Palatine lunges at Chief and prepares to strike, but the Arbiter come in from behind Chief block the attack. Chief gets behind Palps and before Palps can even react Chief snaps his neck.
Chief: That was the easiest thing I’ve ever done. Ha and those space wizards wanted to send some of their ranks to fight this guy.

@John Paul Beerer Sure, in the novel. But in the movie.... However I don't see how chief also being fast "negates" The Senate's speed. That means he can match him, not that Palpatine's speed no longer factors in. Plus, Palpatine has powerful precognition. Chief might have inhuman reaction times, but Palp can react to things before they've even happened.
@John Paul Beerer What if Palp uses Telekinesis or force lightning? He could just launch Chief out the window. Chief would probably survive the fall of course, but he'd be out of the picture.
@John Paul Beerer Even if Sideous couldn't use telekinesis on chief directly (and it seems like the force has a harder time directly effecting living things in general), he could still throw a desk or a wall or something at him. And if we're talking about the larger context, if Chief was actually way to strong for Palps to beat, he just wouldn't fight him, he'd find some other way to take him out of the picture.

@@serendal I don't know actually... With the personal shield generators, along with a wide variety of of weapons spread out among the five of them, they might, if they worked together effectively, could have a chance at winning.
The real issue is figuring out who to listen to, the man literally born for war and worked with his brothers for years, training under a man who roots out weaknesses in the most brutal way possible, or a man with genetic enhancements with at least 50 years of experience.

"Sierra 117 was like no other soldier I've ever seen. He definitely wasn't a clone. He was bigger than all of us, and faster too. His armor was bulky, but strangely majestic, equipped with form fitted energy shields. He single-handedly tore through Clankers left and right, even Droid Commandos stood little chance against him, he was a killing machine! With the help of his A.I, called herself Cortana, we stole the data we came for and headed for extraction. That was when the ship began to self destruct. I was injured, and told the others to leave me. He wouldn't. He just lifted me over his shoulder and booked. He tossed me into an escape pod with the rest of my team. He couldn't fit, and elected to find an another way out. We watched as the cruiser crumbled and exploded, thinking he was vaporized. Then CLANG, he'd entered the vacuum and FLEW to our escape pod! Pretty good for a brick. We set a beacon and waited for evac. Luckily, a Venator just happened to be behind a moon nearby. Command was confused by our new ally, but nonetheless thrilled to have such an asset with them. We fought together for only a month before he went off on his own. Something about dimensional...something. I haven't seen him since. I'd like to think that somewhere, he's kicking ass like he did the separatists. He may not have been a clone, but he was a damn fine solder, and I consider him brother.

Actually on that note, I think clones are better than Spartans, but no clone is better than the Master Chief. Even Captain Rex, as much as I love him. Of course, those two would never fight each other irl. They'd like each other too much.

