- My return to Treasure Beach to go mudlarking with my friend Aad (of the channel @MudBagger406406406 ) does not disappoint. This is the first of 4 days of magical mudlarking with the Marble King himself, Aad. The tides were particularly low. Come along and see some of the strange objects that were revealed when the tide went out and out.
SBR was a Belgian audio manufacturer. The pin is probably a logo from a speaker or valve Amp ;)
Thank you 😊
As a boy mudlark in Ohio, I have been fascinated by glass for my whole life, apprenticing stained glass at 17 and later glassblowing for decades. 62 now I enjoy your and Si's videos so much, my favorites! The headlight in this one I'd've given my eyeteeth for:-) ! Your whale archive video was amazing as well! Cheers from Ohio!
I think I may know where your from.. Conneait/Ashtabula...on Lake Erie ? Im an erieite
From Cincinnati, although had relatives in Cleveland, thanks for responding;-)

Prayers for you from a tiny Kansas City suburb. May the Lord bless you and keep you always. May our prayers for you and good health reach His ears swiftly. ❤
Such a relaxing video! Well done and I am looking forward to the others from that beach. I love the little leg you found. And the greenish looking chandelier bauble. It made me picture it on one oh your fish, either as a fin on its belly or vertically as a blade of seaweed lol! Have a wonderful week!
Ard and you make an excellent mudlarking team, Nicola. Loved listening to you speaking French!
I love your videos and especially the way you send out caring messages. I'm worried about my son today, waiting on test results so wish us luck. He's not a child anymore but the worry is the same for our kids. ❤
❤ brilliant again.i suffer panic attacks and your videos calm me thanku nicola x
Hi there - I am very familiar with panic attacks and Im so glad that the videos help you. Sending you much love and many hugs, Nicola xx
Seems like this was the first time I could see stuff I wanted you to pick up. I would love to do this. When you found the two stoppers I thought I saw a yellow bead, and a bone shaped piece of metal and then another white button. Fun looking.
Nicola you are just the loveliest and most elegant lady and I did so enjoy listening to you speak french...I could only understand a word or two, lol. I really do enjoy your videos. They are a stress reliever and an escape from life's pain. You bring us great joy❤
Thank you ❤️
Treasure Beach. How apt. Lots of beautiful, fascinating finds.
Hi, it was lovely to see Ard again, he is a very interesting person full of all sorts of knowledge. What amazed me that the majority of bottles you found were nearly all intact which was a surprise as so many rocks/stones around. Fantastic finds, love all the small buttons and the little lady soldier, look forward to next video
Lovely buttons and finds. What a good place to lark. Kind of Ard to gift you the bottle, that is my favourite find. Thank you for sharing your adventures x
Really enjoyed your video it was so captivating happy you had some lovely finds god bless
It's unbelievable what can still be found in rivers. Good luck for the future ✨❇
Wow that beach is an absolute treasure trove. I love the bottles, there are so many of them.
The sound of the water is so relaxing, makes watching you a pleasure.
Thank you! Im so glad you find it relaxing xx
I loved the iron that Ard found❤
Was nice to meet you at Henfield, lots of great people and displays.........Gavin.......hope doggy was reunited with his feather hat.........
Lovely to meet you too! X
Your kindness is so heartfelt Nicola! Even if l feel a little down , when you’re addressing your audience , like we are in the same room , l feel lifted up by your words !!! Great finds today ! ❤️🦘
❤️ so glad you enjoy the videos Julie.xx
Such interesting finds, and such kindness to think of others struggling at the moment . You are a good soul 🙏🏻
Thanks for thinking of the well-being of your viewers!! I have had a total knee replacement surgery this past week. Lots of pain and swelling, but will come out better once healed!! Makes me do only the necessary things, which is rather revealing of how much excessive wasteful time spent!! Loving your videos as a way to get out during recovery ❤❤❤
Love to watch! Followed you from Facebook
Thank you Nicola for this outing. I loved the little leg you found. Did find that the name Daelemans is a very well known name in Belgium and about the SBR 'pin', found some pictures with pins just like it. Could be from Brussels radio. Cannot send the screenshots I took, I am sorry. Love your french by the way and happy to see 'a' squirrel again. Have a great week yourself and saying hi from another Dutchie😊, love, Nicole.
