Prayers for you from a tiny Kansas City suburb. May the Lord bless you and keep you always. May our prayers for you and good health reach His ears swiftly. ❤
Such a relaxing video! Well done and I am looking forward to the others from that beach. I love the little leg you found. And the greenish looking chandelier bauble. It made me picture it on one oh your fish, either as a fin on its belly or vertically as a blade of seaweed lol! Have a wonderful week!
It was so nice being able to watch you once again, Nicola! We just suffered through three EF-2 tornadoes coming through our community in Florida last Friday, the 10th. Following that 7am wake-up call, we then spent five days without power or water, and seven days without cable and internet. To say the least, being able to enjoy you once again mudlarking has made me so appreciative of the little things in life! Thanks for a lovely video, Nicola!
As a boy mudlark in Ohio, I have been fascinated by glass for my whole life, apprenticing stained glass at 17 and later glassblowing for decades. 62 now I enjoy your and Si's videos so much, my favorites! The headlight in this one I'd've given my eyeteeth for:-) ! Your whale archive video was amazing as well! Cheers from Ohio!
The glas dish you found at 5.30 is meant to go underneath the leg of a cast iron stove. There were four glas dishes per stove which prevented rising moisture from the floor from rusting the stove legs.
My grandpa, when i asked him - "why there are glass cups on the stove legs?" ,told me that he got to pour vodka in them sometime so cockroaches won't carry our vintage pricey stowe away to the thrift shop while we're sleeping 😂 I'm missing my old nan ,he was a ww2 soldier, spent 4 years in hell.
Thanks for sharing..my mother passed 5 years ago away before her bday in april..she was 49 I 🤔..is shoukd know but 48 or 9.. I miss her do much aswell... Some were not as fortunate. To gave good parents..none are perfect..my father is what I have left and we have become close after moms passing..dad has a gf wich is odd at first but it's ok ...we al need companionship..and mom said to do so.. My favorite find? A one way visit with your friendly face, familiar voice and happy attitude. Thank you. I always look forward to seeing your show every Sunday.
Oh, Nicola... thank you for your kind words. As you know my son-in-law had a brain tumor removed... He's thankfully doing well... but on a sad note our dear old cat Marge passed away on Friday morning... so we are missing her. Always nice to hear from you and to watch your adventures... they always fill me with joy. Enjoy seeing Ard again... always fun.
Hi there. Im so glad that your son in law is recovering well. Please pass on my best wishes. I am so sorry about your cat Marge - it's so hard losing a loved pet. Sending you much love and hugs. Nicola xx
sorry you've lost your furr-baby. our pets are truly a part of our family & as well loved & missed as our human family members. Nearly 2 years after suddenly losing our cat Jonah we were chosen by a new little 3 month old boy who is bringing laughter, kitty kisses & comfort every day. But we still cherish the memories of past cats who've made our lives richer.
Happy and sad news - life certainly knows how to put us into emotional turmoil! When the time is right, perhaps another puss will find your welcoming door - you obviously have a lot of love to give. X
Bonjour Nicola, je vous suis depuis un certain temps et apprécie beaucoup vos vidéos. Merci de nous les faire partager. Votre français est excellent. Félicitations. A bientôt. 😊
Greetings Nicola. Seeing the little Darelmans tag it reminded me of the time I spent in the Netherlands. I came across a Dutch Wafel maker called Daelmans who has operated since 1904, they are still a going concern. It could well be a tag that was on their tins secured by a ribbon. Thanks for your concern for those who are unwell.
I can't believe, Nicola, that you left all those treasures I saw behind on the shore. I'm shouting and shouting, I think that's a coin, I'm sure thats a ring, but you pass right over.......i really enjoyed today.
French is such a lilting language! I took French in high school, many many years ago. When I hear it spoken I remember the teacher- she was tall and slender with long black hair and black framed glasses. She looked like she stepped out of a scene from a French movie. That being said , the bottle is my favorite find! Thank you for sharing this adventure! I wanted to shout out, there's an iron! I was thrilled when Aad picked it up! I want to thank you for making us all feel so welcome!
