I can... back in the 50's/60's my dad used to drag me around to junk yards. Heck I used to know all cars on the road back then by their headlights... studied very big, thick books... so to this day I love junk yards. Most in the midwest won't let you walk 'em any more...

Sarah, please do more road trips as the passenger/navigator/tour guide/commentator. Destination doesn't matter.
I mentioned it before.... An interesting project would be to select a few rebuild options from your favourite junk yard and let us viewers decide on which one for you to work on.
I have driven Priuses for several years now and wouldn't want to forego the efficiency and reliability but would absolutely prefer a couch on wheels. No sport suspension, bolstered seats, steering feedback, exhaust note, turbo boost or cramped quarters. Just comfort!

personal things, that have the powerand can load our beating hearts with sighs from deep contented breaths. I’d like a K24 MG Coupe. With properly sealed 20 yr old patina and satin charcoal chrome. faded ER Green, works racing Whires thanks👍😘😳

Considering your last extended road trip with the Fabricobler was Maine to Tucson in a single cab Ranger, that beauty of a well-kept Crown Vic must have seemed like riding in a limousine. Always love your descriptions of interesting items along the road, such as a rolling tuna can. 😂 These infrequent vlogs are most importantly a nice break from the routine of RUclips’s hardest working creator. Thank you! 👍👍👍

I have REALLY enjoyed your road trips! The one you made with your Grandma's truck was fi...um... was fantastic! The fact that your editing is fast-paced and laced with your characteristic rapid-fire humour makes the road trip footage come alive. In contrast, any road trip footage I took would be sleep-inducing. Junkyard footage is hard to make interesting to a broad audience... but YOU manage it! If you like making road trips and junkyard visits, I say go for it! I'll be here watching. Mahalo!

Junkyards! Had a 70 Torino GT Convertible I was chasing parts for. Crossed 3 states looking. I would always ask the owner of the yard if he knew someone with a stash of Torino parts. Usually ended up with dead end suggestions. However, one time a guy directed me to a large horse stables in the middle of nowhere. Must have been 30 to 40 stalls each with a vintage Cadillac convertible in it from almost all the years they were made. He had 1 stall of just Torino parts!
My VW Van clutch cable shredded leaving me with a messed up clutch cable bracket. Local VW parts store set me up with a new cable but no bracket available. He directed me to a "special" junkyard 40 miles away in the middle of nowhere in TN. The place had what looked like 100 VW Vans in a field. I struck gold that day.
My favorite junkyard find was near Manchester, TN (this was in the 80's) that specialized in exotics (Lotus, Ferrari, Lamborghini, etc.) Lots of cars. Says his biggest customers were the scientists and engineers who worked at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory. They loved to buy the exotics and fix them up from several cars to relax.

Spontaneous trips are the best. The last time I lived in Germany, I woke up one morning and decided to go for a drive. By the time I made it back home that night, I had ate breakfast, lunch and dinner in three different countries and driven through four countries. It would've been five countries but I spent too much time a Battle of the Bulge site in Belgium. I miss the autobahn. There's nothing like driving to work everyday at a100+ mph.

Super cool seeing you with Junkyard Dave. Your reaction on his channel to the Hellcat Magnum was great.

Those back roads are a real treat driving an 18 wheeler, talk about close to the edge.

Thanks for taking us along. I have been to two PPIHC events and aspire to go again, soon. There is nothing like being stuck in a traffic jam at 3:00 AM to get onto the mountain for the race.

every weekend I would go to the local junkyard looking for parts for my beetle and other cars over the years. I realised at one point, that I was really going just to be there.I found it relaxing, though a little sad to see dead cars. You never get that smell of damp sump oil out!

Junkyard was the best. You should do a FJ40 build like the ICON.

I live in Michigan.....so we don't have junkyards like that. Thanks to the copious amounts of salt we use on our roads in the winter. I could watch entire blog style videos of people just walking through yards in the west/southwest. So jealous. Thanks for the different type of content.

I enjoyed the junkyard. You’re right about the great vehicles there for parts, and appreciating. The Citroen was cool. The all wheel drive Hellcat wagon 😳.

Drove to the top of Pike's Peak in 2000 in my Uncle Don's 1990 Chevy conversion van ... I should have bought the T-shirt "real men don't need guardrails!" 😁😁😁

At the 11:15 mark I did a massive "OHHHHH!!!!" The white Subaru GL hatchback (called a Chaser in Canada)... my car in high school, to this day probably my dream car to own once again - even if money was no object - that's how much I loved that car. So so so fun to drive.

As Monty Python would say, "And now for something completely different". That was cool Sarah 😎, once again proving one man's junk is another man's (or woman in this case) treasure.
