Doctors don't give ss out. I'm seeing a lot of people in the comments that don't know how the process even works. You have to have YEARS of medical documentation -- going to hospitals, trying treatments, etc. They're submitted to SS for evaluation. They usually have you go to a doctor they hire, but it's not a one step thing, where they have a say, and SSDI doctors are actually looking to deny. They get nothing for passing through frauds. There's also re evaluations every so often.
I'm guessing these fraud cases are ones that slipped through the cracks, or where the people are feeling better, but don't want to let ss know, or could be accused of fraud when it's not.
Many people aren't aware that disability doesn't mean not being able to do anything, but means not being able to hold down ANY full time job. I receive it for multiple issues, some where I have "good" days. Any spiteful person could see me at a grocery store, or cutting my lawn, and assume it's bs that I'm not working. They wouldn't realize 4/7 days I'm doing very very bad.
Then again I'm not on social media posting pics of having a blast or running a business. I recently lost my dad and only had a few days to say goodbye because travel was painful. Out of 3 days, I was bedridden for 1.5 days. Many missed events, holidays, etc... Whereas some people accused of fraud seem to be living a very full life.

No, blame the disability panels. They are the ones that make the final decision. And after watching many disability lawyers, explain what they look at. When you go into that interview, it strikes me that it’s all about are you presenting in a way that the disability panel likes you. He said he had gone into many interviews where they asked very personal questions of this person that had nothing to do with a disability claim. They never asked questions that actually dealt with the disability. Then they denied the claim. The whole system is corrupt and fraudulent.

Doctors can only go off what you tell them... You can literally go to the hospital and lie about a leg pain and the doctor will have to accommodate and give you a diagnosis... Yeah, it’s sad how people think because you do anything you don’t have a disability…. There are 365 days in a year and 5 work days out of the week. Some people don’t want a person to have any kind of life or try to be any portion of the person they used to be before illnesses came into their lives. I can tell you I did something last month that I NEEDED someone else to help me with but no one will but it needed to be done. I literally was shaking and crying asking God to give me strength to finish it. It was so hard but I pushed myself to finish it. I can’t say every time I do things it’s that intense but I am in pain many times when I am doing things. And I literally have to take several days breaks sometimes weeks before I finish projects because I have to do it all myself. Lately I’ve been trying to be more self-sufficient and can’t get a soul that I live with to help but I am trying so hard…. I would trade good health any day for these multiple diseases in my body that have me in pain and fatigued sometimes for nothing at all but when I do things I pay for what it do…. And the Fall and Winter is the worst. Most days today I am not even waking up until after 10am. Saying all this to say you can’t look at a person or judge that they are actually doing something active and say they aren’t disabled…. Disabled people are still humans and they still want to live just like others. They have a hard time adjusting to the new them and should not feel like they don’t have the right to do anything but lay in bed and get 700 lbs and just suffer until they die. Before I was diagnosed with my first disease I worked 60 and 70 hour weeks and two jobs to get by…. I loved working full-time and loved leading by example. It was so depressing for me to not be that person anymore. The last full time job I went from a perfect attendance employee all my life to a person that had to call in or leave early. And the days I had to leave early I struggled to keep my eyes open trying to make it home. I was Driving like a drunk person…. It wasn’t safe for me or others. Not saying I can’t drive; what I am saying is when I push through day after day this is what happens. There are some serous diseases out there that don’t necessarily make a person look bad except when they are in a major flare or health crisis…. It’s hard for others to see unless they have experienced it or witnessed a loved one. Prefect example is Bernie Mack. No one knew but his family and crew that he was getting breathing treatments between breaks to be on that show. Chadwick has cancer and was in amazing movies showing physical strength. And during the times when he was down people laughed at him and said he was on drugs. Sure these people obviously are frauds. They are running a restaurant and are there it looks like EVERYDAY; on time with no problem; it appeared and obviously if she plead guilty she knew she was a fraud…. But please don’t look at people and think you know their pains because how they look and/or because you saw them do something physically they are not supposed to be doing… Some things have to be done and a person that is used to not letting the fact no one will help them is probably going to be found dead one day doing something they have no business doing. 😢😞❤️🙏 I am so tired…. I said around my daughters the other day I wish I could just take some anesthesia and sleep for about a month. The youngest said you need to go get some help mom because she know that’s deep coming from a woman that doesn’t like to take drugs and only pick up a sweet drink now and then…. But I am just tired because I’ve had so much going on trying to prepare for this mess we are about to be in and there is still so much to do but if I don’t do it it won’t get done because everyone thinks I am crazy; nothing is going on in terms of shortages and such and nothing is going to get worst. They’ll probably find me dead in my garden or making a garden bed to put some food in…. Y’all have no idea the things people do to their bodies when they feel they have to push. I’ve been flared up for months now and know I need to stop but instead I suffer through the pain and fatigue until I get up enough strength to get up again and do some more because it’s not finished…. Sometimes it’s a couple of days sometimes a couple of weeks and each time I finished sometime I just thank God because only he know what it is taking for me to get it done. I know I am putting my body at risk of more harm, I do but I know it’s necessary. I have lately even though about if I don’t finish everything due to death or illness will my family finish it? It’s sad when I think about it because I can’t say for sure they will
even though they know that trying to finish it would have payed a major factor in the reason why. I know it’s a lot. I love to educate people…. Just want to give those that don’t know a little peak at the lives of people that don’t look like anything is wrong with them. Some of you will wonder; three of my major health issues is Lupus, RA, and Fybro. The list is long but I’ll leave it there. Be blessed! 😢😞❤️🙏

