Loved the color on that Griz. Even sweeter that it was an old bear that lived a great life. Thanks for bringing us along Brian to show us the highs and lows of this hunt. Stay gritty!
This series was the Definition of Grit. Two trips, hard hunting, hours behind glass, hours hiking, ups and downs but still staying positive and getting it done. Congrats.
Just when we start to doubt ourselves as hunters, all hell breaks loose and a shot presents itself. That moment goes by so quick, that you wish it lasted longer. I’m so glad you got your shot Brian! Another great film made!
To think how long that river has been flowing, how many gallons have flowed, how long those mountains have stood watch, how long those rocks and pebbles have bounced around on that shoreline. It's impossible to wrap your head around it. Absolutely incredible!!! How lucky and blessed us humans are🙏🤘🤘❤️🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Great Grizzly , what a neat color ! Great shot well done ! Rugged country brush whacking is tough and crossing rivers ! Trekking poles go with me every trip , great tool !
Watching lots of hunting videos and they all seem to do it? I live in BC and would never take the chance. 30-06 in my tent or not. Most grizzly I’ve seen in one day in the alpine is 6 and didn’t sleep a wink that night. All six bears within 300 meters.Maybe I’m weak? I put everything scented including my cooking clothes at least 100 meters away. I don’t bother with the triangle just keep my sleeping quarters 100 meters away from my “working/living area”
Wonderful hunt, wonderful cinematography, epic epic epic, congratulations, very nice, and you can skin Grizz, whoever also pics your music is spot on, for all of us that no longer have the legs to bushwhack out, thank you, we can continue to hunt through you camera, well done
At the four minute mark you show off your increased dynamic standing balance taking off your waiters and getting into your boots. All that judo is paying off :-) great editing and commentary. Keep it up.
Just finished trekking the Iditarod Trail. (950 miles). Almost all of the folks had wiggy waders. They are the Bomb for short stream crossings and winter overflow.
The stuff you guys do, the time you take, everything you do is just for entertainment. That right there is true effort, true passion most of all. My dad and me love to watch you guys! Keep up the hunting!
Gritty is one of my favorite examples of just how far a positive attitude and some(lots) of training can take a person. Congrats on the bear and great film work as usual.
It's awesome to see someone that absolutely leaves it all on the mountain! Great footage on top of an obviously unforgettable experience...well done Brian and Chris!
Fantastic hunt very well captured and presented. The awesome grizzly was the icing on a huge outdoor experience cake. Thanks for sharing. I look forward to the next one.
A little unnerving walking through the brush. I'd say that would be an understatement. Great shot and really pretty Grizz. I'd say you definitely earned it.
This whole series is the ultimate experience of almost like being right there. That's awesome of you to take the time and talk about Chris your guide and it says a lot about yourself when you mention him through this series and I'm sure he appreciate it too. Congrats on a beast of a grizzly. A grizzly hunt has always been a dream of mine. Thanks for taking us along for the ride.
Congrats! Keep it up! I've had a set if wiggies for several years now. They're a total game changer. They slip right over your boots, easy on, easy off. They have a rubber reinforced sole that seems to wear against the rocks, creating pin holes. I seal these holes and the seams with silicone. After a few crossings mine needed it. I might have a little moisture in the bottom after a crossing but definitely worth it!
What a rush when that grizzly ripped around in a circle . Huge smile on my face can’t wait to be living in that beautiful state and Great job guys killer series really enjoyed it !
Great series of films! Loved all of them! Congratulations on a great Grizzly Bear! I think I am going to go back and watch the entire series from one through five!
Now that is amazing, going in the middle of nowhere with mile long walks and thick prickling brush. Getting an animal but not the main one you were after, and just picking up where you left off a few months later. If that's not hunting I don't know what is.
Wiggy's Waders work great. Very nice not having to remove your boots. After being in a river for about 30-45 seconds you may accumulate a cup or so of water in the bottom but just dump it out, roll them up and keep going. Rubber foot on bottom is ample.
I binged all the other series this week waiting on EP4 here. So happy I found the Gritty channel, this is raw and real hunting and I love how long the episodes are. I don’t like there 10-20 minutes episodes a lot of other people are putting out. STAY GRITTY!
Congratulations on your Grizz! Thanks for taking your viewers along on an epic adventure. I can appreciate the physical and mental challenge that you encountered on that hunt. You guys are beasts!
A buddy of mine sent me several of your videos when he found out I drew a spring black bear tag and I have been watching/listening since. Enjoy your content and this grizzly series didn’t miss. Looking forward to more with you and Ryan.
What an epic adventure guys!! That country looks like a challenge. What a beautiful specimen of a griz to take home with you. Love how things go from 0 to 100 in seconds. One of the many reasons I keep hunting
Man, this series was pretty cool. Hiking and glassing for days and days not knowing if a chance will present itself. Great hunt, congrats on a beautiful bear!
This was one of my favorite videos yet! From the moment the bear was on the ground to the moment you laid eyes on it, your breathing, anticipation, and loss for words were very noticeable. The way your breathing picks up when you lay first eye on it hiking up to it shows that thrill and true adrenaline a person get when harvesting a animal. Glad to see that excitement still there after all these years of hunting. Thanks again for a great video and keep that content rolling.
