Yeah been using attack percent cup for awhile for certain characters. And it was outperforming the elemental cup. Not sure how the misconception got started that elemental bonus was always better but it's so ingrained in the community.
I tested atk Percent vs elmntal dmg bonus goblet on my keqing and even though atk Percent goblet had better stats in terms of crit, elmntal dmg goblet was outperforming the atk percent one.
According to his video you need 150 percent dmg bonus to make atk goblet viable. Imo, Raiden is the only character which can utilise an atk goblet. For most other characters getting 150 percent dmg bonus is almost impossible.
Very good video, and the law is also applied to Crit Dmg/atk ratio. I usually use nice piece with good roll into atk% to subtitue for crit dmg substat. As for the Elemental bonus vs Atk% goblet, it depends a lot on which one you have better substats and how you use the character.
This was actually the case with my Ayaka having too much Crit DMG. (keep in mind this is using 4-set blizzard strayer and an r1 Blacksword) I was first running a Crit DMG circlet with 1722(overall ATK) and 210% Crit DMG But then, I tried changing the circlet to an ATK% one, so that made my (overall ATK) 2,081 and 162% Crit DMG. I was surprised that this combination net me more damage (I tested this using the first hit of her normal attack, the 1st set running the CritDMG circlet was hitting around 4351 damage on a monster but the 2nd set using the ATK% circlet was hitting at 4401 damage) yeah I know that's marginal, one could even say it's negligible but it proves the factuality of diminishing returns.
Idk if I'm stupid or not but this video was pretty confusing because of the fact that around @6:00 it wasn't clear at all to me that you were bumping up the DMG multiplyer for BOTH ayaka with ATK goblet AND Ayaka with Cryo Goblet. I finally caught on to it after watching the video several times over but you skip over that detail and completely lose me. But now I get it.
I’ve been using an atk% goblet on my Hu Tao since I got her. Never gotten a useable pyro dmg bonus so it’s nice to know that I’m not losing out on too much dmg.
no cause then you will have to much hp on her (should be at least 30,000) and lose out on damage it should be hp/em cup, pyro dmg bonus cup (atk/em/hp can be fine to if your low on any of them but focus on your critical rate and dmg), crit rate/dmg circlet
Since Furina increases the damage bonus, its better for your main dps to change to their goblet to atk% (or what they scale from) because of diminishing returns. This is what makes Furina amazing since you can increase the damage further without the need of the elemental dmg bonus goblet. + Hers is a much higher dmg bonus (75%) than max goblet (46.6%) and 2 piece bonus (20%) combined!
The one thing i dont understand is the ayaka dmg with atk % part. Is that the attack percentage that boosts the overall attack power or a damage bonus? Because i thought the atk goblets i creases overall attack power not act as a damage bonus. (Edit: never mind, I think I got the gist of it.... Basically dmg bonus is useless without the proper overall attack power.)
By any chance, does anyone know how much ER is too much? I hear people saying that 300% ER is good for Baal 🏀. Right now my artifacts are at 172% ER plus baals ascension is 32%, engulfing storm is 55% and after using Ult, you get 30%.. and that’s going to put me at 289%. Minus the 100%, it’s 189% * 0.4 = 75.6 Electro DMG Bonus. but the thing is, that’s with an ATK sands. Idk if I should get more ER using an ER sands?? Would I be too much Electro DMG bonus if I used ER Sands?
Energy convert into electro damage anyways but energy is very good for her and nothing is to much if you keep everything balanced by balancing her crit rate/dmg as well
The fact you had to boost the elemental damage up to 250% is proof enough that atk% is garbage. That number is completely unrealistic. Even if your character's natural scaling is an element, with the same cup and a 2-piece set that gives bonus to the same element, you're only looking at around +90% elemental damage. Even if you could double that bonus it would still be better than atk%, and that's with your very high base attack. If you had a weapon that didn't have a monstrous amount of attack, it would diminish the effect of atk% even more. Moral of the story, atk% main stat items (aside from sands) are almost universally trash unless you're still building up your artifacts and you don't have anything better.