Nicola, you are so kind. You're videos are such a bright spot on a day that is in a cycle of what we on the coast of California call May gray. Days of no sun, socked in. I can NEVER choose one favorite find. 😊 Can I say all of them? 🤭 Thank you for always sending love! 💚🌺 So many people throughout the world benefit from all you do.
Hi, it was lovely to see Ard again, he is a very interesting person full of all sorts of knowledge. What amazed me that the majority of bottles you found were nearly all intact which was a surprise as so many rocks/stones around. Fantastic finds, love all the small buttons and the little lady soldier, look forward to next video
Nicola you are just the loveliest and most elegant lady and I did so enjoy listening to you speak french...I could only understand a word or two, lol. I really do enjoy your videos. They are a stress reliever and an escape from life's pain. You bring us great joy❤

Just your kindness Nicola! It's lovely when you encourage your viewers to share with each other and ask to be uplifted. Oh, I really like your Thames Orphanage! So sweet. Much love from Forest Grove, Oregon, USA. Headed to the beach in the morning!
Hi Nicola, the SBR pin is from a Belgian Radio making company called 'Société Belge Radio-electrique (SBR)'. It was founded in 1922 in Brussels and went broke in 2002. They were also involved in making the first radiostation in Belgium. Probably this little emblem was glued to one of their radio's. I hope you're doing well and can't wait to see your other films from Aad's secret finding place. Many greetings!
I wish I had been introduced to mudlarking when I was much younger and able to walk and bendover and carry treasures.... Lovely to go along with you to see new things and meet new interesting people...Have a great week Nic BTW my Google only told me that Daelemans was a surname.
I feel the same way! My family camped at a camp ground called China Flats where a lot of gold mining was done on the river. At the camp grnd. there was an old garbage dump. My brother would dig around in it & find bottles, cans, etc. w/Chinese labels/embossing. Unfortunately, none of them ever came home w/us. Oh, to go back to that time & see that dump w/the eyes of a mudlarker.
About 20 years ago I lived in Dallas, Texas and every morning I was visited by a squirrel with a withered right leg. My kitchen had French doors with decorative iron bars. He would perform gymnastics on the bars to get my attention. He only liked to eat Texas pecans, preferably the giant ones. If I ran out and presented him with something else like peanuts, he would turn his back, climb the fence and run away. The other neighborhood squirrels would then descend and eat the nuts. He was always back the next morning as he had me trained to buy pecans on my way home. Your videos are a happy addition to my Sundays.
ha ha that's funny. I have a fox like that. She will only eat chicken wings and last night when I had none left and tried to give her an egg she was horrified!! xx
Hello Nicola! Another great day out! I saw that iron in a previous shot and was yelling at you to take it, but Aard got it later. There were a few things that looked interesting that I would have turned over or extracted, but I'm sure they were just little pieces of junk. Keep up the gooood larking! and I hope you have a wonderful summer.

Thanks for thinking of the well-being of your viewers!! I have had a total knee replacement surgery this past week. Lots of pain and swelling, but will come out better once healed!! Makes me do only the necessary things, which is rather revealing of how much excessive wasteful time spent!! Loving your videos as a way to get out during recovery ❤❤❤
I LOVE watching your vids. It's like therapy!! I wish I could do some mudlarking. It looks like so much fun. Have you considered putting a bright colour on your little trowel? I'd lose it in 5 minutes.
