Sir Wilfrid Laurier High School Student London Ontario Council in 1971 blew the whole student fund to have them play at a school dance. That will never happen again. God I wish I was 16 and again and enjoying those wonderful times. The whole school staff was there to celebrate. What a time we had.

One of the best Canadian rock bands of all time! these guys paved the way for so many great bands to follow I've seen them a few times the first time I just turned 16 WOW talk about a Canadian right of passage " O WHAT A NIGHT" I think they had 15 records and I can't think of ONE I don't like! I've seen about 600 hundred concerts in my time and I can't remember being so excited to see a band, and they are coming here in sept 2018! playing an outdoor venue! It has been 37 years guys since I saw them for the first time , I can't wait to relive my youth and I'm bring my 16-year-old daughter who has never known a world without these Great Canadian bands like Triumph, Trooper, Loverboy, Journey, Chilliwack, Rush, B.T.O, Blue Rodeo, Big Suger,54-40, Steppen Wolf,Guess Who,Toronto, Headpins, Prism, Sweeney Todd, Queen City, Max Webster, Haywire, Streetheart, Red Rider, D O A, Teenage Head, White Snake , Billy Talent, Harlequin and the Band to name a few off the top of my head and there are so many more. A big thank you to them all.

My girlfriend me and a friend were waiting to go to their concert , we were a little early so we went around back of the arena to smoke some pot , 1982 . We were watching these guy's playing tag football so in our cocky teenager mind's thought we would sit in the bleacher's and smoke our pot right there and watch . When 2 of the guy's came over to us and said we know your here to see April Wine but you should know that we are off duty fireman and police officer's and maybe you should go somewhere else to smoke your joint's . They looked the part all brush cuts no long haired hippies anywhere except us 3. And now we in Canada are legal to smoke and own pot , grow it , have up to 1 once on us. Me and my " girlfriend " 40 year's are still together and my friend lives on the other side of town and get together quite often . Then there's the time we went to our first 3D movie but that's another story . Got to have a rest now , typing with one finger is exhausting . Peace and Love .

I was in a 10 year long distance relationship with someone. In those 10 years I began to hope, wish, and want touch more and more. We never met once in those 10 years. Yet we spent hours everyday talking and engaging one another. There was closeness, and yet there was not
As time went on, I wanted physical contact. I wanted touch. I wanted intimacy.
When I brought it up, this person would say things like: "Why do you want to ruin our friendship?"
I felt locked out of intimacy with this person, and in my life.
This song rings true a deep resonance for me- the desire for intimacy, touch, connection- and the other person keeping you at bay, holding you off, putting up walls, & keeping a distance.
I cried many times over this person, over the idea of never being able to get that with them. Sometimes this person would even act like it was me- like I was the one that was wrong here.
The only thing wrong was me keeping up hope for a decade that this person could change or WOULD open up. They never did open up, we no longer speak.

I love this song! I found out my girl was holding hands with another guy and I almost lost my mind in 1977. Almost.
Then I met another girl, who made me forget about that first girl.
    Oh, yeah. O o o h h yeah.