Operation knightfall is in effect. As clones sweep the Jedi Temple, meeting heavy resistance but enduring, the younglings hide in the council chamber. To their surprise, it's neither Jedi nor clone that enters the chamber, but a large soldier in an armor pattern they couldn't recognize. They had heard stories of the Spartan John 117, ranked Master Chief Petty Officer, enough of them to give the young ones hope.
-Master Chief, there are too many of them, what are we going to do?!
The soldier looked the youngling in the eye and despite the reflective visor, the young Jedi could tell the Spartan was giving them a sympathetic look.
-Stay behind me...
Seeming to hear something beyond the hearing of any of the younglings, the Master Chief turned on his heel and aimed his rifle at the chamber door, causing the ypunglings to hide once more. The person to appear was Anikin Skywalker, however, something in his appearance and the Master Chief’s hostility made the younglings uneasy.
-Sierra 117, stand down and give me the younglings.
-I can't do that general.
Skywalker produced his lightsaber from his dark robes, stepping forwards ominously, cold, blind rage filling his face, eyes shining orange.
-I am ordering you... - his saber ignites, bathing the darkened chamber in a cold blue light - TO HAND OVER THOSE JEDI!!
The Jedi Knight’s voice echoes across the room, piercing the ears of the younglings as their hopes shattered. The Chief, however, was not intimidated. Knowing his rifle would be of little use against such an opponent, the Spartan magnetically clipped it to his back, and produced an odd handle from his belt. To everyone's surprise, a lightsaber burst from the handle, however, it was unlike any saber the Jedi had seen: double-pronged, broad, translucent, the pale blue plasma glistening like glass.
The Chief didn't raise his weapon, didn't attempt to intimidate the Jedi Knight before him, he merely assumed a combat pose and, in a cold tone that caught even Skywalker off guard, calmly answered with two words:
-No sir
Gotta be honest, Chief would probably have gone along with Order 66. People seem to forget that Chief was very much a “good soldiers follow orders” kinda guy before Halo 4. Daisy would honestly fit better with this scene.
Also, Chief doesn’t have much chance against Anakin. Spartans are powerful, but Jedi have space magic, and this was the time when Anakin was at his strongest in terms of force abilities.
@@addisonwelsh chief has shown a disposition to ignore or disobey orders that he finds unethical, immoral, or counterproductive (best evidenced by Halo 4 and 5, although you see hints of it throughout the series). The thing is the UNSC’s war with the Covenant for the most part was conducted by competent, well-meaning officers fighting to save humanity from a genocidal force, so Chief and the UNSC wouldn't be out of sync in terms of mission objectives.
The Clone Wars on the other hand? A war of succession where the Separatists commit war crimes against civilians and the Republic commits them against Separatist officers while fielding a slave army. And while Chief would probably side with the Republic because at least they aren't targeting civilians and the clone army is something he can sympathize with as a Spartan (not to mention the overwhelming odds the Republic was fighting), Order 66 would be a whole other story: the baseless accusations of treason of an order of warriors (some of them harmless children just learning to not hurt people with their powers) that have shown nothing but loyalty would lead Chief (and Cortana and Blue Team) to go AWOL to investigate, save Jedi from extermination, save the clones from the manipulation of the chips (again, as Spartans this would hit home hard), and/or the capture/elimination of Palpatine for giving the order (and creating the war if they have that intel, which, if Cortana is on the team, is almost a guarantee, especially with the Fives incident).
Regarding John 117 vs Anakin Skywalker, while the Force is an advantage against Spartans, I think you underestimate just how scary Spartans in Mjolnir are. It's to the degree where even with the Force enhancing his physicality, I’d say Anakin is physically out-matched by any Spartan in Mjolnir, which also means that it would be hard for Anakin to use non-physical Force powers because of how hard and fast John would be able to engage him (don't get me wrong, this wouldn't be an obstacle for a Force-centric master like Yoda or Sidious, but Anakin was never really well versed in none-lightsaber combat Force powers). Also, it's an open question if Spartan reflexes (especially if it's John + Cortana) can outmatch Jedi pre-cognition or vice-versa. I mean, Grievous could beat Jedi with relative ease (except a hand full of specialized masters, a thing Anakin isn't). And then there’s Spartan military training and experience vs Jedi combat training and experience, Anakin’s arrogance, and John-117’s luck to take into account.
Anakin probably would eventually win a 1 vs 1 (I stopped writing before the actual fight for a reason), but I think it would be close, and easily swayed the other way if John has backup from Blue Team.
Edit to add another factor: The actions of the UNSC in general and the Sgt. Forge vs the Arbiter fight from Halo Wars also shows that humans from the Halo universe have the “methodically and at any cost” mentality necessary to win (or at least give a hell of a fight) vs opponents that severely outclass them.
Edit part 2: the Force acts a quite literal Deus ex machina in Star Wars so John could win the Fight (or at least survive it) if the Force is with him... Honestly, the more you think about this matchup the more up-in-the-air it is.
@@345635356 That's the thing though, Order 66 wasn't baseless. A group of Jedi Knights marched into the Chancellors Chamber unannounced, and attempted to place him under military arrest with not credible evidence. The only evidence they had was Anakin's conversation with Palpatine, which was hearsay and unrecorded, not to mention suspicious since he was a member of the Jedi Council, and could reasonably be a member of a conspiracy to gain power.
@@addisonwelsh sure, but at the level of a soldier like Chief, what you see is the chancellor ordering the extermination of a pretty loyal order for no real reason, using clones like droids to do so. It's not good optics.
@@345635356 Except, again, the optics are in Palpatines favor. Four high ranking members of the Jedi Council march into Chancellors office and attempt to remove him based on one piece of incredibly flimsy evidence? That doesn't make the Jedi look good.
What's more, Order 66 didn't come out of nowhere. It was part of 150 special contingency orders created for emergency situations. These also included Order 4, which specified who would take control of the GAR if the Chancellor was incapacitated. Order 37, which allowed the mass arrest of civilians to detain a single individual. Order 65 is the most interesting, as it allowed the Senate to remove the Chancellor from office.
There is also another thing you aren't considering: Palpatine would have had contingencies in place to deal with Chief.

