2) all white/all light neutrals
3) dress and leather
4) light bottom and shoes, dark top
5) patterned pants, graphic t, shoe of choice
Rule of thirds can also be matching top and shoes, or some other combination

I so agree with your boyfriend - every time I watch one of your videos I always think 'of course she doesn't need to balance out an outfit because she has dark hair to pair with black shoes.' I love it, I always feel weird with just a black shoe and nothing else maybe it's because I have blonde hair haha
The weather where I am is absolutely atrocious and I'm living vicariously through people in more temperate climates being able to wear summer clothing without risk of sudden typhoons OR wear rainy clothing without fear of sweltering, horribly hot noons. The first time I saw the phone strap was when I was in Japan last year. They had lots of different straps--a long string of pearls or beads, macrame straps, etc. I don't wear my phone across my chest, but the strap makes it much easier to find my phone at the bottom of my bag. I also think it looks cute to have the long strap hanging out of your pocket.

yes! hair helps a lot with outfits, i have curly hair and sometimes i dress and feel like my curls don’t go with the outfit. Hair influences a lot!!

I size down with my docs, I’m usually a uk 7 in sneakers but docs are roomy and tend to stretch a bit so i do a uk 6
