  • A recent Wilson Combat Video labelled "Junk Carry" needs an answer. It is an example of what happens when an instructor refuses to learn anything new. If militaries took that view we'd still be flying bi planes and shooting bolt guns.

    Appendix carry is also the only way that I think I’d be able to draw with off hand if needed

      That's an very good point. One that I haven't heard mentioned before. If you're dominant hand/arm was incapacitated that would be a problem since you're holster is on the same side.

    Ha ha! First in! I carried appendix all day today, out and about, shopping in public, in a lightweight t shirt, it was hot out. NOBODY knew anything but me and i did not shoot my nuts off. Imagine that.

    I tried all sorts of ways. AIWB was the most comfortable, as well as the best choice tactically ( being able to defend against grabs, ability to reach with weak hand, etc)

    Gabe… great rebuttal and expression of your opinion WITHOUT making it too personal. AIWB is abused by a great many novice concealed carriers, but in all fairness these same novices would also be generally unsafe with any carry method.

    It's worked for me for decades, faster, safer, more secure. Oh...I also carry a J frame in my RH pocket along with it.

    I like ur logic. I run 2:00 carry for my cz sp-01 or 2.0 compact , and deep concealment i run micro pistol in pocket

    Gabe you are correct with what you said but you failed to discuss living with a tramatic amputation if things go wrong. Lets be honest with all of your experience my guess is you have seen many ADs...

      @@Skippy-rd3mz I am totally honest. If one is a spastic fear driven shooter with habitual ADs, they should carry in an off set OWB holster and a heavy double action only pistol.
      The rest of us will be fine.

    Appendix always made sense and feel comfortable to me, however I still refuse to carry appendix with a gun gun that either is not doble action OR do not has a manual safety. There for I do not carry glocks 😊

    comfort, accessibility, biomechanics of draw, ability to control....lots of benefits. Like anything there is a risk/reward ratio..this isn't a new idea.

    Tried appendix, not for me. To each his own. I carry IWB all day long at 330. I wear X Large t-shirts and no one is the wiser. Appendix showed more for me than 330. Did not like the feel of the gun in that area, especially while sitting, whether in a car or chair. Personally, I don't know how people find it comfortable, but if it works for you, then awesome. I have trained ground fighting and taught it. I know exactly how ro defend firearms OWB and IWB at 3 to 4. With that said, if appendix works for you, by all means I am happy!!! 🤗

      Can you draw with your non-dominant if necessary?

    • @giborchayil
      @giborchayil 7 месяцев назад

      @@isaudy Never needed to, but if it was a concern I would carry a second gun at 830. If you are unable to access your firearm, be it appendix or 330, with your dominant hand, you are in big trouble and failed somewhere else. Rock, the appendix, if it works for you. I am not talking shit on appendix carry. It just does not work for me.👍