I also am on a regular schedule of pain meds, muscle relaxers, and antidepressants along with heart meds etc. I wound up having a heart attack due to not being able to be active. Yet a friend of ours won his case first time through and he's still working for cash as a semi driver. Even though he claims his shoulder is damaged beyond repair. I will never understand the system. Mr Horsepower I am so sorry for your loss. Sadly your friend’s story is very common. These cases of fraud are the exception rather than the rule. It’s VERY DIFFICULT to get disability. The media focuses on those who are clever enough to work the system. The majority of people on disability actually need it. I read comments all the time like this: “I get disability & I really need it.” That’s the vast MAJORITY of people getting disability.
What most don’t realize is that when you are on disability you are always very close to being destitute. The people who do well by ripping off the system are working under the table. Sometimes at more than one job. They may also be selling drugs (or black market cigarettes with bogus tax stamps) on the side.
Nobody thinking straight would choose to be on disability. The people I have represented barely get by. A lot of them can only afford to eat once a day. They cannot afford to maintain a vehicle. Disability doesn’t pay enough to survive. You are far better off going to work - if you are able to physically. If you have a partner who has a decent paying job that’s a whole different story. But there are many elderly people struggling to survive on disability who have no utilities and in conditions you wouldn’t allow a pet to live in. That’s the way we treat the elderly & disabled in this country.

Aillean Anaithnid you are absolutely right on. It is a miserable existence for them, and heartbreaking for the families. And I have been in both sides of this fence. As a nurse and daughter. Of course one tactic they do try is to keep denying until the applicant is dead. It is an automatic denial for at least the original application and the first two appeals. I fought for my mom for 15 years and made a lot of enemies at the SSS, especially in FallsChurch. Most that apply are in dire straits , and it is so little they receive, the only true benefit that is worth and thing is the medical benefits, and that can be limited. There were many times we would take up a collection on shift, and one of us would go buy groceries for the family that is stuck at home, no food, money, blankets, pillows, hygiene products, cleaning products, everything you or I rarely give thought to. That is why this shit really burns my ass !!!
Sir, I am so sorry about your friend, maybe these last two posts will give you some kind of insight for the future. Hopefully you won’t need it , but it might help you or family of friend. Peace to you Sir.

Here in Hialeah where there is only Cubans, I know about somebody whos kids and husband work, she applied for disability saying she has back problems, but since SS rarely grant disability benefits. Then the doctors (cuban doctors) refer cuban patients to psychiatrists so they can apply for mental disability. That is my neighbors case. I tried because I was born with scoliosis and a simple task as washing dishes, after a couple minutes, causes me an excruciating pain in my lower back. I was denied disability because it is really stopping me from work (I have been working as a housekeeper) So this lady it's using the SS disability to pay car insurance, she bought a dog and she only likes Michael Kors clothes and shoes, as every cuban who comes to US lately. My doctor is cuban as well and suggested me to refer me to the psychiatrist and I said, I am not mental impaired I have spine problems. But I don´t want money I want a surgery that correct my scoliosis, so I can work and earn my own money.

Love your work! I have an active case which just went supported even though the doctors for my child including his endocrinologist (he's a diabetic type 1) said that my sons school completely overreacted by calling DCF and filing a 51a. Just because the complaint came from a nurse at my sons school, they completely ignored what I've been doing and how I take great care of my son and his disease. I also have a daughter. Now, I have been found guilty of NEGLECT! Even though I brought my son to the hospital when he was sick with ketoacidosis last month and then again when dcf demand i bring him to the hospital or they were going to take custody of both my children!! He wasn't sick at all when dcf investigator Lindsey Pouliot gave me an ultimatum. Being your son to the ER right now or im going to the court and taking custody of not only your son but your daughter too. This was after 2 traige nurses told me it was NOT necessary to bring my son to the hospital since his blood sugars were ok, and he wasn't showing any symptoms of ketoacidosis nor any ketones in his urine. They wanted me to home.monitor him. That's their protocol. My 2 children and I ended up in the ER anyway that night for 4.5 hours just to be told my son was fine and healthy and could go home. The ER doctor was more concerned about a dcf investigator playing doctor than he was about my son being sick. 2 days later, at my sons follow-up at his endocrinologist, he had the best A1C he's had in almost 3 years! I'm a single mom, but I take care of my babies the best i can and know how. It's been very hard since February 20th. We lost my mom unexpectedly (the kids' grandmother) who lived with us since before I had my children. She was helping me raise them even though dcf didn't care for her either. So, I've been on my own 100% since my mom passed in February. Both of my children's fathers are deceased, and so is my father. I have no family. I trust no one, really. Every time I trust someone, dcf gets a 51a report, it seems. I would love to hire you as my attorney! I don't know I can afford you through. My children and I are living paycheck to paycheck off of survivors benefits from ssi from my deceased children's fathers. If you do payment plans or have any type of assistance for people who need help but can't afford it, I would love to know! Thank you and God bless everything you do Kevin!