I realy enjoy your videos here in the U.S.A. good luck on your finds
Thank you!
You speak French beautifully. My daughter really loved French immersion for all of her elementary and high school years, she went to Paris in high school. It was as though it was meant to be her first language. My son, not so much. But learning a new language is difficult, I’m not sure if I could do it . The French language is so beautiful, and you lived in Paris! Mon Dieu! 😂 I enjoyed your video very much, but I always love watching your adventures. ❤
A big red fish eye!🥸
Nicola, you’re such a kind and thoughtful person and overall just a lovely human being! Thank you so much for always sharing your kind talented friends and all your treasures from the floor shore! Sending all my best to you sweet Nicola! Again I thank you for your love of mudlarking and especially thank you for sharing it with us friend😊❤and you speak such lovely French and English 😊
The mystery of what unknown finds you'll come across seems like a very pleasant way to spend your time. Best to you from the desert here in Arizona.
Thank you :) much love x
A BIG red "Fish Eye" there at the end Nicola...
I know! I'm so lucky ❤️
'Allo 'Allo listen very carefully I will say zis only once 😅 the telephone bought back memories of yesteryear from you know that program 😅. ❤ to you Nicola great finds today!
Nicola, your finds are amazing!! I'm just watching this and on sensory overload. I see a lot of red rocks that resemble agates here in the States. I love your videos!!!!
Bonjour ..Nicola ..!! I adore the sound of the tiee of this dear Thames..!! 😊👍
Thank you Nicola I liked the pyramid stopper hope you had a bottle to fit it.
Thanks from across the pond for the wonderful video! I like Ard; his accent reminds me so strongly of Nederlandr friends I had when I lived in Germany, and of the beautiful places I saw there. A kind people, they are, and excellent friends to have. Me, I've been on vacation for over a week (I have one day left!) and it's been a little rough-- food poisoning right at the start of it, a reservation that I had to cancel due to that, just the kind of mishap that befalls vacationers. But I'm well now and got to see a magnificent museum with the world's best assemblage of Mimbres pottery at the Western New Mexico University, and to skinnydip in some truly amazing hot springs, so it was good. But your video made it even better! Favorite find... hmm; I really liked that lovely Art Deco button you found at 23:17. The design was very William Morris.
Have a good day yourself, and many finds to you.
You always bring such good cheer to all of us. Just watching your videos lifts us up! Enjoyed this video very much!
so glad you enjoyed it. Thank you xox
Having a bit of a nasty evening,so needed this bit of calm.
Maybe thats Mr Squirrel and Mrs Squirrel is tending to kits I think they are called. Or is that otters who have kits? Brain not functioning at the moment.
Ha ha I think they are kits! I would love to see a baby squirrel actually!
You left the skeleton key😮 why???? They are so wonderful and mysterious! ❤ Lots of Love for sharing!!!!!!
Greetings from your friend in Fairbanks, AK, who so looks forward to your mudlarking adventures! Have a pleasant and relaxing Sunday, Nic! ♥🥰♥
Thank you Carol! xox hugs to you. x
I just love watching you find so many amazing treasures! ❤ the history behind these items always fascinates me!
It was so nice seeing you and Mud Bagger have a lark together! There were many interesting finds, but my favorites were the doll leg and telephone.
Treasure Beach has so many things to find. What a wonderful place. ❤ I Enjoyed your adventure outing. Thanks so much for taking us along.
Beautiful Nicola, I was so happy to see you once again. Thanks for making me happy.. Be Safe ❤
Hi Nicola. This video was wonderful, with the mud bagger.
Thank you!
