    0:30 you were almost begging for your saw to kick back that lumber. Make a push stick and make your cuts in one pass. When using your track saw, use a 4X8 sheet of insulation for your sacrificial surface. It is much lighter and easier to move around by yourself than MDF or even plywood, and it costs less.

    • @ACommenterOnYouTube
      @ACommenterOnYouTube 5 лет назад

      Begging..??
      Not everyone NEEDS a push stick .. Some are confident in what they do & KNOW what they are doing...

      @@ACommenterOnRUclips Thanks, I understand, but is this a common practice, the two passes for one cut, is it safe and should I try it myself if it has any benefits?
      For me, just looking at it, looks kind of dangerous... And I haven't seen it ever in ANY of the hundreds videos I watched...

    • @ACommenterOnYouTube
      @ACommenterOnYouTube 4 года назад

      @@alopandur i always say, go with your gut feeling, if you feel scared, dont try it because that fear you have will make you nervous and when your nervous, mistakes happen.
      Something like this with a sharp blade at 10k rpm .... ready to cut your fingers off if you mess up, dont do it.
      Some dont have that fear, they feel confident and they do it with success.
      Now her 2 passes for 1 cut ... why she did it beats me. I would have fed it thru, then used another piece to pass it thru and finish OR went to the other side when she stopped and pulled it thru to finish the cut. Everyone works different

Last but not least, how many and what kind of screws did you use for mounting the bracket too the wall plate; are you concerned about fastener shear? Thanks!

    1st note at 3:07 was a stupid move .... Had one or both those wood brackets snapped off, you would have went down head 1st and maybe be DEAD now ... Just hanging from your arms with feet curled up like you 1st did was enough.
    Next you did great work with those brackets. A bit overkill and too much design went into play but i just buy 15 inch white shelve brackets from Lowes or HD for $2 and just use 3 screws and drive then into the 2x4 behind the drywall ..