- I feel like the excel table part wasn't properly explained (changing a value changes other values + how is the difference calculated + etc). - Not showing footage of the damage.. specially considering you did "COMPLETE ENERGY RECHARGE GUIDE" which SHOWS this kind of thing! Going over which enemies have what kind of defenses as you show the values on screen. - This is too simple, but a good start (even if we are almost 1 year in).. Every character is very specific, as they have their own personal values and ascensions. I've yet to see someone do actual useful work on this kind of thing for each character, showing what kind of ratios are better for each character (including artifacts, crit stats, weapons, etc). Or something even more useful like the amount of ER they would need to reaload their Burst taking into account their CoolDown, amount of skill usages they can get during that time, and some rotations of same element (and different ones), auto attacks, etc.. just to reload it exactly as needed in order to re-use it (with a small window for dodges and other in Abyss).
the excel table was just all the numbers we discussed in the video! ATK, Damage Bonus , and The Elemental skill multiplier! all that was changing was how much dmg bonus we had, "the difference" was just how close the numbers were together (atk & elemental) definitely going to do a part 2 including full blown example and accounting for enemy resistances etc!
I know this is a place for calculating damage but I need to get my anger off my chest because seeing Ayaka reminded me that I had 70pity guaranteed pity for baal or yoimiya and I accidently summoned so now I have ayaka
Tbh at this point I just have no idea why such casual game has such complicated mechanics of counting damage. Like just dude, dont make atk% without explanation that its only base atk. Hoyoverse is griefing me.
Am i the only one who did, a Base atk% in Sans, circlet,And goblet :l. i tried it on my new chrac that is lvl 35 i said to my self that im gonna try to build it, im AR35 and the weapon is ATK% too. The DMG is 400 to 900 is it normal i think its still low because im new. .
This makes a lot of sense. I have Wanderer with 2-pc shimenawa, 2-pc gladiator. And because I don't have an Anemo goblet, I just slap it with atk% goblet. Currently, I have 2.4k attack with him. Is it ok or should I change the atk % to anemo dmg bonus?
why is youre ATK% ayaka dmg chaning when you change only the Cryo dmg for youre yro dmg ayaka build? also that only means that if you can get to 120% cryo dmg for ayaka it would not add much more dmg for her skill. you would need to do this for evry char to see where the atk% to dmg% is best
Interestingly one of the earliest arguments in the game. I just had a legendary 17.% crit rate substat atk% goblet on my 2pale and 2 bloodstained razor and even without crit I just deal significantly more dmg
If you have 2.000 damage with Razor you should have at least 65 to 70% Physical damage bonus. So in your case since you had 50% from artifact set bonus and the i presume another 20 to 30% from the weapon and another 30% from the ascension stats, so you did PERFECTLY at putting the ATK % goblet.
@@mr.clevertrick8710 If you are using Snow-Tombed Starsilver you have another 31,5% at Lv.80 to add, that's why i said 20 to 30% more for the weapon. You're gonna end up with more than what you need so you can focus on the ATK % goblet to increase the overall ATK and deal more damage.
i have a goblet with 58.3 physical damage bonus, 4.1%hp, 14% crit damage, 14.6% atk, 37 def and a goblet with 46.6% atk, 56 def, 20.2 crit damage, 5.2 er, 239 hp i think the one with physical damage seems good but i lose like 5% crit damage and 30% atk?

Make a separate video with gameplay proving your theory. Otherwise, it has flaws. God bless you!
100% also it will depend on enemy renitences and defense but will for sure make one!

Her skill dmg is based on her HP%. If you only use her pets to deal dmg then just max out with hp%
How tf are they different, the only difference I can see is that ATK% just boosts your physical aswell as elemental

There's no gameplay showing the damage difference between Atk% & Elemental bonus. That's a missed opportunity bud.
