I was wondering the same thing. I'd imagine the weakest point is the eye bolts in the ceiling. Depending on depth and gauge of the bolt, it could be considerable. The chains are angled slightly which reduces the load strength, but upwards of 500lbs is likely
very good and innovative. Can you tell me the dimensions of your shelves and your thoughts of not going the full 48" in depth? Curious as I am considering ramifications of a having shelves like yours - just 4' * 8' as that would save a couple of cuts.
Nice idea, but I wouldn't put too much weight on shelf( is SO easy to do) so you dont have a nasty surprise, if the eye bolts should pull out of ceiling stud🤔😊 you may utilize the wood on the wall by the garage doors, make a support brace , going from end of shelf to top of vertical board.
Love the project, love the video, just do me ONE small favor... Tell me where the hell you find actually straight 2x4's. Because Lowes, Menards, Home Depot, all of them have nothing but horribly warped pieces of trash and it's driving me nuts.😮💨
good idea with the chains, clean, easy and economical
Job looks great. Chains are a nice touch. I'm having a difficult time finding my studs overhead with a stud finder
Excellent idea i wish i had more room above my new garage/shop. Look forward to more content
Great use of all that extra space. Chains are a grat idea too
great video, needing to do this for my garage aswell!
Great video! Hey what size chain did you use? Thanks!
Love that you still have your power ranger towel ☺️ mom
Hahaha
I do love the organization too!
Nice simple project. Just moved into a new house myself this past summer and am exploring storage solutions. This might work great
That's awesome, congrats on the new house!
Excellent work, Tim! I really liked the idea of using the hooks! 😃
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Thank you!
@casualbuilds just curious, how how far down is the top of the shelving from the ceiling?
Wow surprised you didn't end up using the logo Zimri made for you. It's so good.
Tim.... I was hoping you would show how it looked when the garage was up. To see the space view. Thank you.
shoot me a message on instagram (@casualbuilds) - i'll show ya!
same here, have the strollers hanging on the walls aswell :)
Clears so much room!
great video - curious how much weight do you think those could support

i added more support afterwards to the ends of each platform. cut them at a 45 and drilled into the wall.
I think I would have added one more chain.
Very cool, thank you. What software or app did you use to design these in 3D?
Looks like SketchUp
yep, SketchUp!
Good job thx for sharing
Just subscribe bro. I really want to get into woodworking and your videos really do help. Can't wait to get started on some projects. Keep going. ✌🏾👊🏾
Thank you!
What is the tool you used to carry the plywood off your truck?

I'm sure you could do a 4x8 and not do any cuts. I personally didn't want it sticking out that far.
What do you think the weight limit is?

Oh I like that extra support idea.
@@CasualBuilds 😊
@@CasualBuilds i would drill thru support board and shelf, put nut and bolt thru both.
Hey man what boots are those?
Wolverine's, right off of Amazon
It’s a lot of work ,not going to do it alone
I need to hire some one.
What Would it cost to do something like this ?
Didn't I see this his exact same video on the StudPack channel earlier?
Love the project, love the video, just do me ONE small favor...

Haha, seems I have better luck now since I moved to Colorado where there isn't so much moisture in the air that warps the hell out of them.
@@CasualBuilds man, I live in Iowa and it's ridiculous here! I can go through half a pallet and come away with three good boards if I'm lucky.
12-foot ceilings? You live in a castle?
Lol, just the garage!
Nein. Das ist Scheiße.