I love your videos and especially the way you send out caring messages. I'm worried about my son today, waiting on test results so wish us luck. He's not a child anymore but the worry is the same for our kids. ❤
You and Ard are my favorite finds, (as well as that fabulous little pipe). Such a great place to lark with so many wonderful intact goodies. Watching you lark helps to quiet my mind. And it was wonderful to see squirrel again. Sending you so much love Nicola and Ard xx Teresa 🇦🇺♥
Lovely as usual Nicola! I’m recovering from surgery so this comment is in response to your query of how your video finds your viewers! Hopefully I will be able to travel and explore more of our beautiful planet! Thank you for your efforts and expertise in creating such an interesting video! ❤
Thanks from across the pond for the wonderful video! I like Ard; his accent reminds me so strongly of Nederlandr friends I had when I lived in Germany, and of the beautiful places I saw there. A kind people, they are, and excellent friends to have. Me, I've been on vacation for over a week (I have one day left!) and it's been a little rough-- food poisoning right at the start of it, a reservation that I had to cancel due to that, just the kind of mishap that befalls vacationers. But I'm well now and got to see a magnificent museum with the world's best assemblage of Mimbres pottery at the Western New Mexico University, and to skinnydip in some truly amazing hot springs, so it was good. But your video made it even better! Favorite find... hmm; I really liked that lovely Art Deco button you found at 23:17. The design was very William Morris. Have a good day yourself, and many finds to you.
That headlight (maybe a motorcycle?) looked awesome and the glass looked to be intact. But yup -- a little heavy and large to be lugging around with you. Too bad Simon was not there -- he could have carried it and made you a fancy, upcycled lamp!!!
Seems like this was the first time I could see stuff I wanted you to pick up. I would love to do this. When you found the two stoppers I thought I saw a yellow bead, and a bone shaped piece of metal and then another white button. Fun looking.
It is a real pleasure to see you again with your friend (Art?) Hope you are keeping well. Nice finds! 😊 ❤ UK. A very interesting video, thank you.Your history is so fascinating! What a Fabulous video!
Treasure hunting with Aad is always special. I really loved the iridescent perfume bottle which he found - the colouration was magical! I watch Black Opal Direct on RUclips, where Justin cuts and polishes opals, and realised the similarities. Natures opals in discarded glass. Thank you for all the time and troublethat you go to in order to bring us these fascinating videos!
I can just imagine what is under the rocks! I could spend days there just turning over the top layer! Love watching you Nicola, and having Ard there is a bonus! 😂
I always enjoy Sunday with you. Just had an awful week. This summer I'm working part time as a Pier Agent (glorified term for a person that smiles a lot and points people in the correct direction) at a cruise terminal. I am on my feet all day on cement so I wanted shoes that would provide me with lots of support and cushioning. After researching and reading online reviews for several hours I purchased a pair of very $$ Hoka Bondi 8s. Let me say these shoes should come with a warning for people that are on the small side and have a very narrow stance. First day I wore them was Monday and while walking briskly between locations I ended up falling and hitting my head so hard it scared those around me. I'm pretty hard headed (my mother would have added that I also have a one track mind). I figured it was my fault for being in a hurry so I wore them again on Tuesday and went down again only this time my body keep going while my feet stopped in place. Hit my head again in almost the same stop (just above my left eye) only this time I got a nasty carpet burn on my forehead and my right knee. This time I was more scared that I had done some damage so off the ER for a Cat Scan of head, check and neck and x-ray of my right knee. No damage done. The shoes have been returned, the clerk didn't ask me any questions when I told her I they had caused me to fall, one look at the left side of my face said enough. My face is yellow grew, berry red, blackberry and bruised from above my eye to my chin. I haven't seen the ER bill yet, Labor and Industries will pay the bill since it happened at work, if not my insurance will cover most of it but I really feel like Hoka owes for pain and the way my face looks! PS This is also the most boring job I have ever worked! I really don't understand why anyone wants to get on a ship with 4000 of their nearest and dearest strangers. Hugs and love to all.
A belated Happy Mothers Day. Watching the news on Mothers Day morning they mentioned that fruitcake was given as a Mothers Day gift in England . Beautifuly decorated.beautifly Fruitcake across the pond is the brunt of jokes. No one knows anyone who eats fruitcake, For instance . "What to do if you don’t like fruitcake? Use it as a doorstop."
'Allo 'Allo listen very carefully I will say zis only once 😅 the telephone bought back memories of yesteryear from you know that program 😅. ❤ to you Nicola great finds today!
