What an excellent piece of music and performance. Did you ever make the RS and Deluge find their respective places in your setup? So you routed out of the RS, into the behringer and back into the rs again? Cheers
With the RS I feel more familiar than the Deluge, must be the years of training. But I often use the Deluge to come up with MIDI sequences, cause of features like Probability or Euklidian Rythms. And the Deluge is great for sampling very long loops.
@@dubcousteau that's cool, about the long loops and Euclydian rhythms...I am about to get an MC-909 to pair with the RS. Whenever I sample in the RS, I like the result, but it's not hassle free. For instance, routing like you did here, but with a sampled voice, into an fx processor and back to the input of the RS just doesn't work. But maybe that's just my unit...
Expression was supposed to use for expression pedals, so it's relative to the volume. So I can use the Expression Controller for fadings without affecting the mix of the pattern.
Really cool dub techno. How do you change styles or did you set up one style and more patterns? I have no idea how i setting up my rs7000 for a live set. What a shame. I own this thing 21 years ago 😂
Yeah, the lag beetween changing styles sucks. I used a looper (Redsound soundbite micro) and a DJ-Mixer to get around that. Looping the current style and blend in the new one.
@@dubcousteau ahhh that’s cool. I try to make my set in one style and change the phrases In the patterns. But that’s not my workflow and I think i lose track about so many phrases 😅

@@dubcousteau yes and there is more options to change a beat with the patterns. When I make a set in one style I only have 16 patterns. 16 „songs“. Maybe I add a another gear to my set. Thx for your time 🙏🏻
Whats that midi controller??? Sweeet track! People don’t believe me when i tell them the RS is the once piece of gear i would keep if i had to get rid of everything els. Such a beast.
Its a Behringer BCR 2000 and I whould keep the RS too. And just in case I got a second one (with dameged powersupply) in the basement for spare parts :)
2fear Long time ago so I am Not really shure. I think Ive tried to create a 303 flavor with a RS7k preset. Choose a SAW basslike sound, set to monopolyphony, program overlaping notes (Legato) and add a little portamento. Thats the basics.
Tracy Harms The behringer echomachine has a wonderful tape simulation with whobbles and pitch artefacts the RS FX cant give me that. And I wanted exactly that sound to get the pads more organic.
A. Because of limited deskspace and having a machine in this angle feels more ergonomic. B. The sticker is sticking on a free spot upright in the function list, so no worries.
Many people dislike late 90s yamaha gear. Because all of them didn't manage to get along with those master pieces. Yamaha workstation are fkn goood
I JUST PULLED DA TRIGGA ON ONE OF THESE, VERY HAPPY x
Soooooo sick. Feels like im in a hovercraft
You seem to know what you're doing. Nice job.
30’C outside.... need this chill to rest from the heat of the day :-D. Thanks for sharing!
Echoes are my favourite
👍🤖🖐
Epic Bro!
lovely bass on this one.
great track
perfect dubby sounds for this cold snowy day.
I dig it. 👍

Have listened to loads of your jams over last few months. First time commenting. They are consistently enjoyable.
Great Track!
I understand you use expression parameter CC11. Is that for Volume? (cc07)
How about using cc71 Resonance?
PS envious on that AIEB2 🙂

@@dubcousteau great! I am going to check that out as well. Ideal to hold the volumes.
Man, this is so good.
Love this tune
Superb lushness! :-D
perfecto!
I am jealous that you have the AIEB2 expansion card installed in your RS7000. Those are hard to find.
Glad, that I got this years ago. At this point it was still affordable.
nice stuff
Cool !

What would have been different if you had used one of the built in RS7000 delay effects instead of a pedal?
Tracy Harms The behringer echomachine has a wonderful tape simulation with whobbles and pitch artefacts the RS FX cant give me that. And I wanted exactly that sound to get the pads more organic.
Cool track but why would you A. Have this machine upright against a wall, and B. A sticker covering the functions list?
