man thanks for the video, however when you say that in 2001 there were no samplers with fx and manipulating stuff is not really exact, there were samplers like ansoniq asrx and asrx pro (1997,1998) roland sp808 (1998) , zoom st224 (1999), boss sp202 (2000) yet on the market, all with realtime fx. I had one because I updated it from my RM1X. Looking back, I'm more productive with MPCX . The mpc pads gives me some limitations when I create a bass line for example. The workers standing up against management to keep the company profitable as well as enjoyable and lucrative for the employees is the natural state of a business. The dictatorships that mostly exist now are the wrong way to run businesses. So 'imagine' it happening, sure. In this culture it seems bizarre, but what they did should actually be pretty fucking normal and natural. Literally everyone who's ever worked for any boss has run into a bullheaded boss that has no idea what your job is, how it benefits the company, etc. yet they'll swear they know more than you and their only justification is their ranking in the hierarchy which happens to be above yours. It's the same mentality that, say, Elon Musk thinks he knows about a bunch of shit he actually doesn't because he made a lot of money in one specific endeavor.
@@DyReckProductions Awesome! Support local coops! That's essentially the based model that Yamaha was able to oust their, frankly, crappy leadership. In a coop, workers vote on all kinds of company business, including what direction to take the company, who they want to oversee the managing of the company and even how much everyone gets paid. Even the janitors in a coop get to participate in such elections, in a good coop, anyway. And folks want to talk poo poo about coops because they think workers are too dumb to make good decisions, etc. but if that was the case, that people voting are too dumb, then why is a business making that argument in a literal democracy where we use the same tactics to decide everything from school lunches to how much taxes we pay? :) If it was such a dumb system, we'd never run a government via representative democracy, which is essentially what one form of coop is (i.e. you vote on who deserves a promotion, etc.)
@@DyReckProductions Also I'd add that all machines from that era had shit long editing of samples IF they included chopping and/or waveform display. Go play around with the SP505 from the same year. It's the same speed and has less functions than the RS and it's only job IS SAMPLING!
@DyReck Productions I was looking at these as sound modules with a built-in sequencer / sampler. The RS is a Motif and the 909 an XV5050. They both have more knobs for editing than their keyboard counterparts. One problem with the RS - it left off some key sequencing features of the QY-700 - chord track and phrases. Also the MC-707 could have much more, but it's crippled in many ways.
@@jbognap Yeah..I hope Roland upgrades the 707..They have a habit of abandoning there gear sometimes..The 707 has alot of potential and they do have the ability to upgrade it easily.

man thanks for the video, however when you say that in 2001 there were no samplers with fx and manipulating stuff is not really exact, there were samplers like ansoniq asrx and asrx pro (1997,1998) roland sp808 (1998) , zoom st224 (1999), boss sp202 (2000) yet on the market, all with realtime fx. Plus, the same year of the rs7000 the boss sp303 sorted out...the rs7000 shines with realtime midi seq, ok with that. Peace
we could it the MPC -Motif production center....
Lol Word!
why you flipping 🍔 foe?haha
Lol.
You forgot to bring up it’s predecessor the Yamaha RM1X. Similar machine minus the sampling.
Yeah..That was also a good one..Alot of folks got that machine.. awesome sequencer.
Hey man I luv ya.
I wanna buy one
I still have the RS7000
Still have Mines
Nice.
I had one because I updated it from my RM1X. Looking back, I'm more productive with MPCX . The mpc pads gives me some limitations when I create a bass line for example. Rs7000, sampling took forever to load in that card. Midi sequencing was its strength to sequence my two other synths. It was a good combo with JV2080. Good drum sounds though.
That's the machine I have RMX1. I got it for $25 at pawnshop. Why? I don't know lol.
@@titanjake8640 it's a good midi sequencer right? That's the second sequencer of my lifetime. It controlled my two samplers and my Yamaha AN1x synth. All gets recorded to cassette tape lol.. ahhh 2001.
@@titanjake8640 Wow you hit he jack pot with that price.
Yeah alot of folks didn't like the fact it use memory cards.
@@DyReckProductions I never used it but used rs7000 for its internal sounds and miding my synths. Tight sequencer
I feel like they just took a motif and slapped it into a groove box case, cool but I’d rather keep my motif.
The Motif is dope they had some similarities..Back then Yamaha was actually trying to tell people it wasn't the Motif in a box.
Danm, Japanese unions going hard
Lol..Yup.
200 🤛🏾🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
That burger flipping picture is wild 😂
I have two....one non working. It is the first piece of gear I had to read the manual for. Does so much and 6 minutes stereo (after RAM upgrade) is more than enough time. The only flaw is means of storage (SmartMedia) but you can have have an external SCSI drive. Love this machine!
Oh yeah...auto chop is for amateurs (chumps) 😝😂😂
Lol..I feel you on the auto chop.
check it out hardcore legend john brannon 2:49
Lol..No doubt.
What a piece of shit. I was unable to find the way of loading samples. I forgot it intentionally during a move. Big Brick.
Lol Dang!
The burger 🍔 analogy was a terrible one, since the person who is flipping the burger 🍔 is not responsible for the actual ingredients and what type of burger 🍔 it’s being to be. That spot is reserved for the nutritionist and biochemist, people in marketing etc. And these people do thing about the product on a different level.
“My philosophy”
~ BPD
Wow..I was just listening to "My Philosophy" by KRS1 2 days ago.
This video clip is a year ago so unfortunately rhis darn A.I. (SAMPLE busters) is implemented soon and guess we should not have our personal music on iCloud or Google storage. Separate drive could be handy and DJ'$ should play their trax live and not sell obvious samples or ELSE THE SAMPLE POLICE will issue poopie fines🙊
I feel you.
My people.
Lol..No doubt.
Very good point.
2 minutes aint that bad for auto chop 🤣
🔥👍🏿😎
Thanks fam.
I wanted one of these until I realized the Roland MC909 was better
The 909 is dope.
@@DyReckProductions Their concern is, if they put in all the requested improvements, they'd have a mega product, but it would eat into the sales of their other products.
Lol love your videos, but you sound just like that guy “to east, to the west, back to the east” “guy got knocked back to the shadow realm”… you know who I’m talking about?? Adonis or something…. Can’t remember his name but yeah, you must be the same dude
Lmao!
Who tf needs more than 6 minutes 🙈🤣
Lol You'll be surprised.
I never heard of this machine. Looks difficult to use and takes up a lot of space. Not the best looking unit either.
Lol..Yeah its not pretty on the eyes..Buts its a good machine.
I HATED THIS MACHINE!!!! T
Dang! Lol..Some folks did return it.
@@DyReckProductions I sold mine for twice the price. It had a lot of capabilities but was too complicated at doing simple task. Then there is the fact that when you sampled you had to pick how you were going to use the sample ahead of time. I just chose to stick to my eps /mpc combo with an XP 60 and E4 .
@@lionelluney3063 Oh ok I feel you.
