thanks for playing this game, it is important to the classic jrpg community! its based on Suikoden 2 which is amazing and getting remastered soon, highly recommend
Hehe, I dunno if you're going to stream the whole game, but if you keep playing it on your own, I hope you have a great time! Suikoden is one of my favorite JRPG series and I've been dying for a revival for years (or best case scenario, a Suikoden 6, though I don't trust current day Konami with in-house developed games) The saddest part is Yoshitaka Murayama passing on before the release of the game. I really hope the game succeeds and he can rest in peace knowing he gave us one last great journey (and possibly give the rest of the team the opportunity to eventually work on a sequel). He wasn't that well known nor did he work on a lot of games, but being the creator of a series that marked the late 90's and early 2000 JRPG scene so profoundly is nothing to scoff at. Suikoden is remembered fondly by those who played them and Eiyuden Chronicles is meant to be a spiritual successor to Suikoden. Anyway... Rambling on again. Thank you for the video and hope you have a good time with the game!
"We're recruiting all of the animaaaaals... in the partyyyy... because he's Nowa!" *awkward pause* "Okay... ... ... IT'S LIKE A ZOO SIMULATOR!" Right or wrong, I appreciate the enthusiasm.
I just finished Suikoden 2 and it's soooooo gooooooooood. Once I finish Eiyuden (and Wild Arms 'cause I also wanna check that one out), I'm excited for Suikoden 3
ok, so if you've never played any Suikoden game, you definitely need to play 1-2-3 at least, you will love them. (I love J-RPG and Suikoden 2 has always been my favorite game of all time)
I knew this was coming out relatively soon, but was unsure of the battle system. This little peek into the intro was a nice treat! Look great. also, I also have the impulse to pet every cat I see in games :)
Never heard of it but it looks great! IMMEDIATELY thought of Suikoden when it started so glad your chat brought it up. Probably the easiest critism of Suikoden franchise the recurring number of 108 characters but you can only field 6 at a time making it hard to really even attempt to use everyone. So glad to see 10 and then trying to seperate them into rolls. Design and battle system look related too so I'm curious how much dev overlap there is. Also for your bingo card don't forget; evil church/religion, flamboyant and or sexually androgenous character, direct religeous references, the childhood friend XD. Really might have to pick this up so thanks for the look.
It's still really only six - the support slot gives you a passive buff and the attendant slots are only for story-mandatory characters that you don't want in the battle party (which is a really cool feature!) As far as I understand it's a new dev team but it's written by the creator of Suikoden who also consulted on it - I'm about a dozen hours in and I think the team has absolutely nailed it.
As soon as I saw how many cats you could interact with I hoped this was on your radar. I loved Suikoden and I think if you're vibing with Nowa/Seign you would too because the foundation of Suikoden is The Star-Crossed Boys.
Maybe Seign comes off differently in other language dubs, but so far in English it just sounds to me like the other character _really_ expect him to be a jerk and get annoyed when he isn't.
The Symphonia comparison is apt, since we are also dealing with a red clad, dual wielding MC with a singular braincell.
Nowa and Mio? They truly find themselves in every life...
Now we just need Fwei and Elly and we're good to go!
A passage of fate
YOU CANNOT JUST FUCKING DROP THAT

But seriously, you should do playthroughs of Suikoden 1-3, and 5
What happen to 4 XD?
You really need to play suikoden 1,2,3 and 5 ! The 5 too is good !

Sad that Yoshitaka Murayama, the creator of this game and the Suikoden series, passed away before the full released.
Pretty sure all the named animals were from people getting to name an animal in game after their pet in the Kickstarter.
Correct. Poor spelling and all
Crystaahhl’s crackpot theories are Mystery Food X levels of “girl wtf are you cooking” (affectionate)

Title screen: Hundred Heroes
Crystaaaahl: Idk how many, about 8?
I'm still waiting for my copy to arrive from the Kickstarter. Suikoden (especially Suikoden 2) is legit one of my favorite RPG series ever.

And the remaster is comming!

Idk what this game is but it screams jrpg and my wallet is looking at me knowing whats about to happen
Its on gamepass if that helps
Suikoden 2 is my favorite game of all time so I'm happy you playing their successors
1:00 in my head canon, that’s because this a Suikoden clone.
The best kinda clone, because it is indeed made by Suikoden creative leads.
Rest in peace Murayama

"If I had to guess, theres like 8 characters" 2 seconds after "oh wait" lmao
the start of the game 3 hours of play time .....

franseska is packing some damage for a healer, idk if it'll stay like that late game but right now, it's pretty good.
