    Here's my advice as somebody who has been doing this for many years when it comes to storage of your metals: invest in security! Buy a top quality safe! If you are able to afford it invest in a security system as well. Most smaller safes cost around $500 to $1000, ideally you want one that you can bolt into the floor but not everyone lives in a place where they can do that. If you can't bolt it into the floor hide it as well as you can and fill it with heavy metals (lead, iron, whatever) so it will be harder for the thief/thieves to move. This goes for a lot of things in life not just storing metals...make it as difficult for the criminals as possible.

    For those who are on a tight budget, 90% Constitutional silver is a good option. I was one of those people who bought to fast, and had to sell. I'm on a budget now, but when I had to sell, I found out that the most demand was for gold and rolls of Constitutional silver in my LCS. Silver eagles sell, but it's better if they're graded. And silver bars can be a challenge.

    • @CampbellsCoins
      @CampbellsCoins  3 года назад +3

      We all make the mistakes at some point. It's good you learned early on and changed it. I'm not sure about graded eagles. When I ask people to trade, EVERY ONE of them tried to pawn off their graded eagles to me. I wanted only raw Morgans and or Eagles and they wouldn't budge. I think graded bullion is a scam but that's my opinion.

    Happens easy enough. The first few years I had no problem as I was buying very low quantities no sure of what to do. But as I came up with a plan, I suddenly found I was buying more and more and soon found I was pushing my buying limit. Even exceeded it a couple months. But I didn't panic, I just backed off, got back in control and am in good shape now. Now I have a monthly budget for building weight with silver and still saving enough to find a nice piece of gold now and then. My reality, I'm still a little guy but happy.

      I think we are all guilty of stack envy at some point, some stay in it and others move beyond and build their own vision. I suspect many get out of that envy mindset but I wish it was more prevalent. All people have to realize, is holding one ounce of silver is more precious metal than 99% of the world holds. Perspective is everything. Anyone who stacks precious metals is a winner in my eyes. Thank you my friend, I hope so too. I appreciate you 🙏👊

    I've been stacking silver for under a year, and I made some mistakes.
    Now, I stick to a budget of 20 oz per month.
    My fractional is 80% Canadian coins, and I can still find them cheaper than one ounce rounds, when converted to dollars per ounce.
    I've avoided gold because currently, fractional is too expensive in Canada, to the tune of $400 more for 1/10 ounce when compared to one ounce of gold.
    Silver is my sweet spot because I can stack more ounces affordibly.

    Hi there. Great advice! I just wanna put in my two cents and say I mainly buy from APMEX for a few reasons; They are the fastest to ship my orders, I've had nothing but superb experiences from their customer service and lastly & most importantly, they always have what I want in stock, whereas the cheaper online dealers seem to run out of stock almost every time I'm ready to buy. That's why I mainly buy from APMEX, despite the fact they are more expensive than other online bullion dealers. I also wanna say that I would have access to a coin shop to sell some of my stack in the event of an emergency, but not on a regular basis and that's why I buy online. I take all this into account when look for my next gold or silver purchase. Thanks for the advice in this video. Good job! 👍

I’m wondering if you have done or seen anyone else do a video rating RELIABILITY of these companies that sell these items… I’m ready to jump into this market but have been looking at reviews, and some consumers have been writing about some very unflattering circumstance's that have happened AFTER THE PURCHASE and the responses that were less than satisfactory from the companies of purchase. I’m thinking your response would be to just buy from the ( Government direct ) site ideally wish the was an annual rating of the top ten sellers… that may give sellers an incentive to improve there reputation for potential customers

It may be a bit more expensive but it gives you a chance to easily purchase it a little at a time and if im correct, its easier to sell if needed. The trick is to shop around, shop all the different Bullion dealers and shop ebay but make sure the seller is reputable.

      Hi Betty! I don't think a gold confiscation will happen in the true sense; troops literally ripping gold from people's hands. Mostly because too of few people own gold and it's difficult to track down. What I think is more likely, is an insanely high tax on buying and selling it. Which can be implemented as a prohibition and confiscation in it's own sense. I see what's going on in Australia and it's crazy. Be well and safe. Thanks for watching.

    • @CampbellsCoins

      In my opinion, Gairsoppa silver is all hype and not worth the premium. Yeah it's cool the silver was recovered and melted back into modern bullion but they could be minting bullion for 50 more years and say it's from that shipwreck and no one would know the difference. I would stay away. Thanks for asking

    With the prices surging and the announcements of the CBDCs in mind would you hold off or get as much as you can whenever you can? I’m looking all over for both silver of course and at least a quarter oz coin. The prices will fluctuate of course as always but with this inflation going through the roof I feel like we’re on borrowed time so I’m feeling like going ALL in on a order before it’s too late. What do you think? Also, great information as always my friend.

      @@CampbellsCoins - Indeed, I stand corrected, my apologies.
      I always deal in grams and never bothered with oz.
      Would be nice if they would use "oz t" when marking gold.
      I only deal with Perth Mint and they just mark minted bars with "oz" hence me always using 28.35g as the conversion haha.
      Good thing I have only bought in grams. No conversion error there.

