If you follow Northern Mudlarks and Nicola White, you'll learn more about what your finding. That pipe is probably from the late 1600-early 1700's, the bottle is an ink bottle probably Victorian and those skeleton keys are highly sought after.
Some month ago I found my first intact pipe head, after nearly 30 years (OR MORE) ... in my country everything is forbidden, but, using your brains and your eyes is allowed...My oldest coin is from 1870 and I also found a marvelous, brand new musket ball sitting down on a new property we acquired an that I inspected. Your video is so simple, so accurate, it is perfect!
Always a pleasure to join Jason on the Thames foreshore. I highly recommend his and Nick's book -- they give credit to many of the Thames Mudlarkers and show excellent photos of their finds. For many of us, it's a dream destination. Thanks to everyone who made this video possible and especially to Jason for showing us his finds from the river.
There is history every where in everyone's back garden, I live in Carlisle Cumbria and live near a river, my son was younger found clay pipe bowl and even broken open certain stones to find fossils in them, my late father used to say to my ×5 sisters and a brother) when in town keep your window down, it means that you need to look all around when walking,
I just came across your video and it’s so fascinating and informative. I just subscribed to your you tube! I live in Milwaukee Wisconsin and it’s my dream to someday go to the River Thames, and mudlark! Thank you.
Hey there I really enjoyed your video found it very interesting can’t believe that you walk along the river and find so much treasure thank you for sharing
Hello Jason and very good morning, you sure had a great day finding all kinds of items on the low River tide ❤. Thanks for having us along ,our favourite was tge tutor shoe buckle . Best wishes Simon and Beth ❤️ 🙋 😊
Jason, I loved the talk you did at the beachcombing festival and seeing all the treasures you found in the moat around the castle . What a blessing to be able to dig through history that way . I especially like the old coins .
chaque objet trouvé cache une histoire et c'est justement ce qui me plait dans ces videos que je trouve très fascinantes.Thank you for sharing this great moment.
Fantastic video. These are awesome treasures you have found. I love the letter seal. As a teenager my cousin and i would write to our male friends that were in school at other cities. She taught me about these seals and we were able to purchase some in a card shop. Such a lovely detail on a piece mail. My last name starts with the letter K, what a coincidence . The token is also delightful and to think of the journey in history it took. I just love it all. Than you, thank you for sharing your treasures with us. 🦋🌼🇺🇸
Great video! I am a big fan of Thames mudlarking videos/channels. I think this is the first time I've seen a seal matrix AND an actual seal in the same video, haha.
I’m so happy to have found you. I’m delighted to know your from the USA too that makes it all extra fun. I’ve been following Nicole White and the Northern Mudlarks Tim Burllough. One day I’d like to walk the River Thames and do some mud larking too. Greetings from Seattle, Washington.
Such an impressive collection of finds, especially considering that you are of midwestern USA origins!🤣 You developed that certain eye over the years,I am happily envious. Hmm,I wonder, your book “Mudlarks: Treasures From The Thames” was most likely off at the printers when this video was made! Funny, not long after I arrived back home from my first mudlarking adventure,I found out about formentioned book, and told my mother about it. I ordered it a day or so later, but unbeknownst to me,so did she,as a birthday gift in December 2022! I have 2 copies of your book. One for at home, and one that I keep in my car,to help explain to the Ohio folk what mudlarking is. They are never unimpressed.
Absolutely fascinating. I love the history of this City. I cannot believe that I've lived in London for 15 years and only just found out about mudlarking. I would love to go and find some of these hidden gems in the thames.
Oh my gosh you found some very cool pieces! Thanks for sharing you have a very awesome collection! What awesome treasures! Oh my gosh! I wish we could find treasures like that out here in Idaho!

Niiiice collection, that kinda stuff excites me, I wish I had a place around here to mudlark, but I dont :( Nice finds, congrats!
Hello Jason, I came across your channel today for the first time, I have been watching many of the other Mudlarks like Si Finds, Nickola White, and Old Father Thames, etc. I enjoyed your video and have subscribed. I am also an American living in England, but in Suffolk nead Bury St. Edmunds. I have lived here altogether for about 46 years. I only realized mudlarking existed about 5 years ago and I envy the opportunity to do it on the Thames how exciting. I've seen videos of mudlarking all over Britain so maybe I'll look into it and try it up here. I loved all your finds and wish you the best. Mark
I appreciate you making this video and have been enthralled by the contents. I am also a fan of the way that this has been edited to focus on each find and expand a little with a wider knowledge. Thank you.
It depends where you find them. I found these two pipes in the gravel. Sometimes the pipes come out black, but most of the time they are white, especially if you find them on top (not buried) of the exposed riverbed at low tide.
If you follow Northern Mudlarks and Nicola White, you'll learn more about what your finding. That pipe is probably from the late 1600-early 1700's, the bottle is an ink bottle probably Victorian and those skeleton keys are highly sought after.