Really great series, loved the scenery, so beautiful up there and deceptively thickening spots. Congrats on a great bear Brian, beautiful coloring on that Grizz.
Great series! The actual kill was quick. Chris didn’t look like he knew you were going to shoot. Self filming is a whole new animal and I thought you did a great job getting the hunt footage to support the story. Learning with every video is what I wait for in every series.
Loved every moment watching your adventure in Alaska!! It's actually great to see a video showing the "downs" of a hunt such as rugged terrain, weather/climate changes, and long days without animals... It's often underestimated what you REALLY have to go through to notch tags on big game! Congrats GRITTY! I'm pumped for spring bear season!
Great Grizzly Gritty!!! Your rifle, bullet performance, shot placement, and shooting ability were spot on. Congratulations!! I’d love to see Chris’s pack break down. He was the pack horse on this trip. Lol! Thanks for such great content. Always keeping it real!
Congratulations on the hard earned mountain griz! Those river crossing looked like type of thing that "our wives should never watch" 😉 Definitely an adventure filled with highs and lows - like most backcountry hunts. However, the scenery is incredible and the storytelling on point, keep it up fellas and thanks to your lady or ladies for letting you do these crazy trips for us!
What an absolutely awesome adventure in some of America's most beautiful country! Such a cool grizz! I love the silver colors it has to it. Really cool to see an inland grizz hunt like this. Just such a totally different hunt than you usually see. Really though it was awesome!
I appreciate the fact that you shared your safety practices while crossing rivers. It's something that isn't always thought of when a person is "in the moment" so to speak. It's easy to get caught up and take things for granted. You're hundreds of miles from help there anything could cause a huge problem out in the wilderness. Preparation is key I be interested in hearing you guy speak about the safety/life saving gear and some of the practices you use to stay safe and enjoy your outings. Great video guys. I'll be watching your future videos.
Congrats on the awesome bear. This is an absolute dream hunt for me. I love how positive you guys stay during the whole hunt, even when you are going through such thick foliage with heavy packs and not seeing many shootable bear. Keep it up I loved this series!!!
It's funny the excitement you versus me at home. You're all calm and I'm at home fist pumping as my kid looks at me weird. Lol awesome first grizzly!! congratulations!! Thanks for bringing us on your hunt from Michigan. Love every minute of it! One day I'm hoping to have the opportunity 🤞
So cool that Samuel won some Sheep Feet! Probably one of the most neglected pieces of kit and taking care one's feet in the backcountry is so important.
Great series really enjoyed it. Can’t wait to see next weeks episode with lampers can’t believe he wasn’t on the grizzly hunt with you guys. Keep pumping them out every Sunday.
As an avid bear hunter I have really enjoyed watching these. I am super thankful for the knowledge y’all provide and can’t wait for the next venture/project !
Congratulations- what an amazing series. You are prepared for every situation. That land scape from the glassing point is incredible. Please keep em coming.
Beautiful Grizzly. Your hunts and filming is epic, absolutely some of the best on YT. Thankyou for taking us along on the great hunt. God bless and keep on keeping on.
Another great episode. Man, you guys are beasts! Congrats on the bear and thanks again for bringing your adventures to us who can only dream of younger days, God Bless you sir!
Woke up this morning and first thing pops up is this great way to spend Sunday morning and to kick off our bear 🐻 season congrats on a nice respectable grizzly for your first love the colour a true mountain bear
Perfect timing, just worked two birds and they are hung up at 100 yards so I will sit here and watch on silent. Gobble Gobble
Good luck!
Watching Hunting...while Hunting! Awesomeness this man is definitely living the good life
Legend
Gritty is my favorite. Great filming, music, tips, sharing equipment used, and educational facts. Keep up the great work! Beautiful bear!
Loved the color on that Griz. Even sweeter that it was an old bear that lived a great life. Thanks for bringing us along Brian to show us the highs and lows of this hunt. Stay gritty!
I am only 5'7"...that river woulda taken me for a ride...lol
Beautiful cinematography, accompanying music ... great adventure.
Beautiful Toklat Griz. One of the most incredible color fazes. Congratulations Brian.
Wow, that happened fast! If that bear could only tell you it's life story...
Looks like a beautiful bear. Congrats!
The bush wracking probably didn’t get its full justice but WOW what an experience and great bear. Thanks for the video and sharing it with us.
I’m always impressed on how tough Brian is. He’s constantly going harder and further than most would do.
Did you txt this number and it said you want a rx7?
It's a scammer with hundreds of fake accounts using our logo to appear as us. We've been working with RUclips to stop it.
@@GrittyGearAndPodcast thanks Brian I had a feeling it was a scam
Great bear and series. Chris’ pack at the end looked comically huge. Guys a beast for packing that .
That was awesome! Grizzly Down! Nice shot and great river crossing!
To think how long that river has been flowing, how many gallons have flowed, how long those mountains have stood watch, how long those rocks and pebbles have bounced around on that shoreline. Great Grizzly , what a neat color !
Great shot well done !
Rugged country brush whacking is tough and crossing rivers !
Trekking poles go with me every trip , great tool !
As someone who lives in grizzly country it's insane to me that you guys eat, not only in camp, in your shelter.
That was awesome footage.

