My Xbox controller buttons were stuck and I couldn't use it for my PC anymore. Had a bunch of old PS3 controllers lying around and had decided to look up a video tutorial on how to get it to run on the PC. Came across this video and it served to be pretty helpful. Thanks!

After doing all of this the monitor shows all pads as disconnected. I should mention that nothing comes up in Devices and Printers.

I had the problem too, but when I clicked "Force install" with the Scp Driver, it worked for me.

I found the same guide on 3 forums 2 of them on steam but even after following each to the latter nothing would work. Then I watch your video and notice you have 1 or 2 steps more than those guides and BAM works like a charm.

works fine when i do that but when i restart my pc and i put my ps3 contr via usb i open the scp monitor and says disconect in all pads.what i can do?
I have this problem as well. I've been trying to solve it for quite some time. People have mentioned going into Services and enabling delayed start on SCP Ds3 Service. It works for a sleep power cycle but if you restart it still loses your saved settings. Any other help on this would be much appreciated. Also, github.com/nefarius/ScpToolkit/issues/51 might help a bit.
i LOVE you. like holy shit. my controller was flashing all 4 lights for the longest time after being unplugged and was having syncing issues. i kept making my issue worse and worse by desperately uninstalling and reinstalling a bunch of different drivers tryingto get it to work but here we are! the ONE thing that worked. thank you so much, you're a legend

This has to be the best tutorial I've watched through out the years, so good job I guess.
I need help with something. So I play a lot of Rocket League and I use a controller to play, and I used to use Better DS3 to connect my controller to my pc. And Better DS3 usually worked fine, sometimes it wouldn't detect my controller, but nothing that restarting the computer couldn't fix. But recently my computer updated and it must have really messed with some driver or something, because now my Better DS3 tool wont work, even if I restart it. I tried going into Advanced Startup to disable driver enforcement, it still didn't work. I tried installing MotionInJoy instead, and that didn't work. I tried using a different controller, and that didn't work. And now I tried this method, and that didn't work either. I need help, I can't play Rocket League without my controller.

You may have fixed this already, but just in case someone else had the same problem like I did, I just ran the SCPDriver application and clicked "Uninstall" and then reinstalled the drivers. If SCPMonitor is running, it should say something along the lines of "Pad connected" or something

This worked for me but when i turned off my pc and came back to it the next day, it didn't work
this was such an enjoyable tutorial i didnt even feel the need to play it in 1.25x to skip any bs. clear, concise and very well put together thank you so much!
If it doesn't recocnise your conntroler even after the restart just run the SCP.Server.exe and it will work.

Could this work on a fake PS3 controller?
SO, first of all, thank you so much for making this video! I use Windows 10 and I ran through this download 3 times because the Monitor was not detecting or recognizing my controller at all, even after restarting. But, I FINALLY got it to work! For those of you having a similar issue, one of these might be the solution! My first mistake was, I accidentally moved the "Scarlet.Crush Productions" folder under "Windows C" instead of under "Windows C - Program Files" but after correcting that, it still wasn't recognizing. I then on a whim clicked "ScpServer" (NOT "ScpService") and checked the first box then BOOM! it installed my controller and was then discover-able within the monitor and is now fully functional!
it works for me at the beginning, but after few weeks, my xbox controller disappear from my computer driver, uninstall and install also the same, can't found the console logo ,help pls

Ok so I accidentally used my bluetooth in my laptop to only connect with the ps3 controller just like you did and now my bluetooth icon is gone so how do I undo this? Please help

Worked perfectly! But just in case for those of you wondering how to use the PS3 controller again after disconnecting the USB, you have to uninstall and install the SCP Driver again (4:50).
I dont get it it works for everyone but not for me :/
If this is still a Thing for you, just make sure that the Controller is plugged into a USB 2.0 Port.
It isn´t compatible with USB 3.0 (The Blue ones)

Did all of you press the PS button?, It must flash just one led (Player 1) on the controller. From that already done, it must work.

Copy both folders, Source and Bin to /ProgramFiles/Scarlet.Crus Production. And also, do like he said at 3:30. Worked for me after that.

Sadly no, but, it might have had something to do with an old windows version. I just got an xbox one controller instead.

This is the only method that worked for me; I had set the PS3 controllers drivers but I never actually installed Xbox 369 controller drivers. Thank you.

I got WIN10 home x64, to those whos PS3 doesn`t work I`d like to recomend DO NOT do that mistake I`ve done: I forgot to plug the PS3 controler , followed the instruction and when i connect the controller it did not wanted to work. Silly me, so i connected, the run again the ScpDriver exe again, then reboot, and then miracle, ITS WORKING :) :)

If Bluetooth doesn't work after these steps, open the ScpServer and select the pad you want as Bluetooth, and look for the "pair" option. Good video.

Perfect tutorial, been trying to play Ocarina of Time with a generic Logitech controller and couldn't maneuver like you could on an N64. Installed all this and works fantastic!

I just got the Windows 10 Creators Update, and my PS3 controller was working just fine like before, but then it must have done something, updated automatically, I don't know, all of the sudden it said that the device was not recognized and it stopped working.
Did a Google search, pulled up this video. All of the necessary files, the Netframwork, C++, Direct X were already installed (double checked, but already knew they were). Followed the rest of the instructions, and now it is working again.

The update folders that contain everything, is that ready to go? Do I still need to move the folders as you did in 3:00? As im not seeing any of that stuff
