Seen Myles and crew 14+ years ago, they played with Head East band that night....asked different coworkers, friends etc to come with....they all said April, Head East who? So, I went alone. Loved the performance. So so glad I went after hearing that Myles has passed. Thank you April Wine for the memories.

"First Glance", released in 1978, was a certified Gold album in the U.S. for April Wine (500 000 plus), the band's first outside of Canada. "Roller", the lead single, initially broke in Flint, Michigan and eventually went top 40 on the Billboard Hot 100. Those numbers got April Wine extended touring across the U.S. opening for Styx, KISS, Rush and Nazareth amongst others. 1979's "Harder Faster" also went gold. "I Like to Rock", "Say Hello", "21st Century Schizoid Man" were all FM staples of the day. Finally, "Nature of the Beast" became April Wine's first Platinum selling album in the U.S. (one million in sales). "Sign of the Gypsy Queen" and "Just Between You and Me" were the album's signature songs, the latter going top 25 in the U.S. Respectfully yours in music.

Took a couple friend of ours to see them in Ottawa about 8 years ago..Goodwin pulls out the piano and effortlessly cranks this out, and my buddy’s wife is just weeping. Never heard this before in her life. Goodwin could have that effect with a song..as the song itself says.
