I actually loved that final line. The witness truly and deeply believed in the final shape. It was inconceivable that we would want anything less than the perfection it offered. To the witness we were children who didn’t know better and once the final shape was made we would understand. That line as they lost. Was raw. They simply don’t get it. Why did we resist? Why were we able to persevere when life should by all accounts be meaningless without the final shape? And why despite all their power could they do nothing to stop us? A group of 6 psychos boot them out of the traveler in a day and a half of fighting and then they get jjk jumped by everyone with a pulse and just die. After millennia. Like it never mattered.
@@SH1NK1R01 that's one of my questions, how the hell did the witness managed to connect to the traveler that fast? Didn't the traveler have some form of defense inside it? What it only fought back to stop the final shape by undoing what the witness was doing rather than physically fight back? And then, how did we manage to reach the witness so fast? Isn't the inside of the traveler as big as the earth? Like a shield world from halo. Tbh 6 days was so damn fast for the conclusion of a 10 year saga, but the final battle was worth it. The scare that we lost our ghost to then cayde give his light for it and the culmination of it all was on point

With the recent winnower and gardener dialogue the traveler has been revealed to actually be more of an avatar then an individual entity and is bound by strict rules that the gardener has sworn itself to. So it’s pretty in character for it to be easily invaded. Remember that for untold millennia the traveler chose to run away instead of fight despite having more then enough power to just kill the witness. It simply isn’t “allowed” to do something like that. And that seems to be based on the rules it has been bound to for the flower game.

For instance Cayde died years ago in game and in real life time. But not if you play the game starting today. Then he died some undetermined time in the past and the missions that reference it as being years ago will be right after a mission that says it happened yesterday. So unless explicitly told. We don’t really know that it only took 1 week to reach and kill the witness. It could have been shorter or longer.
For the Coalition, I believe the Final Shape is a City, a Sol, at peace. Where all live free and safe, no Vex, Taken, or violent Hive to spread chaos. No sleepless nights for those outside the City walls. A system, where humanity once again reclaims our lost worlds, where our allies make homes for themselves on colonies rebuilt. A new Golden Age.
The Witness' Final Shape seems like a twisted version of the Vex. Notice how the random, blocky shapes in the Pale Heart have similarities to Nessus and other Vex-infected areas, albeit far more "refined," yet simple.

They called it "Symmetry", I think and maybe when we get another darkness element, we'll get that Symmetry. Also, what are the chances we get a new Light element in the future? That would be so hype. That would sell a Destiny 3. If we get two new Darkness elements and a new Light element, I'd definitely lose my mind. I can't think of any other way to sell a Destiny 3 better than adding new subclasses/elements.

That is a really interesting thought that the guardian may be The Final Shape. Perhaps the idea that we have transcended the light and dark has culminated us into the apex of existence? I can see many reasons as to how our Guardian could be The Final Shape instead.
To me, I consider the final shape to be when the current Garden Game, the game played by the Gardener and the Winnower comes to a conclusion. For eons for them it was always the Winnower who won the game, yet now it may prove that the Gardener may end with this game being the winner.

We’re the most powerful beings, we’ve surpassed all other “Gods” and we’ve mastered the 2 most powerful forces in the universe to use them for good and good alone to establish perfect harmony and peace. But, knowing the concept of “the game” of the gardener and winnower, there is always new creation as time goes on, meaning there must always be winnowing. Only in a perfect world could there be a final shape, I believe it to be physically impossible to achieve one
