    I’ve NEVER heard ANY other person talk about the amount of engineering that’s gone into the gas system and I’ve watched a bunch of videos on this rifle. Just another reason that makes me want this rifle even more. I learned a lot of knew information I hadn’t learned anywhere else thanks solely to your video. Awesome content and in depth video. Thanks for making the video and dropping the knowledge on us.

      And people say you need a piston system to make the AR reliable. Imo it's just an elaborate way to make the gun heavier, recoil harder and more expensive to make.

    Thinking about doing a mk18 mod 0 clone and using the high rise mount, aimpoint t2, g43 magnifier, a2 front post, lmt fixed rear sight. Not sure if they would all work in harmony.

    Why the optic riser + cheek riser. Couldn’t you just use neither to the same effect? Also can you pull the charging handle all the way back with that cheek riser? Not trying to be a dick it’s an awesome build. Genuine questions.

    • @gunsnmammons
      @gunsnmammons  3 года назад +1

      I would try to explain it but Mark Smith does it much more eloquently. Check out JBS Training Group on RUclips. Basically the riser is for a heads up position and the cheek riser provides a cheek weld versus a chin weld. The elevated optic gives the heads up stance which is more comfortable imo. It is a user preference thing that you really cant put into words unless you shoot it. I get this question a lot because it does seem counterintuitive.

Looks like it would interfere with a suppressor being mounted, or even be prone to breaking off after a hard impact. The rear irons are equally wonky, it appears that you wouldn't be able to flip it up without first folding the magnifier to the side, and i simply dislike that.

    It goes against our self-interest as civilians to be propping up and cosigning for companies that treat us as "Garbage Tier consumers." Companies like H&K, and Knights Armament cater heavily to government contracts and occasionally give us the left over scraps. Often times the leftovers we get are manufacturer blems or contract overruns..... We don't have to give our business to these companies, and we shouldn't. Glock, Sig, Geissele, FN, Aimpoint, and Eotech are some of several companies That make sure the civilian market is well taken care of, despite catering to well-funded government contracts. These companies are the example of what is expected of companies we choose to support with our money.