Most of the people who get disability develop mental health problems because it is not good to be sitting around at home not doing any goal-directed activities. Owing to dad being a proud WW2 RAF Engineer, worked for 41 years, then British Rail did not accept it and he had to go to Court. It took 2 years to fight in Court, and then he was finally awarded Disability Benefit. But, what they refused was his Mobility benefit, and when he failed on his 3rd time assessment, the letter came and he had died. I was furious. My father looked after his mum, mentally handicapped son, 4 children, taught apprentices, took part in the war for 5.5 years and he was treated like this, disgusting. My hands are the worst. I also live with my parents. I hate living like this...I pray everyday that I get better and I can go back to my job. I miss it so much...
My initial disability claim was denied, so my lawyer put in an appeal for me. I don't want to be on disability. I want to be healthy and go back to my job as a family advocate helping other people... but I need some way to live. I was just approved for food stamps and the day I was approved I actually cried because I felt so terrible about having to do that... but I have to eat and the things you get from the food pantries, while a blessing, are random and don't always go together and need to be supplemented.
Sorry for the long ramble. This just weighs so heavy on my heart.
And then you have people who are faking a disability, stealing money from people who truly need it, and don't seem to have any remorse whatsoever. I just don't understand how their heart or conscience allows it.

Unfortunately, some never get caught, or they get benefits for a long period of time before they do. just like they said in a different video about fraud that I recently watched on here.

Nolo Kobo Good Luck. So sorry to hear about your disabilities. I feel ya. I'm 64 , 65 in June. I STILL feel I'm gonna have to work till at least 70, in order to just live off my SS. it's so hard to just get out if bed, let alone work. I'm ALWAYS told I don't Qualify. getting ready to get Medicare, but that's another expense with supplement insurance n all. 🤦‍♀️, uugghhh.

Nolo Kobo I'm getting partial SS also. I STILL have to work as I am on my own. signing up for Medicare as we speak. I can only make a certain amount of $ right now, will be able to make more as if Aug NEXT YEAR. but I have lymphedema in my legs, very swollen, and almost had my left leg cut off from the knee down due to cellulitis. and still "don't Qualify " for disability. but I have known drug addicts who get it. I'm gonna have to work till I'm 70 , hope to F--K I make it. have a good day

It's the same here in the UK. Those who claim disability benefits are often able bodied. The thing is that I am disabled AND I work. My disability benefits are not means tested so whether I work or not is irrelevant to my claim. In England, the money is meant to help level the playing field by providing resources to overcome barriers that able people do not face. Perhaps one of the key factors is that by claiming PIP (Personal Independence Payment) and being awarded the full rate, you can use that money to lease a car and you can also apply for the coveted 'Blue Badge' parking permit from the local council.
I only got the higher rate when I could no longer walk to the bus stop. Prior to that, I had (still have) a concessionary bus pass. I would trade all the benefits and perks to be able to again walk on the beach, play with my grandkids and not have to meticulously plan every journey outside the home to ensure that I won't encounter any insurmountable barriers. I live alone, I have caring children but I will remain independent for as long as I can. Those who abuse the benefits system put my independence in jeopardy and their actions are unforgivable.

I know a woman that’s supposed to be disabled and has been for years. She is supposed to have a back injury. She rides horses almost every day, takes care of her horses herself, lifts saddles, hay and feed, changes water, lifts, lifts, lifts. She worked for the US Postal Service. This woman has no idea what it feels like to have a disability. NONE!

As someone who relies on social security to keep me in my home and pay my bills it really upsets me to see people who are perfectly capable of working taking advantage of the system. It's really messed up that they can obviously work. I feel like they belong in jail.

As of October 18, 2022 on national News, the Biden administration is still issuing stimulus checks to people. That is why there is a labor shortage at every store, restaurant and business in the US. Those stimulus checks contribute to higher inflation and closures of businesses due to no available workers. I thought those checks ended over 6 months ago.
