Alex - Thank you so much for inviting me to share some cards and thoughts about my favorite set. I am especially pleased to see this outstanding production, and wonderful editing! Oh, and I love seeing those Goudey autos. Blown away! This video is a collectors item itself!
I’m always amazed with your eye for cards and your ability to express why a card is meaningful. That Richards card is at least the third card I’ve acquired for my PC because you’ve discussed it on your channel.
Beautiful cards indeed. Chuck is right in that every collector should add a few to their collection. Marty’s signed set is on another level of collecting. Just amazing and the Luque was a really nice one to highlight. Superb video, Alex
I definitely love the 33 Goudey cards, definitely one of the most legendary card sets to collect out there hands down! Some of the most legendary names in all of baseball in 1 set! I just can't believe in 2033 it will be 100 years old, crazy! Thanks for sharing!
What a tremendous video. Thank you so very much for this tribute to 1933 Goudey. Our youngest (now 17) is a committed collector of this set and, together, we are slowly building it for him. It’s a thrill.
Great job mixing in the other voices. I've loved Goudeys since the 1980s but the attention you guys paid to the quality of the images has me taking a better look at some of the individual cards. Well done.
Another superb video. I have wanted for the last couple of years now the Mel Ott #127. There is something about the scowl on his face and the green background. It reminds me, and I am not really sure if it is true or not, about the photographer that got Winston Churchill to scowl because he snatched his cigar from him at the last second. I also love the back of it which details Ott’s heroics in the last game of the 1933 World Series. This must make the Ott card one of the cards in the last series, since Ott hit the game/series winning home run on October 7th of that year. But then I saw the Pete Jablonowski card. WOW. I don’t know what it is about the face shots on a solid color background, but I find them incredible works of art. Thanks again!
Love the 33 Goudey's. Totally agree with Chuck, buy a few cards or team set of Goudey's for your collection. I have a Dodger team set and an Eddie Collins card. I love having them in my collection. Thanks for sharing, Alex.
Great video Alex! You picked two great co-stars. I only have one extremely beat up Phillies Fred Brickle card from this set but would definitely love to add more. Your two pickups so far were great picks
Great video. About 35 years ago I had the complete set minus 106 with close to 25% autographed. The only thing I would add is owning some raw cards. The feel and smell of a raw card is hard to beat. I do have complete T205 and Diamond Stars sets. Pre-War cards are just great.
I really enjoyed this, though I probably would've enjoyed it even more on a Saturday morning -- I should've saved it to watch later! I actually don't own a '33 Goudey yet; I have one '34. I'll likely be picking up my first '33s during the second half of the year -- can't wait. Thanks for the great video, Alex.
Very nice breakdown by both you and your guests. I have my eye on the Ted Lyons & Jesse Haines RCs for my knuckleball collection, and Ed Brandt for my Washington State natives PC. Maybe at the National, I hope.
Great video! I love the look of1933 Goudey cards and have always wanted to collect the Yankees set, sans Ruth & Gehrig as they would be way too pricey. However, any of the Yankee cards from this set is probably out of my price range so I'll just enjoy other collections
Well done Alex. I'm in agreement with you on maybe not collecting the whole set, but cherry picking the ones that stand out to you. I could see myself doing that with this and several other sets over time. I'm curious to see which one's you'll pick up in the future. Have a great weekend!
Great video. Those are beautiful cards. Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!

Thanks again Chuck, couldn't have done it without you. Your enthusiasm is infectious!
What a wonderful video and collaboration with Chuck and Marty. I absolutely love these cards.
Thanks man

I will try to keep it up Dan, at your bank accounts expense haha

Wonderful to hear! Have you two considered making a RUclips channel?
Wonderful video and amazing cards. Thanks, Alex! As well as Chuck and Marty! Appreciate the history and knowledge! Really enjoyed the video.
Thanks buddy!
A great, great primer for the Goudey set from two killer collectors! Thanks Chuck and Marty and Alex!
Thank you!
Wonderful video and cup of coffee Alex, Chuck, and Marty!
Thanks so much Ed!

Hope you enjoy revisiting! Thanks for checking out the video

Alex! This is so good. Great collaboration. This one I will watch back from time to time. Great stuff, my friend.
If a video can be rewatched I'm definitely happy - thanks man!
my favorite set, for sure (not to worry... 53 bowman definitely in my top 5!)
Haha good to know!
Great episode Alex. Nice touch by including Chuck and Marty.
Thanks buddy

Sorry for the coffee time mismatch haha glad you enjoyed it

Awesome!
Great video Alex! Very well done my friend. Those cards are almost as nice as the 52 Topps Spahn and the 61 Bowman Whitey Ford. 😜
Thanks Jason
Love how you put this one together Alex well done. Now I'm off to look for a paul Richard's 😅
Happy hunting!

There are plenty of great looking cards in this set, and commons have plenty of interesting stories to uncover. Happy hunting!

I appreciate you’re a renaissance man and went with a love letter. Much classier than a $&€£ pic … 😂. Great video.
I try haha thanks
Well done!
Thanks Alan!
that Dolf Luque signed goudey is cool
Agreed
Great video Alex
Thank you!
Nice