Enjoyed this very much
so glad you enjoyed xx
I saw that flat iron as the waves came in and thought to myself neither of them are going to see that lovely thing!! And then Art rescued it❤❤❤❤❤
I love all your videos. They are so relaxing! God Bless you Nicola
Brilliant to include Ard's wife Monika in you video thanks. I do wonder about all the folks we meet in these Mudlarking videos as to what their life partners think of it all. ( Guess I'm jyst nosey) Nice finds, looking forward to next video. HAPPY DAYS
Ah yes, so important to include the supportive partners! Monica is absolutely adorable and so kind. She made fresh pasta too! A hero in my eyes xx
Love u and squirrel caroloy
I loved the little clear glass button you found. It was so shiny. The magpie in me sang!😂
My greatest joy is greeting the deer, Stellar jays, squirrels, and the feral colony of cats that depend on me for their treats. Art and his lovely wife provide us with many interesting finds. He has some fine collections.😊
Thank you Madeline! xx
A cross between a museum and a shopping trip with the tides prodding you on...so many things beckoning to be recognized, do be touched, to be valued once again...The Thanes is reaching, stretching to draw some of these delights onto her shores to examine in her light
Thanks for directing me to mud bagger; what a nice chap, and as you said so relaxing; I can listen to him while doing online jigsaws and switch to picture when he finds things, like I do with yours. (sorry but I'm 74, running out of time and life isn't long enough to do all the things I want to do!) His whistling is great to hear; people don't seem to casually whistle anymore; (I think it's because they are plugged in to earbuds).
Thank you for your video. I lost my mother on Monday May 13th. Its been a very hard week.
So sorry for your loss of your mom. Take care during this hard time, I will be thinking of you and wishing you well.❤
Very rewarding beach Nicola, well worth the early morning rise to get there. The French would be impressed with you. The bottle was the best find. Glad to see the squirrel again, albeit a newbie, it looks very well. Hope you have a good week, stay safe and well.
Nicola I’m a great fan of yours and have followed you for years! I am saddened to hear that you know longer can sell your beautiful fish!
I really love them, and hope you are continuing your creative pursuits. I live in South Africa.
I am on oxygen 24/7 in Johannesburg as we are at the same altitude as Nepal. I am fine at the sea side, and don’t need extra oxygen there.
My big question to you is what glue do you use to stick the glass pieces together?
I am embarking on glueing glass together to make sun catchers.
Trusting you can give me some advice?
My favourite piece you found with Ard was the filigree button 🥰❤️
Awesome Finds nice Video Thanks
it is a first time on your great website i loved it thank you i dont get out much do to vac dementure ect i am a widow with not many friends
I would have gone absolutely bonkers in this area during low tide. Bonkers!! ❤
Oddly enough, my favorite find was the bright shiny Red round half? marble ?.. what ever it was .. looks like it will make a great fish eye.. ❤
Coucou nuageux de Nice, 06 France, chère Nicola, and congrats for your lovely finds, (especially this French bottle, with such a wonderful name.. 'AMOUR..!.. UN mot magique dans toutes les langues..) i appreciate a lot as well your pleasant guest, which seems to be a very peaceful gentleman.. Is he Scottish,?.. I didn't recognize the very British accent..?.. You two are so sympathickly refreshing!.. The weather on the Cote d'Azur is nowaday so cloudy, rain, sun, rain, sun etc.. Bizarre 😅❤☔⛅🤣🤣💋 !!
Love you both❤
Thx Lisa! We love you too 😘
Thank you Nicola!
Nice seeing you two together.. Those beaches seem absolutely full of goodies.
It's a very special place! xx
I loved that triangular dish. It was my favorite.
It was wonderful to see you again Nicola !!! Art is fast at finding treasures like you !!! That is a very nice bottle that he found & gave to you. Nice old phone & I love rotary phones that what I grew up with !!! My favorite find was your clay pipe & I thought that you would have shown it. It looked like it had a rim from the top going around it & some kind of design on it !!! Like the marbles & your glass stoppers. Love to you & Mr. Squirrel from the USA ♥️ !!! 🙂
Thank you Deborah! Yes I should have shown the pipe xx
Some nice finds loved that beautiful bowl
I thoroughly enjoyed your French! And learning a bit about your past, picturing you making your way up those stairs to your little room at the top of the posh Parisian apartment building. Perhaps you could mudlark in France, though the Seine doesn't look hospitable for such activity. French mudlarkers (if such beings exist) take notice! That little filigree button spoke to me, for some reason. All great fun, and thanks so much for bringing us along!