Playing Republic Commando actually made me better at Halo. When I was a kid, I wasn't allowed to play Halo unless it's with my dad or on special occasions, so I'd play Republic Commando. Before Republic Commando, my dad would wipe the floor with me. When I beat Republic Commando, I became so good against him that he was convinced I was cheating and didn't want to play with me anymore.

For the first time in his career, as he let go of the lifeless body in his grasp and focused onto the second reptile, as he heard the loading of the approaching groups' guns behind him, Delta Boss had to reluctantly admit it. At this moment, while the seconds passed by like his heartbeats, while his hands danced their dance and outpaced the lizard's techniques of looking to stab him, he found himself in something of a... Oh, blast, what was the phrase again?! The adrenaline of this moment was distracting him. This ghost of a ship was pressing in on him physically, spiritually and mentally!
As Boss deftly cracked the attacking Trandoshan's fingers, as he heard its pained snarl silenced into a surprised gurgle by him reversing its freed knives into its vulnerable neck, as he leapt over the dying beast and used it as a meat shield just in time, how had Scorch always said it? If he were here to see his leader laid flat, using the body of a weakening reptile as the only available cover in the room as the oncoming rest of the reptiles opened fire with a crazed fervor, what would that bomb happy commando say? Especially as Boss began looking to arm himself with what few grenades he had left?
Whenever they were in a situation like this, whenever they were pinned down, whenever they had barely any cover with battle happening all around them... what had Scorch joked? What was the saying?
Ah. Yes. "Looks like we're caught between a rock and a hard place-
BOOM!
Or so that would have been the noise if the Delta Boss had been able to register it. If the actual explosion of sound and force hadn't happened almost literally on top of him, deafening his ears and jarring his HUD! If the nearest locked door hadn't been blasted forward from its frames, fuming with sparks as well as smoke, soaring with a screeching sound through the air - just barely over the prone commando behind his ragged cover - and collapsing against the opposite wall!
After all of the excitement, everything seemed to stop. Only a moment ago, there had been the sounds of gunfire, roars, gasping. There had only been the struggle of a lone Republic Clone Commando attempting to survive an ambush from a dozen Trandoshan raiders, taking down three and looking to arm his explosives... to take down as many more as he could before being lost like however many others in this floating phantom of a ship.
Now, there was only silence. Stillness.
Then, a new sound. A sound that repeated itself throughout the tense and confused scene. As the Clone Leader readjusted his senses along with HUD, as the space lizards regained themselves and bettered their grips on their guns, it sounded like a mix of something. Footsteps? Heavy footsteps? And then... What was that humming?
Wait... humming? Like before? Like with that Trandoshan Commander and his-
As he looked away from the hallway where the ambush party was positioned and towards the newly blown open doorway, Delta Commander's heart fell. Through the smoke and blinking lights of the ripped open door, there was a massive figure stepping forward. Its weighted footsteps "clanked" upon the metal flooring of the ship's hall, sound out like the bells of doomsday. Sounding out like before when he'd faced a leader of the space lizards. The new arrival carried something enormous in its hands, holding it steady as it emitted the sinister as well as familiar "hum"; undoubtedly winding itself up to spray bullets like before, filling the world with hundreds of rounds of projectiles that tore apart the clone backup earlier.
Delta Boss instinctively reached for the few grenades he had left. His time was up. Delta... they were on their own. He had the utmost faith that Fixer and Sev would find out where Scorch had been taken. But if there was the option of being captured, Boss was not the right Commando for that. Not if he had anything to say about it. And if Scorch had known his enemy would jump him, he too would have armed his grenades and tried to take as many of them as he could with him-
But then, just barely putting a screeching halt on his instincts, his fingers twitching over his last act, Boss hesitated. He had just noticed something with his trained eyes.
Now fully in the hallway, with the large gatling gun whirring harder than ever, this newly arrived Trandoshan Commander surprisingly - impossibly - turned its focus away from the prone clone. Rather, its aim was directed towards the readying ambush party down the hallway. And rather, again, where the lizard leader's eyes had been red earlier... this one had a copper gaze. Rather, one more time, this wasn't a copper gaze. It was a copper visor.
No, this wasn't surprising. Nor was it impossible. Because this wasn't... a Trandoshan Commander, after all. It was someone with the right luck and timing.
The smoke was clearing. The sparks died down as the lights blinked randomly. As Delta Boss chuckled to himself and the Trandoshans snarled in alarm, Master Chief set his feet, bettered his grip and aimed the Trandoshan gatling gun as its whirring rang out loudest. Loudest before the event that everyone knew - everyone being friend and foe alike - was to come.
"Boys." Sierra 117 simply stated, his growl of a voice ringing out over the whirring. The gatling gun opened fire a split heartbeat after, lighting up the hallway and drowning out whatever angry, disbelieving, confused, fearful replies in turn.

