Joels process has changed my life, I always thought of myself as a good archer but now I will be a great one.... Thanks Western Hunting Summit, Ryan & Hillary, Brian and most of all thanks Joel!!
This is the best video on the new release that I've seen so far. It would have been nice to have one at ELKSHAPE Camp! But I've got mine now and I'm working through the process. Thanks Joel!
Love how with even as much experience as you have hunting, you are still humble enough to want to get better and be coachable. Thanks for sharing this, I think I need to just bite the bullet and get Joels class. Skill and knowledge weigh nothing.
A boy shot with a finger trigger never have tried a thumb release I wish you guys would talk about what brand it is where you can get it how much it cost but I really like the concept seeing a lot of people use thumb releases haven't heard too many people talk about where they got them how much they cost so on and so forth
After listening to this entire video, wow. Wish this was available 20 years ago. I no longer shoot compound bows due to shoulders but this will change the world in tournament and hunting. Great job. Bless the knew archers.
Joel is always very interesting to watch and listen to. I used that release last week and every time I got to the click I flinched. Great video. This should definitely help some people on thinking.
There’s a story of an old bull and a young bull on a hill looking down at a bunch of cows. The young bull says, “let’s run down and breed one”. The old bull says, “how about we walk down and breed them all”…. Slow wins the race. We shouldn’t be looking for quick results by hitting that release. Staying in that moment of squeezing slowly gives us satisfaction over and over.
I have a release with a very large trigger stroke, so you can press half or 2/3 and cancel the shot by returning it back or continue the shot. It would be nice to hit the target at the same time, but as a rule it is a miss and the best result is a continuous pressing with acceleration towards the end.
I use a chappy boss invented by Randy Chappell. Back when thumb releases were invented. First Archery to shoot a perfect score in ASA 3D shooting. Anybody remember. I did the same thing till I met him and really trained. It's not easy to break bad habits.
When I am hunting and an animal is moving or getting into position I am not concentrating on talking my way through a shot I’m concentrating on the animal and getting the best shot So what he is doing is correct but you are training your brain to make it a natural reaction without talking your way through it The important thing to me is consistent form and anchor point You can make a perfect shot and an animal will jump the string There’s always a lot of variables I just have to have enough practice to be confident in the shot
I love watching these videos. It’s absolutely infuriating to watch people in conversations, ESPECIALLY students, continually interrupt their teachers. So many people need to learn to just shut up and listen.
I think there is too much focus on the release and the shot. Being that it’s being video taped and that’s what this is about. But when they are just in the shot and not thinking about the release and they are just burning a hole through the X ring then the release is perfect
Going from my ultra view hinge2 to this release has been a GameChanger for me. originally going from a stand perfect thumb to my hinge was another evolution of better shots for me
These type videos with real field tutorials are absolutely priceless. Thank you Brian, Brad and crew.
oh i'm looking forward to this!

Wow amazing 😮 👏 when they come out to the public I would love a release like that 😊
Bought one. So helpful. Thanks Joel

60% of the time, it works every time lol. Great video. Now I just have to make it happen.
Love it!
Hilarious and informative. Sign me up.
Great video!
Cool stuff! Would love to pick one up! Joel is teaching me more in a few episodes than I've learned my entire life of shooting bows. Good stuff here!!
Great video! Super informative. The point about the sound of the your competitors arrow to judge distance was something I never considered
Killer vid boys.
Shot IQ is the real deal; changed my shooting!!! Thanks guys - love the channel!!!

Just got the C. Like it so far. Working on slowing down my shot. Good vid bros.
There you go everybody now you know how to do it.

I’m trying continual self-talk of “you can stop” to slow my release. That seems to help me. Maybe others may find it valuable.
That trigger finger release he was describing was call " The Answer "
The same concept should work with an index release!!! I would buy one is a minute.
Great instructional video. Love the concept. Can you let me know what is the name of the release?
The release is made by Stan. It’s the Onnex clicker.

brad looks like a young ryan
**In your fancy language.** hahahahaha you're the man
Man those releases are already sold out everywhere 😢
So what part of the thumb should rest on the button?
On this release you settle the barrel between the tip of your thumb and the first knuckle.

Hi, are you still using the Clicker? If so how are you finding it? 🇬🇧👍🏼
Yes, we are still using it. We absolutely love that release.
Once you get to click do you let off pressure then restart squeese
I just keep applying pressure most of the time. But you can stop and start over as well-whatever works best for you.
What release is that?
Stan OnneX clicker
Crap !!! I go blank on every shot!! Dang it
Carter did make it before
IF we are trying to shoot with the ultimate surprise release, why are we using single digit manipulation at all ???
I think there is too much focus on the release and the shot. Being that it’s being video taped and that’s what this is about. But when they are just in the shot and not thinking about the release and they are just burning a hole through the X ring then the release is perfect
The worst part this video is the $350 I have to spend!
Going from my ultra view hinge2 to this release has been a GameChanger for me. originally going from a stand perfect thumb to my hinge was another evolution of better shots for me
Why? You can do this with any release, he taught shot IQ before the Stan click was released
@@loganmross I was specifically talking about the new release and its functionality.
yeah non of this makes sense.. I'm with Tim Gillingham on shot process
What ?? Really ? Tim is an all command shooter and the reason he is so HOT AND COLD
Hey Gritty....your ego is the problem :) Read the Rock Warriors Way by Arno Ilgner...if you want to be able to control the 1000 headed dragon :)
Everyone has an ego problem, including me. Thanks for the recommendation.