    Under the worst conditions a doomsday stacker has more bargain trade power with fractional gold. You may not can get change. I usually buy 1 0z silver rounds and eagles because they are cheap in comparison. That po box is a good tip. I do not know why people show a lot of metals online the gov has the power to take it. put coins guns etc in pvc pipe in the ground seems safe

    Would you say that rule 3 applies to platinum as well or would it be similar to gold and be better off buying a 5 gram bar than say 1/10 oz Britannia

    • @CampbellsCoins
      @CampbellsCoins  3 года назад +1

      Great question because it's a tough one. If you can afford 1oz Platinum, go for the 1oz. I think it's incredibly undervalued right now and like silver it's one of those buy it and hold it for long term situations. If you were worried about the price dropping a lot or were going to sell it off as soon as it reaches a certain price target in your eyes, fractional platinum might be best. A warning though, as you might have seen, the premium on platinum is incredibly high for fractional pieces.

    Good video, I just have a rant on a point you made: Whatever you think the "true price" of PMs are, you'll always be paid the paper/spot price, which is why PRICE ALWAYS MATTERS. Especially for an asset whose value is solely determined by the ability to sell at a higher price than you bought. Price matters when you buy, price matters when you sell, price matters PERIOD. Anyone who doesn't see this has been blinded by shady dealers who use this "oh it's manipulated" as a tactic to keep gullible people buying their stuff at prices that are sure to bring financial ruin. Manipulation is just another shady tactic to get people to think it's worth way more than what it is actually worth... so what? That is the market so deal with it, don't sit there and complain, actively manage your assets at the realistic prices that they are likely to remain at.

  • @robertlaw4073

    Interesting video. I wonder what it is that you think gives gold a fundamental value? The other day I was at a goodwill store and a guy was buying a cart full of old desktop computers. I asked him what he does with them, and he said he gets the gold out of them and makes his own bars. My guess is that (1) he is investing a lot of money, not in the junk computers, but in the chemicals and/or heat and equipment he needs to use to re-process the gold. Let just imagine that all he has to do is torch the boards patiently, then carefully pour out his gold into a mold, and finally clean up his stuff from impurities (carbon, etc.) before the next run. That takes time. From one perspective, "fundamental value" of that gold is his time. Now the financial value is what he gets if he were to sell those bars on a market - if he takes a few trips to the NYC jewelry districts a couple times a year, maybe he even has people who will assay his bars and then, on the PERSONAL reputation of the assayer, they become marketable to, say, a NYC jewler who is making custom designer pieces they want graded at a certain carat purity. OK, so having established that product pipeline, which is "fundamental value"... his time it takes for him to make an ounce or the number of dollars he gets selling an ounce at "metal value" in the jewelry trade (something not so easy to negotiate for an unknown goy). The fact is I think you mean something entirely different from either of those, and that I believe is the idea that gold is a value store... that it will go up in demand as faith in fiat currency declines. A reasonable prognostication, but only to a point. You cannot eat a gold coin. You cannot throw gold coins into a mob of people out to take away your food stores - sure they will take the gold, then just go on to take away your food. At the end of the day, that is my one possible critique of your point about fractional gold/silver. Yes, there is something scammy feeling about a commodity being market up so much. But in the zombie-apocalypses, if it takes roughly $100 worth of "value" to feed a family for a week, aren't you better off having 1/25 oz. gold coins on hand and ready to go than, say a 1 kilo bar?! Conversely, though, if you might need to flee a place quickly, is it not easier to account for and transport a single bar than 25000 coins! But for some people, that is why gold becomes important - if you've got the dual citizenship to say Israel, well, a 1oz gold coin going through a metal detector doesn't necessarily get noticed. Or maybe you ship "fresh fish" out of the country and inside that fish's gut are 10x 1oz bars. So it cuts both ways, and depends on goals, not in terms of holding a certain percentage of portfolio exposure, but in terms of "will you stay and barter for bullets with your gold" or do you have something else in mind. What is your prognosis for these bankrupt nations whose workers are now lying flat? Is it anarchy ensuing from the evaporation of purchasing power of entitlement payments? Will the gray-beard-boomers simply elect a complete kook when their social security checks are no longer are worth a cup of coffee at MacDonalds?

    #4 always amuses me as I see these guys unbocking $10-20k in gold and casually discussing how this is their delivery "for this month." I'd love to know how much they earn that they can afford to bank $120-240k a year in gold and what their long term goal is in having that much gold.
    I also want to know how realistic their home security set up is that they feel confident letting the world know that the only thing between a dishonest person and tens, if not hundreds of thousands of dollars in gold is a door, window and their willingness to hold a gun to the head of that stacker, which goes to #1.

    Don't forget the tax implications (IF)...you purchase over 10 grand or more in a 24 hour period of time. Despite higher premiums, the US Govnt. Mint has no tax liabilities. When selling the US Govnt. Mint coins, the same is true. Buy or sell Canadian Maples...do not buy or sell 10k or more in a 24 hour period due to tax liability (capital gains tax). That is if the IRS still exists when silver hits a spot price of $300.00 to $1000.00 per Oz.. If anyone out there has more detailed tax liability data on the purchase and reselling of precious metals, please post it for us as I'm going on memory. Thanks.