@@NotNormal654Jorge was a Spartan II assigned to Spartan III "Noble team", all of whom with the exception of Jun, their sniper, was listed MIA after the battle of Reach in the year 2552. In essence, Jorge was the Halo equivalent of Hevy, as instead of being captured, he opted to blow himself and the rest of the ship he and the Covenant baddies were standing on to kingdom come with an improvised bomb made out of a Slip Space drive, essentially the Halo universe's Hyperdrive. He was also known for carrying around a large minigun as his preferred weapon, as opposed to a sniper rifle, battle rifle, assault rifle, pistol, etc.

Sent on a mission to liberate a Wookie chieftain, Delta squad and myself engage the Trandoshan slavers in their own base of operations. At first, the element of surprise aided our operation. At 22:30 planetary, we were quickly overrun by their numbers. They sent reinforcements from every slime-filled corner in their base. What we didn't count on was a supersoldier two meters tall to come flying out of a blue portal guns blazing. Titanium armor, ballistic burst rifle and sidearm, energy shields. It was nothing my team and I have ever seen before and it was magnificent. He identified himself as Sierra-117, said the Forerunner system he used threw him off course and it would take some time for his AI to relocate the signal and jump back in, whatever all of that means. Then another wave of slavers burst into the courtyard, and Sierra and my team formed up and held the area. After the last Trandoshan fell, another blue portal appeared next to the supersoldier. He walked through, mentioning how he needed to save Earth as he left the planet. Portals, unknown planets, Forerunners, there's more to this universe than our galaxy and the clone wars.

What's interesting is that with some minor tweaks due to a different universe, the Spartan-IIs of Halo would make excellent Mandalorians. In their own way they basically already follow the six tenets in their own fashion. Wear the armor: Spartans rarely remove their MJOLNIR suits, especially in front of outsiders. Speak the language: it has been said that Spartan-IIs basically can communicate with one another in a language all their own, the hand signs that they developed with each other as children-cadets. Contribute to the clan's welfare: every Spartan seeks to protect each other and whenever one found something that benefited them, they'd share it with the others. Rally to the leader's cause: Anytime Spartans were asked for volunteers for an assignment, no matter how dangerous it was, *every one of them* stepped forward. Defend your family: every Spartan would die for any other one in a moment's notice if it meant saving the others. Raise their children to be one of them: though a stretch since Spartans didn't really have kids to raise, the older Spartans would take their younger cousins in the Spartan-IIIs in after discovering they existed and helped to try and make them the best Spartans they could be, even if they were from a different generation of soldier.
Agreed. Family and friendship is everything to mandalorians, they always protect one another. The Spartan IIs (not the IVs and maybe the IIIs) are basically a shining example of that.

