So nice watching your evolution. After recently reaching a new length I realised that my hair needs are different. I can't wear my hair shrunken without having to pay for it with HOURS of detangling. I've used direct heat (blow drier) a total of 3 times in my 5 years of being natural and I've never straightened it. I think I might have to start blow drying more frequently. I can't wait to watch how you evolve😊😊
Thanks sis. am hoping to try a few things before I settle in a new routine or head back to my twisted lifestyle but this is what I have been doing since heat stretching the hair
African threading is a useful technique too. It gives a whole lot of stretch. I haven’t applied heat in a year and six months now on my hair. Everytime I wash I would thread and it works pretty good. I might be at waist length or tailbone haven’t done a length check in some months. But my hair lives in mini twist too because it tangles so easily plus I’m a very lazy natural. If I can’t find the time to re-twist I either wear a headband wig or wrap my hair up.
Change is good! There is a season for everything. Now you are learning how to maintain a heat stretched style. It definitely can be done safely in my opinion! I have been experimenting too… mainly with my twists. I have discovered if I twist my hair in about 45 twists and then braid the twists up in 8 braids, my twists last a long time. I rock my single twists 4 or so times a week ensuring to braid them up at night. I will definitely consider heat straightening with revere when I decide to buy one. Love your stretched hair. It makes you happy so enjoy it!!!
This is really good sis. Thank you for sharing. I just started back using low heat and my life has changed!☺️ I manage it so much better. My braiding snd twists are so easy now. I have gone back to childhood habits as well. My hair says, " twin where have you been!"🤭😅 Keep it all coming you are growing and God is transitioning you and your channel, Pivit is good!❤ Blessings Always......🙏
Your hair is gorgeous. You reminded me of something that I used to do early in my natural journey. I'm going to re-incorporate low heat blow outs back into my routine.
Jojoba oil is the closest to natural sebum. Flaxseed oil is good to use as well imo. Pumpkin seed oil is supposed to help with hair growth if I remember correctly. I've had a similar hair brush you used in this video. Boar bristle brush is old school for helping to distribute the sebum onto the hair. Brushing the hair while holding the head down is said to help with blood flow to the scalp. Note: It's been reported that since hair strands grow at different rates what looks like that the hair is uneven or damaged ends or straggly may be that certain hairs have grown longer and faster than the other strands or older strands have outgrown the new growth. Blunt cut became popular to make a hairstyle look more even and neater and thicker. Whatever you choose to do with your hair,as long as it's managed well is key(even internally). Thanks for sharing 🙏🏾 💜 💐 😀
Loved watching your routine! I too have reverted back to my childhood routines and I have seen less stress on the strands and heavy emphasis on grease, shea butter and olive oil.great tips!
I was just watching and want to tell you that tea tree oil, lavender oil, and evening primrose oils are three ingredients that I researched and found for impeding facial hair growth. There are others but these are the main three I remember. I will look it up again to find any others.❤❤❤
Your hair is beautiful. Just one thing protect your nape area. Mine broke off due to ill health, I am growing it back I've bought a satin head wrap to address it.
The three oils that I use on my scalp combined are jojoba, Roman chamomile, and lemongrass. This help with itchiness and dryness. All have good properties for the scalp. But you can use any carrier oil that works for you.
My 12yr old watched this with me, she said mom, you should be doing this to your hair every night. I just looked at her and said,no. I cant imagine doing this even if you feel i should but i can do yours and your sisters. She walked away....😂
Thank you so much for your videos, they are very helpful dear. ❤️ I’m coming for the length retention challenge. Is this challenge friendly to transitioning girls? If it’s should we be cutting our hair every 3 months? Or can we just do it once we feel it’s long enough during the challenge period?
How often do you lubricate the length of your hair in butters/oils to brush your hair every 2 weeks? Also, do you braid your hair every night to maintain your blowout? Thanks in advance.
I didn’t brush every day and I only buttered the hair 1-2 times. it was very heavy. I have videos on this coming up. this is not a permanent routine, just while my hair was heat styled. updates coming
@@NINAScheepers it’s normal to have thinner ends. Only way to level the hair is to cut the thinned ends but because of shedding breakage and hair growing at different lengths, it will likely thin out again
this is true. I am trying out a few things in my routine at the moment and will update you what the new routine will be and why. most likely going back to finger detangling and using twists

What 🙀! They slow down hair growth?
That's the nice thing about a blowout, you can add a tonne of oils/butters/serum without it looking greasy at all.😊
for sure!!!!
That’s the most in depth article I can remember seeing and I just found it. ❤

Dude, your hair is gorgeous 😍
Thank you!!🤩
I need a tutorial on how do you part your hair right in the middle in the back without a mirror.
pure guess work. it’s not always straight 😅

ahahahh cheeky munchkin 🤣🤣
@coilydiaries Looking fabulous! Do you use liquid on your hair at all during this period?
no! just the butter and oil and a little conditioner
What do you think about a keratin treat for natural hair straightening?
I think it’s great 👍🏽 any particular one you were considering?
@@CoilyDiaries I don't even know yet. It just came to mind while watching this video🙈🙏🏾
You & your hair are beautiful. Tfs.

it is! it’s up to you how you decide to transition really. just be aware it can be challenging dealing with the two different textures
Maybe you can just get a revair blow dryer too keep blwon out stretched hair
Revair doesn’t ship to were I am
I love using hair grease on my hair.

Did you get the two links to the articles that I sent?
where did you send them?
Rosemary essential oil is supposed to be good too. I just don’t like the smell of it on my hair.
Yeah that’s a good one
Beautiful ❤❤❤
🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
So do you wash your hair every month then? And then re-blow dry it?
am just typing out heat to see it I can make it work for my routine so ATM, I only blew it once and will update you on how things are going 6 weeks on

Hi there, I though you mentioned you’re not longer using brushes to detangle your hair as it causes you split ends, and you are just finger detangling
