My first time Kayaking and this Kayak held strong. ruclips.net/user/postUgkx4k5UrhC3v_Y4hIEaXLGvHcN5a5aBmZNB The water got pretty rough as a speed boat zipped by me, and the Kayak withstood it (I expected to be capsized). The Ores are very easy to put together, the pump worked beautifully. the seats are a bit hard to sit in after a while (I recommend sitting on the floor). after reading the reviews I was very scared it'd get a hole in it, the material is very strong and durable. The Air valve may need a small Phillips head screwdriver to adjust, other than that, it's well worth the money!(update)I've gone Kayaking in 3 Lakes and 2 rivers totaling about 40 miles. the kayak had two holes and they patched easily and no other problems can't wait for kayaking season this year!
B Lat I've been watching for about 5-6 years now and it's insane how far you've come in all aspects. The content has become second to none but the fishing is NEXT LEVEL my brother! This is what it's all about
There's a yearly 3-day/2-night canoe camping trip that had started as strictly just some buddies and me about 15 years ago and now has turned into a father-son and family canoe-camping trip. All the 2-3lbs. smallies you could ever want to catch a day with the occasional 4+ smallie and some largies, northerns, muskies and eyes mixed in. Now there's nothing more that I look forward to than this trip and catching them out of a canoe.
That’s awesome my friend. I love floating down a few of the bigger creeks here in North Alabama. The southernmost range for smallmouth. I’ve caught multiple smallies as big as 6& 1 over 7lbs in some water I could never reach wading or in my bass boat. And the numbers in that 2-4 pound class can be pretty great too. Maybe not as good as where you are but that chance for a true giant makes up for it. An hour south there’s shoal bass in that class too… not to mention some monster spotted bass all over the place here. It’s worth it just to get back to nature and the basics. The fish are really just one hell of a bonus. lol
Love my kayaks. I’ve been fishing out of a kayak for over 30 years. It’s funny that you said that about Hartwell I fished my first Kayak Bass fishing tournament fished 14th. Just awesome wish I started doing tourneys sooner.
I bought a kayak as an inexpensive way to get on the water and fish. I didn’t know I would like kayaking so much. When I bought my bass boat I missed being in the yak. I definitely fish different water yak vs. boat but I still enjoy the quiet and connection to the water and the outdoors that comes with kayak fishing.
looks like you hac a lot of fun. love the "" Constructive Criticism " . having a friend that gives back just as much, and no one takes it personal is great
Let me just say, representation matters so much. Watching with my kids now. This was awesome. I love kayak fishing. This year I hope to invest in a better kayak so I can really enjoy the water. Thanks for sharing brother.
Cast to side or at 45° angle will give you more resistance in water & better hook sets. A little softer tip rods help keep fish pinned better than fishing from bank or bigger boats.
B Lat! Been watching your videos religiously these last few months, and I gotta say, this is one of my favorites man! Hilarious content while maintaining the fishing knowledge aspect. Thanks for what you do and I look forward to more content in the future! Fish on!
Last time I fish in Louisiana from a kayak a local told me I shouldn’t be reaching for them fish. The gators like to snatch them from ya. He advised I should use that net behind me LoL I took his advise the remainder of the week.
Kayak fishing is where it’s at, BLat! Me and my buddies are addicted, too! We CONSTANTLY compete against each other, brutally rag on each other, and make some kind of bet every time we put in. So dang fun!
May to Oct I'm kayak fishing 5 or 6 days a week up here in Ontario Canada. Walleye, pike, bass, lake trout . Getting my Hobie PA12 was the best choice I could have made. I'm in my 60s and have no trouble getting up on the roof of my SUV.
Just moved to North Central Florida at the beginning of October (Ian made our entry a little delayed, haha) and I am in fishing paradise. After having been trained as a bass fisherman in the Midwest, but then living in Colorado and Washington for many years where largemouth are few and far between, I am absolutely slaughtering them down here. We live in Ocala and are surrounded by all sorts of lakes to hit, but when I'm just looking to land a fish and don't care about the size, I can just go fling some plastics into the apartment pond and there are always bass ready to strike. I do that damn near every day. Couldn't be happier.
I love my kayak... When you caught that first fish, All I could see was beards and teeth... GRINNING!! YAKS ARE SO MUCH FUN! 🎣🥰👍😊🎣 p.s. (we can do that 12 months a year in Fla) 🎣😝👍😊🎣
I never comment on videos but I can’t help it. Man, I really dig your story. Good to know there are like minded people all over. No alligators in Ohio though. Take care, fish on!
The most water I have covered fishing in my yak paddling was about 4-5 miles. With the trolling motor...I do about 7-8 miles easy now. Peddle or motor allows you to make more casts and cover more water.
I absolutely love fishing out of a kayak. I go, at minimum. twice a week on the river in mine, and people all the time ask me why i don't just get myself a boat. They just don't understand the intimacy i get with the water and nature while im out there in my kayak. Plus the kayak is a lot more budget friendly, and i have just as much or more fun on the water than i would in a boat.
