Saw them for their Farewell concert on the steps of the Opera House. And again when they reformed. One of the best live bands I've ever seen. Neil is one of the greatest
Is there anything this man cannot sing? He is my favourite all time singer, I feel so relaxed when I hear this talented most beautiful man and thanks for the years and for both Finn Brothers and band members...
The way that he starts the song is stunning.... the emotion is still there.... this still tears his heart out. The beauty of this song is the sheer honesty of it. All of us that have been down that road know exactly what he sings... no way I could have found a better way of putting it. Love... desire....doubt...remorse....unforgiven ...and the guilty get no sleep....
Very well said. I love that little exhale he does right before the song starts, a subtle thing. I've always loved the emotion and passion that Neil sings with, one of my favorite things about him actually.
Saw them in Nashville at The Cannery (about the same size venue) in the early 90s. It was the night Paul quit the band during the tour. The drummer for the opening band stepped in. A great show. They shine in large and small venues.
In my youth I heard this song only once on the radio. I didn't know what it was about, I didn't know who the artist was because I didn't understand English then, but this song grabbed me and stayed in my mind. When the internet appeared, I found it only in the words - "the guilty get no sleep"! Great melody and lyrics!
This song is magic and very deep psychologically. He sings about the ways some of us fall 'into temptation' by physical and other superfisual/fake attributes Narcissists use to seduce and control their victims. He clearly went through this and made a beautifull song about his experience.
RIP Hessie Understated but totally awesome. You were not guilty If anyone has mental health issues please talk about them. You're not Robinson Crusoe, You're not treading a path un known We have been there Seek help We all love you As you are R

Perfection: no gimmicks, over production or unnecessary crap. Beautiful.

had a rough day. stumbled onto an old favorite, and the day just melted away after this. Or was it the edible? Hmm.
Can you imagine the people who go through this in a day, double time, morning and night

Neil is able to combine lyrics with melody and emotion. Long time fan.
Neil always sounds like he sings to you only, and his words always have me thinking "How does he know that much about me"? My go to band at all times.
...that is the skill of a maestro.

Deeply touched, finding this... This song is so embedded into my heart as are a few other songs of CH!
Beautiful. A very honest song.
Fleetwood Mac's newest member and singer. Congratulations Neil. Perfect fit!
I just saw him in Brussels 19/10. He's a god !!
Closing song at their show in San Fran back in the mid 90s.. this is the definitive song that got me hooked.
2:31 - When almost the ENTIRE audience sings "Climb Down" .. even the whole lead up too just that part.
I think Neil Finn despite his success is underrated as a songwriter.

I could've gone to this gig but I didn't, I'm kicking myself everyday. They sounded amazing here what a damn shame😔

Great song.
Neill!!! Greets from Hamburg! Hero of hearts! We met 1997 when you stepped out of the Bus at the Logo !!
Not their best performance but still good anyway. Maybe the best Crowded House song ever.
When Neil bows his head, you can tell he is thinking of Hessie.
💙
🔥
I would love to see Neil and Elvis Costello collaborate for a show. Two amazing songwriters together.
I couldn't believe my luck.
Esta canción es una obra de arte sublime!