Loved the military button. Thanks for the hunt. I enjoyed it.
Your rotary phone teleported me back to the 1960's . Something I have not thought about in a very long time . Keep calls short and sweet for a low phone bill. Stay in your area code. Going outside was very expensive, especially to a neighboring state.Billed as long distance. Pay phones were very expensive. You needed a pocketful of 25 cent pieces. In 1974 we were given the touch tone phone by the utility.
Aad must be a fellow dutchie❤
I found the identical half round ball of red glass digging for bottles in Pretoria. Apparently it is from a stained glass window from the late 1800s.
such a satisfying chunk of red glass!
New Sub 😊 from Plymouth, ma. Lovely work!❤
Iridescent glass-depression era glass, here in the States. ❤
Always such interesting finds
Thank you!
Thanks again 💕
Nokola you walked right by that iron!
Lots of good bits and pieces
Awww, didn't see the very different clay pipe which was my favorite. Did either of you take that lovely cut glass three corner dish? Thank you Nicola. I so enjoy your videos. I can no longer walk over uneven or slippery ground.🎉💜
Hi there! No I didn't take it as I had to be careful of what I took home in my suitcase!! Thank you for watching my videos xx
Thank you for adding the month and year to the title of the video!
Thank you Stacy for letting me know that that is important as I shall do that from now on!
That half red marble cd be a fish eye!❤️🦋
I really like your friend,Art!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love seeing your bits and bobs you find.
Thank you!
Hi Nicola thanks for the video really appreciated them. 👍😘
Thank you! x
The glass button was my favorite item. I would like to see 👀 it better. Love watching your videos. They are calming as well as Art's videos are. Take care
Thank you eileen. Hugs, Nicola
My favorite was the doll leg.
I liked the perfume bottle stopper best!❤
My husband and I are studying French in anticipation of moving to Brittany when he retires in 3 years. I was so happy that I understood what you said! Merci!!
Ah that is great! magnifique! and how wonderful that you are going to move to Brittany! That will be an exciting adventure xx
Our favourite find on your trip hmm! It was the half red glass lens type object very interesting. Hope you go again...Love from Norfolk. x
Thank you Roy!
Up at 3am and still laughing! Not sure I would be that happy. Great video Nicola. PS If you would like an old telephone I have one. It's yours if you want it!
I took French in highschool in Canada and got very low marks but funnily enough, I understood 3/4 of what you said.
Dunno about the finds, I liked Nicola's link from green glass to green door to Shakin' Stevens!
Nicola the pointed stopper might be that of the Shalimar Perfume by Geurlin It looks like the ones i remember on my Grandmothers Dressing table! Thank You as Always
Thank you!
Ii can tell you about Sassi. It was a cleaning fluid to remove greasy stains from clothing. We used it at our house in the fifties and sixties. It was later changed because when you sniffed it you could get high on it and it contained dangerous chemicals.
Some nice glass!! I would pick that up so fast! Lots of pretty glass!!
Was that an old iron iron that I spotted when the waves came in ? Sometimes they have nice makers marks on them. I have several that I use as weights for keeping patterns in place when making clothes or holding down posters.
yes it was! I don't know if it's the one that Aad found. I also noticed it when I was making the video!
I am wondering why you don't take the bottles and use them for your fish? Another adventure great video!❤
I'm always fascinated by what good eyesight you have and can spot those teeny little items amongst the rocks! I notice your "friend" on your left has not got his special hat on that you found for him 🙂
ha ha I know. Im not sure if he likes it or not!
Nice to see a different area!
On google Daelmans was a bakery in a place called Vlijmen in southern Netherlands in 1904, famous for Stroopwafels? Not sure what that means! Presumably reading between the lines it.s a biscuit/cookie made with caramel syrup if the blurb is correct. They are still in business. That tag might be part of their packaging/advertisement. The SBR that i found is a bonding polymer agent which is mixed with cement mortar/concrete for sealing and waterproofing. Not actual proof your finds relate and what was the find used for but it’s all i could find. Lovely video, thanks for sharing.
Thank you! Xx
Another great video. The old telephone was very cool.
Thank you so much xx
This was fun with Art!!