I'm sorry to see you have fell to the level of Kayak fishing! I remember the days when you were on the big stage FLW, glorious times they were! Hang in there, never give up......
Restarted fishing after retiring: 1. Amazed by all the capability of bass boats and electronics 2. I'm old school a) Originally a fly fisherman and when I was 10 could fit everything into a 6" X8" belt pouch 3. Like simplicty of Kayaking, despite its drawback vs. Bass boat
Your points on boat position.... is why I added a Motorguide Xi3 with spotlock to my P127. 59 yrs old with 2 bad shoulders! I actually paddle alot, but that little motor makes my days a little longer and my body a whole lot happier!
Brian!! Man that was great. I support you and I've followed you for years and this my first comment. You are great my brother. I have a bass boat but I'm like you I was skeptical on the Kayak too , I need a Kayak!
B lat you should get a pedal drive, it is absolutely the way to kayak fish. That way you dont exhaustbyour arms before even fishing. How much you pay to have a camera crew follow you around
That place looks awesome! I've been living in southern SC little over a year now. Not far from Clarks Hill & Savannah river. Fishing has been awesome for me. Way better than southern Ohio where I lived my whole life before. I can kayak fish 12 months out of year down here. You absolutely have huge advantage in big bass boat because u can cover so much more water. You just need plan your fishing out before hand & launch in area you wanna fish when kayaking. You have much smaller presence & are quiet & stealthy in kayak.
Kayak sales reps say that all the time, kayak fishing is for fishing where boats can't go. I've been kayak fishing for over 10 years originally because we couldn't afford a boat, trailer and truck to tow the boat. Every where I've fished and I try to fish places boats won't want to go- there are always boats. At least in Georgia and Florida where I've done most of my fishing. So if you plan on buying a kayak thinking you can go where a boat can't sorry boats can go in inches of water same as a kayak, difference is if you get stuck you have to get out in swamp with gators, water moccasins, and leaches while your boat counter with just trim up his motor and blast the place out pushing past you. They have mud and swamp boats that literally run in 1/2 inch of water going over 50mph while you are pulling your kayak through swamp muck. So don't believe that stuff. I do recommend learning how to flip and get back in and having all your equipment tag lined to your kayak. Several times I've been targeted by drunk jet skiers as the object to do a slalom course around. I was happy when the one of the jet ski people went around the back of my kayak and hit the beach and was thrown from the jet ski, cracking the hull of the jet ski and was thrown from the ski to take a tumble on the beach. Lake Lanier Fourth of July weekend I got on a really good top water bite of spotted bass.
Dude kayaks are the best! They crank first try every time and are great on gas :D Stop by and see us in Fort Oglethorpe, GA next time you're fishing Chickamauga Lake!
You sucked me in with the title. I've never seen your channel before. I'm a kayaker, not a fisherman, but you got my attention. Glad I watched the video. Great job. I really enjoyed the interaction with your friend and how you showed off the beautiful outdoors of Louisiana. Also, your paddle strokes looked pretty darn good for someone that doesn't like kayaking.
Nice setup on the 127. I run a 107 but grabbing a 127 next fishing year. Slap a motor on that boat buddy way better on the back. I only paddle when my battery is dead or to get into real shallow rocky spots
Great Video, I’m a kayak angler here in Florida fishing tournaments for red and trout , we host a a few tournaments you should come get some of that action ❤
I’ve actually found out I catch more fish on my kayak in the same spots I take my bass boat too. Probably because I’m a lot more stealthy and thorough when on the kayak
Well said, sir! I actually bought a Ranger glass boat this past year. Surprisingly, I still prefer canoe and kayak fishing in all but the biggest water I fish.
Great video 💯! Love seeing you doing your thing on a kayak. You and Kaylon are halirious together, you guys should definitely hook up more often and do more kayak videos. Videography was awesome, the slow-mo release shots & casting and all the aerial shots were all BADASS. Watched this video like 3 times straight. That lake with the cypress trees was super nice too. Killer job brother, Never stop. 👊 ✌️
Yep, I can see that. For me I'm a fisherman how loves it more now that I'm kayaking. I like Kayak Fishing better than the other options. Hummm paddling across that lake is not what I would look forward to but hey. I would not be able to even think about casting after a mile.
You know, back in the day I commented negatively on a video you did saying why boats were better than kayaks. A: it doesn't matter, and B: Just glad to see you enjoying the water on the yak. Now go get some bull reds on the kayak next!
Good video good to see you stepping out of that comfort zone...I can't afford a big bass boat so kayak was the choice for me...and to be honest it's all I need. Especially when I get one I can mount my motor on.
Dang Mr. Latimer, you still have the campervan. Haven't seen it for a minute and thought you might've returned it. Might have to bring my campervan down and we can go kayak fishing, wink wink. Love your content.
That Magellan Pro Angler shirt you had on at the beginning with the hood & face shield built in, is one of the best angling shirts ive ever worn! I freakin love those damn shirts! They are 40$ per shirt but man they are worth every single penny! Cool Vid Boss!

