    The one thing I like about my Jeep is I never have to wash it because the clearcoat and paint look like crap. The one thing I hate about my Jeep is the clearcoat and paint look like crap. Maybe someday it'll be worthy of this ceramic stuff. Not easy finding a place to paint it for an affordable price here in Hawaii.

    Even on new vehicles, would definitely recommend using a clay bar, especially on hood, roof, trunk lid (if a sedan). Been in new car biz many years and felt bonded contaminates on them. Sometimes they sit on lot for months and/or rail dust from transport, etc.

    One thing I love about my car, its an older Lexus but has had almost zero issues in 5 years I've owned it. Only had a door actuator fail and a plastic window switch. I saw your video on water spots on glass. I got the glass taken care of, but I need to remove the water spots now that are on the clear coat. My plan is to hit it with a clay bar then just use a buffer and some mild rubbing compound then finish up with polishing compound. Then protect it with some ceramic coating after I'm done so it won't happen again. Any other recommendations for removing water spots on clear coat?

    If you have a minor accident and need to get a panel painted. How do you remove the ceramic coating to get the paint to stick ?
    Is the Ceramic Coating material a PTFE (Teflon) compound or similar ?

    • @SweetProjectCars
      @SweetProjectCars  6 лет назад +2

      Geo R if you get into an accident and need body work they will either replace the panel or fix it, via sanding the entire panel then primer it and then paint match the entire panel ..then you will ceramic coat the entire panel after the new paint has cured approximately 30 days so that it can evaporate or outgas.

    Thanks for another very informative video. Really appreciate all the insight and details that you provide. I have a question though, well more of a concern surrounding ceramic coating. What happens after say 10 years when the coating degrades? How much work, which translates into $$$ if hiring someone to do the work, will it be to reapply the coating? I'm assuming that the old coating needs to be removed and since this bonds with clear coat (or so I've read) that its gonna be a very costly thing. Any additional insight is greatly appreciated. I've got a 3 week old Subaru and am seriously considering ceramic coating but have that one concern. Thanks!

    sweet project cars, I need your help with my headlights. They are not working, the driver side headlight was was working but all of suddenly it doesn't work after I was trying to fix the passenger side headlight. Now both headlights are not working. I checked the fuses and they are good. It's 2012 ford fusion. Left side headlight was working but now it doesn't work after I was replacing the light bulbs on the right side headlight. Need help

    • @SweetProjectCars
      @SweetProjectCars  6 лет назад +1

      Thow Guandong it may be rare but the bulb may have just decided to burn out at almost the same exact time..we have seen it happen... I would make sure you have checked every possible fuse and I would also check the Relays in the fuse boxes as well....now I know there are many very smart Sub's here that may chime in to help you out with this, as it has me baffled unless I was there with you to look at it. but again it could be the bulb just decide to burn out as well not sure.. I would put new bulbs in both headlights and then go from there.

    • @hendra_lie1
      @hendra_lie1 6 лет назад +1

      I would suggest you first check the relevant fuse and relay. If both are fine, then check the bulbs themselves.

      CirclePFarm if you have an area that you do not want the coating on you will need to mask those areas off..like with decals we go right over them..and as far as rubber and trim we are just very careful when we apply :) we have found the Pros way outweigh the Cons with this product.

It did that several years ago and I went thru the regular drill of cleaning including removing the intake in order to clean carbon off the 2 clogged ports. I have seen one fix (roto rootering it out with an old speedometer cable in a drill) you have any fixes? I really don't want to remove intake if can avoid it. THANKS.

It was a cloudy day so stayed under cover just in case it rained but the lighting was gray (and the vehicle is silver) so noticed today while its curing in the sun that I missed a few spots with the initial buff. Not able to remove it with the microfibre or polishing cloths. How should I tackle this, not sure how much pressure to apply without causing damage. • @SweetProjectCars
      @SweetProjectCars  6 лет назад +2

      haniko 123 thank you for the question...WAX and Ceramic coating are in no way similar..Ceramic Coating verses Traditional Wax. Ceramic coating lasts a lot longer than any wax, it is more scratch and mar resistant which means the finish of the paint will stay like the day it was coated. It has superior UV protection so the paint will not oxidize after been exposed to large amounts of UV rays from the sun. hope this helps

    Love your channel. You have a lot of great tips and how to videos. Have you done a video specifically working on a black car and buffing out lite scratches in the paint ? Will the ceramic coating stop the micro scratches that happen especially to black paint, the kind that when when someone leans against the paint when it is a little dusty ?

    • @SweetProjectCars
      @SweetProjectCars  6 лет назад +1

      Bill Y my friend this what I did to it before ceramic coating it ruclips.net/video/TsqvlmFrYY0/видео.html minus the waxing ..this is what I do to it now and now I wax it now when I need something relaxing to do ruclips.net/video/S7uT9-HI60s/видео.html, and yes the high quality ceramic coating resists scratches like mad, I ceramic coated it 5 years ago.

    You know a fresh coat of wax will do the same thing. Yes u will have to apply wax every 3-6 months but if you love ur baby, you will not mind doing it.

    • @SweetProjectCars
      @SweetProjectCars  6 лет назад +2

      We have found the ceramic coating far out exceeds any type of wax out there there’s no comparison between the two that’s why people do it you can wax the ceramic coating if you feel you’d like to wax your car it will just make it shine even more