This series was awesome. I like the fact you guys showed the unsuccessful days. Gives a little more realistic portrayal of the grind.
At the four minute mark you show off your increased dynamic standing balance taking off your waiters and getting into your boots. All that judo is paying off :-) great editing and commentary. Keep it up.
Just finished trekking the Iditarod Trail. (950 miles).

Old beautiful bear. This hunt was extremely tough but I bet it was more than worth it. Awesome series.
That was awesome! Congrats on the grizz. Really enjoyed the entire series and I’m looking forward to the next one!
Nothing better after making the decision to send it than seeing the red on your targets side. Amazing grizzly, congrats. Throughly enjoyed this series.
Perfect way to start the day! Sunday morning coffee and another episode of Gritty.
Congratulations on a beautiful bear! What a cool hunt. My wife came downstairs this morning singing, “ Sunday, Gritty Sunday “. U2 style.
Grizzlies must look so big when their on the ground. I can't imagine! Congrats.

That is a great bear. And you're right about that pucker-bush...hardly creepy at all!
Love the backcountry tips! I would’ve never thought doubling up hip waders and rain pants but, it makes sense. Great looking bear! Congrats
I can’t quite describe what these videos make me feel. I do know it makes me happy and motivated to get outside and see everything. Thanks Brian.
A little unnerving walking through the brush. I'd say that would be an understatement. Great shot and really pretty Grizz. I'd say you definitely earned it.

Wow, that crossing is sketchy! I recently had a similar crossing while fly fishing, glad I didn't have a 70+ lb pack on!
I binged all the other series this week waiting on EP4 here. So happy I found the Gritty channel, this is raw and real hunting and I love how long the episodes are. I don’t like there 10-20 minutes episodes a lot of other people are putting out. STAY GRITTY!

What excellent taste in music!
Man you guys are out there earning it! What a dream. keep up the great videos
Hard work, patience and persistence always pay off! Congrats on that grizz!
As an avid bear hunter I have really enjoyed watching these. I am super thankful for the knowledge y’all provide and can’t wait for the next venture/project !

Alaska is so beautiful! Thanks for bringing it to us in 4K. What a great bear, too!! Congrats
