connnnection, also a Great flying experience
Though I usually steer clear of Aeroméxico flights for domestic routes within Mexico because I find their prices to be a bit too high, it is a joy to fly with them for international destinations. I've flown to/from Japan, Brazil and Spain and have nothing bad to say about the experience 🎉🇲🇽🙌
You should make a video of the airport of México city, the actual goverment just cancelled the construction of a new one, and starting another one useless "AIFA" that's why the actual terminal 2 isn't any good, was just made to relief a little bit the terminal 1
I want to love Aeromexico but my experience with them in a flight from Mexico City to Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic has been terrible. The food was peanuts with sodas and the aircraft was an Embraer E90. I´ve done this route twice and don´t like it plus it´s super expensive compared to other airline options. I hope I can have better and more satisfying experiences in the future with Aeromexico.
Since February this year, Aeromexico check in is still in the same terminal 2, but you have to walk through security in T2 and walk all the way to T3, where all Duty Free shops, restaurants etc are open. The flight condition, nothing has changed. But id like to know how you got 500 euros for a flight, as I regularly pay 2100 USD round trip from Mexico City to Sao Paulo for work.

Wow !! I am impressed !! Perfect landing at the end ,too ! You're right on the foods & their efforts showed through !! 👍👍I loved that they used biodegradable utensils !! ( the route to Spain ) The airport, though ...lol.no window at all is not right !! My mom will go crazy as she's claustrophobic !! Also , some people have a phobia with holes ,they're not gonna take it well, either !! Lol.👍👍💜🥁🐉🎤🎶✈️💞
Three Dreamliner videos in a row, great report and comparison! 👍
Awesome to see these regularly, really enjoying the content so keep it up!
I was waiting for this video!!
Finally!
Thanks simply aviation 😃😃😃🥰🥰
Mexican living in Canada, I used to take AirCanada all the time due to low prices at least below AeroMexico but the services were always bad, if you arent american they treat you horrible like really bad even racist, so I started taking AeroMexico paying bit more but really worth it, service is good and also the free food they provide is a big plus, highly recommended, Good Job for AeroMexico keep it up!!
Aeromexico is always my first option when flying, I have been many times at Benito Juarez Airport and never noticed the missing windows 🪟
Excellent video. Thanks for coming to Mexico !!!
Again, a great video! I also was very impressed by Aeromexico on my flight from Costa Rica to Canada 🙂
Also, How did you manage to book 2 flights for less than 500 euros?!!!! 😲😲😲😲😲
Two years ago flew from Toronto to Ecuador via Copa Airlines - the most underrated airline
Great service, wonderful food, and free drinks that 9ncluded wine and scotch
Hi David 👋 Thank you so much for this video. I've already watched most of Simply Flying videos. I only watch your videos and Felix' Please feature a video of the deployment and retraction of the Boeing 747 wing slats when you have the opportunity of flying with this type of aircraft. I really appreciate that you always feature the amenities and meals of the airline you fly with. Warm regards 😉👍💯
Great review, thanks for sharing, in general my experience with Aeromexico has been very good.
Another great video! Would love to see an Aerolineas Argentinas review on this series one day!
I truly love the creative intro
Up for this
I literally laughed when you said at 9:42 😄 . Because i never that word from you . By the way wonderful video David . fans from 5years .
Your videos on the channel are as close to a televison programme as can be, love your channel!
Great flight and review. Even though the duration of flight is long, but still comfortable
Aeroméxico es una muy buena opción de viaje, aviones nuevos y mucha puntualidad
This certainly the best aviation-reviewing channel in my opinion. Everything required has been reviewed perfectly. Anyway, I wanted to ask which airline is the best for flying economy class in your opinion. Thank you
Fun fact: the plane XA-ADC is flying rn at time of speaking Mexico to Sauo Paulo 3.5 hours in - seen at 0:05
Great video, as someone who lives in Iowa always love to see a local company mentioned. Yay, Collins Aerospace!
They're a huge corporation...
@dodaz5604 they are, however they were founded in Iowa.
Nice flight review of Aeromexico.
Great review. The onboard service is very impressive. Cheers.
@aeromexico is no doubt a great flag carrier. Service is superb and planes are cozy and comfortable.
When will you try GARUDA INDONESIA ??
let's go AEROMEXICO
🍇💕🔥
This is very interesting !! Just started watching now ! 👍💜🥁🐉🎤🎶✈️💞
1:33 Mumbai International airport only gives free WiFi for something like 45 mins only
Quality of the video is great. Wonder what camera it was shot with. Yet another well made video
As always, the camera gear is listed in the description of the video. :)
Amazing, thank you 😊 look forward to more from you
Great video!
9:40 "not a greedy basterd who is into airplane food" got me there
Great video!
Could you fly with Air New Zealand one day please?
Please, can you explain a little more about the immigration check in the connection in Mexico?
Do you go together with the rest of passangers that will stay in Mexico?
After the passport check, are you directed to a transit or connection hall or do you leave the security area with them?
Thanks.
Porter Airlines also serves all drinks in real glasses! (They only do economy class). Hope your team will cover them some day. They're great.
Super video!
AEROMEXICO ! 💙🇲🇽 is Cool
Aeromexico is the BEST airline to travel to and from Mexico. I did the mistake of flying Volaris recently and well basically you get what you oay for.
You should make a video of the airport of México city, the actual goverment just cancelled the construction of a new one, and starting another one useless "AIFA" that's why the actual terminal 2 isn't any good, was just made to relief a little bit the terminal 1
🤣
Crew buttered both of those landings!
Definitely did. If I was sleeping I doubt the plane touching land would've woke me up with that smooth landing
Lol when I first saw the bread roll I was like "wow, that's not practical. Who wants to peel and eat a whole grapefruit on a plane?!" 🤣
Port Moresby airport, but it was a few years ago maybe they do have free wifi now.
Fantastic video David!😸
Aeromexico is definitely doing a great job even in medium haul. An awesome meal service was offered on a 3hr 30min flight!
Great trip report
Since February this year, Aeromexico check in is still in the same terminal 2, but you have to walk through security in T2 and walk all the way to T3, where all Duty Free shops, restaurants etc are open.
The flight condition, nothing has changed.
But id like to know how you got 500 euros for a flight, as I regularly pay 2100 USD round trip from Mexico City to Sao Paulo for work.
Could you please try out Ita Airway’s new A350s?
Departure lounges should have windows to the outside - especially providing views of the aircraft.
