That is the image that I get listening. I only heard it in the menus but this isn't a pitching song if that makes sense. It doesn't give off that slower windup vibe. The speed of it fits the twitch of the bat as you stare the pitcher down

This song reminds me so heartily of the times I used to play the Homerun Derby mode with my father, he was a rather old school guy but he still had some tricks up his sleeve that aspired me to look up to him. It brings me back to when he’d have me catch ball just to practice baseball as a kid, I’ve been missing him and praying for his safety these past few days…wherever he may have gone, out there in the world. May his soul Rest In Peace, during his time of solitude.

Dont know if they still come out and interact conversate/pics with their fans before they perform but I have taken pictures and had conversations with Samuel in 3 different shows in Los Angeles. He's so cool and likes to interact with his fans. In the latest shows I haven't had the chance to see if he still does that cuz I've been showing up when they are about to perform but will definitely try to show up earlier nxt time and hope to catch another pic with Samuel/FutureIslands just gotta be there early... Samuel once got me and my friend in a SOLD-OUT show in a small venue in Eagle Rock/Los Angeles Ca. He came out right before the show began and got everyone that couldn't get tickets to go in. It was about 15 of us outside hoping to get in and SAmuel saved the freaking night...

@@zetino4 I had a similar experience back in 2012 or so. Was hanging out front of the venue with my friend when a guy walks up and lights up a cigarette and starts talking to us. It took me a minute to realize who he was, and he stayed and talked with us for ten minutes or so. Even offered us one of his own hand-rolled cigarettes. This was a couple of years before their famous Letterman appearance and subsequent boost in fame, so I have no idea if he still does it, but it was great meeting him like that.

I “discovered” Future Islands two weeks ago after Samuel T. Herring appeared as a celebrity Premier League pundit on BBC Sport. He sounded like a cool dude so I checked out his music... glad I did! Unbelieveable, so poignant and uplifting. I would never have expected to find something so meaningful musically in the sports pages. Now I’ve explored the back catalogue and this track (the newest) is my favourite. Just goes to show folks, if you get a recommendation from a friend or a hunch, follow it up.