I could see that happening. I think Chief would be physically superior to the commandos and have better gear but is just as capable mentally and strategically.
@@robstefani9853 I don't know... Without armor I'd agree with you, but when it comes to armor... I'd call it a tie for a 1v1. Their armor, at least in the books, was able to survive a halo drop from a burning ship, a IED (which the soldier threw himself on to protect others, taking at least 90% of the blast), most small arms fire, and the newer versions have been joked around about how they can 'survive an artillery round'.
Of course, that's the books, and in the books they don't have shield generators on them, but even if half the strength of the books were the level of armor in the games, they're still pretty powerful. Also in the halo universe, plasma tech weapons shred through shields, which is about half the commandos arsenal.
Would it be a walk in the park? Definitely not, but it wouldn't be a massacre on either side.
I actually think if Halo 5s team based strategy was put against Republic Commandos, it'd be easier for the commandos.

@@papafrank2894 Lucasfilm games was just announced, hopefully we'll get more Star Wars games, and just maybe, a sequel or at least a remaster for Republic Commando will be one of them.
Doubt it, but even if it did happen, with Disney in charge, the sequel I'd actually *want* to play (Imperial Commando, where you can kill Jedi and Rebels) will most certainly never happen.

Somewhere out there in the Multi-verse exists a reality, where Chiefs DNA (post-Augmentation) was used to create the Clone Army.

unfortunately much of the augmentations are not DNA related, however an entire clone army in Mjolnir armor would be nigh unstoppable, so much so that I doubt Palpatine would have allowed it, as the whole point of the Clone Wars were to stir up unrest then blame it on the Jedi so people won't ask questions when he has them exterminated

@@addisonwelsh Nope, that has NEVER occured either in canon or legends. Thing is Chief is from a universe where the force DOESN'T EXIST. He would be immune to things like telekinesis and lightning, doesn't mean you can't chuck a boulder at him though :P
@@mrbuttocks6772 Uh... that's not how it works. Unless you've been specifically severed from the Force, it can still effect you. And even if you have been severed, you can still get hit with lightning.
Oh, and during the Second Galactic Civil War, members of Luke's Jedi order were described ripping entire companies apart with minor gestures, like a flick of the wrist or a twitching finger, and they were nowhere near Palpatine's level. So yes, he could indeed break Chief's neck that easily.
Halo is tougher than most people give it credit for, but once space magic comes into play, they die real quickly.
If a universe crossover actually happened it'd be quite interesting how the factions would work with one another, and who's universe it'd be in, and whether the great schism has occurred for the Elites to side with UNSC, and which StarWars era it'd be set in.
Imagine Palpatine exploiting the Covenant's religious extremism regarding "The Great Journey" and molding the entire Covenant to worship Sith.
Palpatine discovering what a Halo Ring is and how many there are.
Halsey getting a-hold of some Force sensitive young-lings and putting them in the Spartan Program.
Kaminoans getting a-hold of Halsey's research and using Spartan augmentation on clones.
Mace Windu rolling up on Palpatine with Blue Team and Chief.
The UNSC seizing control of a droid factory and pump out their own droids.
Cortana pulling an R2D2 and learning every secret there is to hide in the StarWars universe.
Realistically though... The UNSC would have a difficult time fighting off a droid army. Spartans would also have a tough time with force users.
longest time I actually wanted to make a "Spartans vs Troopers" table top game.
spartans have the reaction time to go toe to toe with the average Jedi, but will struggle as soon as said Jedi would start using Force Push and other more complex abilities outside of using the force to speed up your reaction time
UNSC firepower would definitely struggle against nonbiological foes, especially the more well armored droids like the Supers, brute-forcing the engagement with explosives would probably be resorted to
E135 The biggest problem Halo has when going up against Star Wars and Warhammer are it’s relatively small scale, and a lack of space magic.
Spartans are the second toughest super soldiers I’ve ever seen, but once they have to fight an enemy that isn’t using conventional military power, they’re in trouble.
@@addisonwelsh even in universe, they are not the toughest fighters, the only reason they continue to succeed is how cunning many of em are, but brutes and elites, without any augmentations mind you, can give a spartan a run for his or her money in many ways, with brutes being flat out stronger
yea, any unconventional forms of attack really shut down much of Halo, even in universe stuff like planet wide EMP's and Neural Physics just absolutely devastate em
@@e1357 I said that they were the second toughest super soldiers I know of due to the fact that they've been so heavily modified. That's what a super soldier is: they're all modified in some way to be better than a natural soldier.
Even Warhammer's famous Space Marines aren't the best of the best in their universe.
Imagine a game set in an alternate universe where instead of floating to Recrium, the Dawn drifted to the Star Wars galaxy, and Chief and Cortana got picked up Republic forces.