You speak French beautifully. My daughter really loved French immersion for all of her elementary and high school years, she went to Paris in high school. It was as though it was meant to be her first language. My son, not so much. But learning a new language is difficult, I’m not sure if I could do it . The French language is so beautiful, and you lived in Paris! Mon Dieu! 😂 I enjoyed your video very much, but I always love watching your adventures. ❤
Needed a Nicola pick me up today!! Just hit the 2 month mark of losing my 14 year old Shih Tzu, Bitsy. Going through a divorce at the same time as losing my precious fur baby has made fighting depression really hard. I’m so thankful for you my friend I’ve yet to meet!! Your videos take my mind off the struggles I’m dealing with. I absolutely loved the pieces of glass you found. I could envision the green chandelier glass as well as the scalloped piece as fins on your beautiful fish. 🐟 I also thought the red marble half would make a perfect eye for a red fish. It is my dream to own one of your incredibly beautiful fish. Considering how poorly the divorce is going, I fear it is only a pipe dream. Much love from DeeAnn 🇺🇸
This location was SO VERY INTERESTING--such an incredible variety & quantity of cool treasures!! This video was especially entertaining! I hope you get to return there soon! Thanks so much for sharing this delightful passion with all of us out here in the world! IMPORTANT WORK! And we are grateful!
Having a bit of a nasty evening,so needed this bit of calm. Maybe thats Mr Squirrel and Mrs Squirrel is tending to kits I think they are called. Or is that otters who have kits? Brain not functioning at the moment.
Looks to be somewhere other than the Thames. Soooo rocky! The Netherlands, perhaps. They don’t do much mudlarking over there, do they!? Thanks for taking us along.

that telephone is wonderful. I hope it cleans up well in the end. That blue marble was quite a stunner.
Thank you Martha. Yes that blue marble is a winner xx!
I love the bowl that you found!
Love your videos! I was an au pair in Paris and lived in a Chambre de Bonne. Those stairs were brutal.
Weren't they!! 😂
Cool finds love the glass button. The orphan toys are awesome cleaned up and repaired
Thanks for sharing have a great day
Always get at to be with you and mudbagger - looking forward to seeing your next series of glass fish
As a french canadian, I have to say "Votre français est excellent Nicola". Always good to see you with the mud bagger.
Merci Merci! That means a lot to hear!!
Wow that beach is an absolute treasure trove. I love the bottles, there are so many of them.
Hello from Greenville,MI. Thank you for the great mud larking. You found some pretty cool stuff!
Thank you! ❤xx
Lovely as usual Nicola! I’m recovering from surgery so this comment is in response to your query of how your video finds your viewers! Hopefully I will be able to travel and explore more of our beautiful planet! Thank you for your efforts and expertise in creating such an interesting video! ❤
Thank you Nancy and I hope you are recovering well. Take it easy and look after yourself. Lots of love to you. Nicola xxx
At around the 5:14 mark, the green glass looked like it was part of a round lazy Susan tray. There may have been five other pieces that were with it.
Was nice to meet you at Henfield, lots of great people and displays.........Gavin.......hope doggy was reunited with his feather hat.........
Lovely to meet you too! X
Just the greatest x 2! 🙂 much respect ✊
Thanks Tony! You're a star xx
The red will be a perfect eye for a red fish, we'll done Nicola x❤🍁
you are right Marion! I have great plans for it. xox
That headlight (maybe a motorcycle?) looked awesome and the glass looked to be intact. But yup -- a little heavy and large to be lugging around with you. Too bad Simon was not there -- he could have carried it and made you a fancy, upcycled lamp!!!
Yes, I was hoping that you would take it back for si-finds!
Seems like this was the first time I could see stuff I wanted you to pick up. I would love to do this. When you found the two stoppers I thought I saw a yellow bead, and a bone shaped piece of metal and then another white button. Fun looking.