As a Kayak Fisherman making that first big crossing on a lake is very rewarding.
Rewarding but that paddle back gets ya.
Pedal drive is a game changer tho, paddling can ruin it for most ppl
@@nick.smith616 when that east wind comes in….
@@nick.smith616💯, especially if you didn't catch like you planned
Favorite vid from B. Lat fishing my home lake with a local super star Kaylon.
I haven't had this much fun watching fishing in along time. Shout out for the friendly competition and incredible content 💪🏽💪🏽

As a New Mexican I get so happy when I hear people say cuz. takes me back to family reunions
@Aziz Azif Amen brother!
I sold my bass boat after I started kayak fishing. I love it!
This makes me so exited for this spring - buying my first fishing kayak!
That shirt... Love it!
Love my kayaks. I’ve been fishing out of a kayak for over 30 years. It’s funny that you said that about Hartwell I fished my first Kayak Bass fishing tournament fished 14th. Just awesome wish I started doing tourneys sooner.

so refreshing to see us embracing the outdoors.
I chased points on Hartwell all summer. No motor. Just a paddle. Alota work. Good seeing ya B Lat
The camera guy OMG too good. Everthing well put together wow.
Cast to side or at 45° angle will give you more resistance in water & better hook sets. A little softer tip rods help keep fish pinned better than fishing from bank or bigger boats.
Gotta get a pedal drive Brian 😂😂😂 that shit is life changing in the kayak world
I have one
Really love da competitive “trash talking” reminds me of me and my dad
Just watching some one fish from a kayak is exciting.😊
B Lat! Been watching your videos religiously these last few months, and I gotta say, this is one of my favorites man! Hilarious content while maintaining the fishing knowledge aspect. Thanks for what you do and I look forward to more content in the future! Fish on!

This is as genuine as it gets, love it.

Told you you will fall in love with it. Now it's time to put a trolling motor on that bonified. And hit some salt for reds/blacks, trout and sheephead
Love the ribbing. Such a fun video. I love the paddle aspect as much as the fishing.

Some yakers have spotlock tmotors, electric traveling motors, and forward facing sonar.
They win tournaments.
Restarted fishing after retiring:

I really enjoyed watching that one. Beautiful lake. Kayak fishing is tough. I just got into it myself.
Talkin smack like Charles Barkley and Larry Bird. Love it
Lol… little bitty boat and alligators. “We did it anyway.” That shit made me miss the bayou.😂😂
I fish a kayak on the Ohio River. Its fun! Specially when a barge goes by! The struggle makes it fun!
“DOUBLE caught off guard” 🤣🤟🏾
Great fishing with great people. Gotta love it 💪🏽
That was a great video and your man yeah he was cool look forward to video with him included
I love your videos. Reminds me of when I fish with my brother. It's all fun competition. Keep on keeping on

B Lat is my favorite pro by a million miles x 10.

Quality video and great soundtracks used! Really set a cool vibe for the video.
Brings back fishing the bayou's up in northern Louisiana. I was station at Barksdale AFB for 2yrs and fished Caddo and the Black Bayou. Great stuff.
if you set up your kayak with a motorguide XI3 it will feel like a smaller bass boat, since I added one to my yak, I use it more than my boat
Dude kayaks are the best! They crank first try every time and are great on gas :D Stop by and see us in Fort Oglethorpe, GA next time you're fishing Chickamauga Lake!

Fishing in MY neck of the swamp! Looks like Lake Palourde.
That was one of the best fishing days I have seen. Enjoyed the double team kayak attack.
Awesome job you guys I love kayak fishing.
I liked the ad placement smooth you inspired me to start filming my catches with a gopro
Appropriate intro music for being in Louisiana 💯🕺🏾🔥
I'm glad you got to experience what I've known for a little while...love kayak fishing!
This looked like big fun! What a beautiful place! Nice production work on the video.
Great video, love your evolution in kayak fishing.

This has to be my favorite video yet, thanks B-lat. Awesome!
Can’t wait to get my kayak

As comfortable as the Bonafide is, it is also a barge to paddle.
Lol yep that’s why I ended up getting a nuecanoe pursuit still extremely stable and paddles great.
@@marcpino4880 Nice choice!
ive only fished in a kayak you make the boat life sound so nice LOL
That was so much fun. Awesome man.
You know, back in the day I commented negatively on a video you did saying why boats were better than kayaks. A: it doesn't matter, and B: Just glad to see you enjoying the water on the yak. Now go get some bull reds on the kayak next!

Well done gents! Production quality is A1
Dang Mr. Latimer, you still have the campervan. Haven't seen it for a minute and thought you might've returned it. Might have to bring my campervan down and we can go kayak fishing, wink wink. Love your content.
WOW awesome video. Kalon is a freaking hammer and well deserved to fish with the legend.
Nice video!.I haven’t try too much kayak fishing but it has been really cool!!. Regards from Monterrey Mexico
That Magellan Pro Angler shirt you had on at the beginning with the hood & face shield built in, is one of the best angling shirts ive ever worn! I freakin love those damn shirts! They are 40$ per shirt but man they are worth every single penny! Cool Vid Boss!
This was such a good video man, absolutely hilarious 😂
You really need to go chase reds in it
Awesome video! Really enjoyed your kayak fishing day
Please fish a kayak tournament, I love your tournament videos and it would be awesome to see you make a kayak tournament video or 2