Imagine in a setting where the covenant find a portal built by the forerunners to the Star Wars galaxy, and they invade the Star Wars galaxy thinking there is forerunner tech. They wage war against the republic, and master chief joins forces with the republic commandos. That would be badass.

Vode An
Vode An, meaning "Brothers All", was an ancient Mandalorian war chant sung in Mando'a. Notably, before the start of the Clone Wars, Jango Fett would personally train the first batch of Alpha class ARC troopers for the Republic on Kamino. Fett instilled these clones with Mandalorian values, including having each clone memorize the Vode An. Other clones, including Clone Commandos, were taught the Vode An by their various Mandalorian trainers. This group of Mandalorians were brought to Kamino on Jango Fett's request to train many of the more advanced clones, they were known as the Cuy'val Dar (Those who No Longer Exist). The song refers to them(The Mandalorians or The Clones) as the “Wrath of Coruscant” which has a dual meaning since they were being used by the Republic and Coruscant was the original home world of the Mandalorians. The chant was famously sung by the clone troopers with the accompaniment of drums and horns.

I’d honestly love an alternative universe ware earth is discovered in the outer rims and is collaborated with the clones during the war, the clash of tech, getting used to all the new races,adapting,the discovery of ware humans originated from, Spartans, covenant trying to fight along side or against a faction.
How the UNSC would react to the clones slaughtering the Jedi, the inevitable downfall of the alliance after the empire and how they would fight against each other

Honestly I think it would be fucking dope to have a order 66 scene where as the jedi are being killed by the clones, the Spartans would either stand by and do nothing, participate in the killings since they don't know the whole truth, or start fighting their own men and killing them so they don't just kill innocent people for no reason. Idk, but it feels like it would throw one big wrench into order 66 that would be a interesting change for the emporer to work around

Robin Selz kararn is the commando armor? If so, actually they both have strong points. The commando armor has bacta within it to heal a soldier. For Spartans, they have shields

Spartan armor does have some medical capabilities for the users, might not be as good as bacta but taking on count you have to find bacta in the first place the mjolnir armor has an advantage on that area.
@@deltadude7417 Presumably Katarn is actually stronger material-wise, but Mjollnir is about 600lbs heavier (thicker plates) so unshielded protection probably goes to Mjollnr, and then they have shields too. they have biofoam dispensers, but it doesn't compare to Bacta (though one could easily convert the dispensers to Bacta)
Mjollnr is super-soldier armor. Katarn is just Special forces kit, akin to ODST armor in purpose (though obviously superior due to tech)
Revan actually commandos were rare. There are other levels about equal to ODST in the republic.
Also just because MJOLNIR has more armor doesn’t mean that it is stronger. You could have a ton of cardboard but that doesn’t make it stronger that metal