Such interesting finds, and such kindness to think of others struggling at the moment . You are a good soul 🙏🏻
I realy enjoy your videos here in the U.S.A. good luck on your finds
Thank you!
Love visiting Aad. Marble man ❤ Great fun , Nic. Thank you and happy mothers day.
It is a real pleasure to see you again with your friend (Art?) Hope you are keeping well. Nice finds! 😊 ❤ UK. A very interesting video, thank you.Your history is so fascinating! What a Fabulous video!
Bonjour ..Nicola ..!! I adore the sound of the tiee of this dear Thames..!! 😊👍
Thank you Stacy! oxx
Aad uses a cane, as do I, so it gives me some hope I can mudlark when (if) they ever start to reissue permits again.
Oh no that sounds awful you poor thing! 😢 sending you lots of love ❤️
A belated Happy Mothers Day. Watching the news on Mothers Day morning they mentioned that fruitcake was given as a Mothers Day gift in England . Beautifuly decorated.beautifly
Fruitcake across the pond is the brunt of jokes. No one knows anyone who eats fruitcake, For instance . "What to do if you don’t like fruitcake?
Use it as a doorstop."
😂
'Allo 'Allo listen very carefully I will say zis only once 😅 the telephone bought back memories of yesteryear from you know that program 😅. ❤ to you Nicola great finds today!
The pipe! It was an unusual pattern. ❤
Really enjoyed your video it was so captivating happy you had some lovely finds god bless
I loved the little clear glass button you found. It was so shiny. The magpie in me sang!😂
What a treasure beach Ard has there great to see you both finding lovley things x
Hi DeeAnn, thinking of you and sending you much love ❤️ xxx
This location was SO VERY INTERESTING--such an incredible variety & quantity of cool treasures!! This video was especially entertaining! I hope you get to return there soon! Thanks so much for sharing this delightful passion with all of us out here in the world! IMPORTANT WORK! And we are grateful!
Thank you ❤
Enjoyed this very much
so glad you enjoyed xx
The mystery of what unknown finds you'll come across seems like a very pleasant way to spend your time. Best to you from the desert here in Arizona.
Thank you :) much love x
Having a bit of a nasty evening,so needed this bit of calm.
Maybe thats Mr Squirrel and Mrs Squirrel is tending to kits I think they are called. Or is that otters who have kits? Brain not functioning at the moment.
Ha ha I think they are kits! I would love to see a baby squirrel actually!
Looks to be somewhere other than the Thames. Soooo rocky! The Netherlands, perhaps. They don’t do much mudlarking over there, do they!? Thanks for taking us along.
Brilliant to include Ard's wife Monika in you video thanks. I do wonder about all the folks we meet in these Mudlarking videos as to what their life partners think of it all. ( Guess I'm jyst nosey) Nice finds, looking forward to next video. HAPPY DAYS
Ah yes, so important to include the supportive partners! Monica is absolutely adorable and so kind. She made fresh pasta too! A hero in my eyes xx
Dealmans is a brand name from a pastry shop who also makes “stroopwafels “ . SBR ( Société Belge Radio ) was a Belgium radio manufacturer.
How far does Dealemans date back too?
@@randi2shea i was wrong it is Belgium bakery it dates back to 1888 I don’t know if it is this Daelemans. Daelmans is a Dutch pastery name is almost the same 🙈

A cross between a museum and a shopping trip with the tides prodding you on...so many things beckoning to be recognized, do be touched, to be valued once again...The Thanes is reaching, stretching to draw some of these delights onto her shores to examine in her light
It must be lovely to see another shore and finds that are not your usual on the Thames! And how nice to take some time away to be with Aad. That phone is fabulous! (Even only half clean!)
I been watching about 10 years now. I remember you found that vespa scooter badge.
I am Brett 😂

Aloha Nicola! It was nice to meet Aad! The area you were Mudlarking in was intriguing! I loved the big, red, (Marble)? It would be an excellent 👁for one of your 🐠!The French Bottle is very unique, I have never seen one like it.😊
