Brian I appreciate the “to the point information” hard for top anglers to be honest these days, but you are an exception. Thank you very much brother for what you are doing. God Speed!
Thanks for watching and being a part of this channel.
Couldn’t agree with you more. Was gonna say the same thing but you already nailed it. B.Lat is one of the realest anglers on RUclips. I watch his content religiously
Man great video, love flipping wood and you just broke it down 👊
Great information again. THANK YOU
You had me at “ you don’t know what your doing yet” lol! And you right!
Just caught a very nice one last night on the green pumpkin palmetto bug with a 1/4 oz weight right off a laydown! Line was swimming away before the bait hit the bottom! 🎣🎣🎣🎣
Thanks a lot Brian! RUclips has turned into an advertising orgy, especially in the fishing realm. I’m glad you’re here with the willingness to teach instead of sell.
он торгаш!)) он продаёт товары в своем магазине, но очень аккуратно и незаметно для вас, глупые американцы )
I want to thank you for your videos.I know they must be a lot of work, but I learn so much from watching and listening to you. All the best this year!
Can we go fishing together? I have no boat and no father growing up. I’ve been fishing since I could ride a bike to my local reservoir and creeks . I love it . I have 3 kids of my own now and I take them fishing 🎣 I hope and pray they get a passion to it like us fellow anglers! Peace and joy with you brother . I enjoy watching your videos
This is probably one of the most straight informational videos about this technique that I have watched. Such great information and fun to watch. 👍👍👍
Good stuff...the toenail comment was _________(plug big word in here)
I've lost so many fish while trying to really learn this technique. the "swing back," poor hook sets, and fishing those complicated laydowns. I got a lot out of this video, THANK YOU.
I’ve been made fun of my whole life for being left handed. It wasn’t until I went on a fishing trip with my family that I learned I have an advantage. I reel with my right hand and cast with my left. I was naturally given this advantage! For once in my life being left handed has been a blessing.
I am right handed but I cast with my right and reel with my left as growing up i only used spinning..and when i picked up the baitcaster reeling with my right its as awkward as writing with my left hand...kinda weird but cross dominant I have heard it called but my left which is non dominant is stronger than my right...
I’m trying to figure out what idiot made fun of someone for being left handed?
@@BrianLatimerFishing I love him dearly, but my grandpa! 🤣
So you fish right handed…🤔 My dad is left handed and I grew up with him teaching me how he did stuff. So at 42 I still fish left handed, and shoot left handed. School sports like baseball, basketball, etc I do right handed.
@@FishfryOGMcTaco Me too. I write with my left hand. I swing bats and golf clubs left handed. Skateboard goofy. I throw with my right hand and fish right handed. But I cast like I’m a lefty.
Man I wanna go fishing with you! Flipping trees and lay downs are my favorite thing to do. That's how you catch those big mama's lol
Excellent video . Learned alot . Apparently there was a few things I was doing wrong all these years thanks for the advice.
Brian your content is some of the best around. It’s to the point and doesn’t overwhelm. I’ve been getting back into bass fishing after years of only doing inshore. Your videos have been very helpful.
The realest fisherman there is. Call it what you want, put the bait where you want it.
I’m new to pitchin and flippin, so this video was valuable for me to watch. I also liked your chatter bait video. Great instructions. Thank You.
Glad it was helpful!
I fish slow , I angle it , and I pick it apart
Brian, solid explanation of this subject. Taught me a few things. Great job and keep up the good work
Flipping Texas rig on laydowns and stumps catching bass is fun fun and more fun. Watching videos from you guys who are professional anglers I get a lot from your videos. Keep it rolling B-Lat
For this situation : Peg or not peg? For the hook straigh shank or EWG? Snail know or palomar ? Thank you!
Love the reminder to use what you have. I’m that guy who browses tackle warehouse as much as I fish 😅
This was an incredibly helpful video. I have always been confused about which are best laydowns and this was spot on. Thank you so much!!!
Brian is my favorite fisherman of all time next to my dad. He's honest, down to earth, and funny. My favorite angler hands down.
Thanks my guy! I appreciate the love. That’s a huge statement to make.
Hi Brian, I really appreciate your down to earth, common sense approach to breaking down the techniques. You're one of my favorites and I really enjoy your videos. Thank you for taking time to share your knowledge with us! :)
I’ve gotta say, I like how you went over everything & then kicked it straight. Don’t worry if you don’t have the exact gear, just get out there & do it.
Liked & subbed.
Even though I'm pretty successful and confident in fishing lay downs doesn't mean that I'm not going to come watch this video and possibly learn a thing or two. Always willing to learn something from another angler that I may not know
Appreciate the advice Brian . Helps me out in lower Alabama because this all we focus on , mostly to win a tournament. Keep doing videos like this and thanks a lot .
Brain I appreciate your videos I've learned so much from watching you! Thank you!
Great video love your content,I can tell you put alot of thought and effort into it,thanks and keep em coming
Hey Brian, thanks for all your videos, I absolutely love watching them. I’ve tried pitching/flipping, but every time I do it right now, I end up with a birds nest. What am I doing wrong? I have a Shimano SLX DC I’m using.
Awesome learning video . Thanks as always share your experience. Would love for you to start making videos like this one but in a kayak . Definitely different way to flip/ cast out of a kayak . Thamks
All respect 🙏🏽 when u came back and said don't go out and spend your money while you're still new and not knowing what you're doing bcus that's exactly what I did 🤦🏾♂️ and now I'm learning on a good setup yes, but I already had a few 'throw away' setups I could have used for learning. Plus just had another kid so I am terrified of the prices of EVERYTHING right now. To make a short story long, I caught your advice too late but maybe you'll catch the next 🤡 before he makes the same mistake 😁👍🏾
Good tip on bite detection...I struggle with this because if I don't feel a thump or my line doesn't just take off, idk when I'm gettin bit. I fish some killer areas that are completely off limits to most of the population and I know I've missed some killer catches because of this
Yeah,I'm kinda new to bass fishing but those submerged roots that are completely invisible unless you slow down and look for them. Those are an absolute gold mine for me
Ohh this makes me want to go fish. It was the plan today, but my back planned a sneak attack. I’ve been river fishing smallies for years and I have that down but I’ve ignored a good large mouth lake that’s close to me until the last year or so. It’s fun because it’s different techniques than I use on the river. A lot of frog fishing and grass.
Would you please take a vacation to fish Lake Wappapello Missouri? Wappapello has been getting 18-20 lb stingers just bout every tournament. I fish this lake in the Us Anglers Choice tournament and Wappapello Bass Circuit and just can't seem to figure this place out and everyone is very tight lipped on helping. Kenny W.
Perfect timing..just made a flipping set up..Thanks for sharing
I got a 6'2 mh with 14lb flouro on it (right now) what would you use that for? Or should I give it to my son and get something for myself 😂.
Awesome video! Usually all the fishing videos are on fishing lakes or ponds but this is more like the river I fish. I usually catch most of my fish on laydowns or along the bank edges. I'm gonna try these tips out tomorrow!
If they feeding the plastic should not really matter as much. Match the lure to the clarity of the water!!!
"Man, I tell ya, man. My sister in law moved in with me, and boy she cuts her toenails on the couch and leaves them."
Probably the best example of a fishing conversation I've ever heard.
Would you attack these Lay downs parallel to the bank if you are fishing from the bank or just pitch right out in front of you.? I’m a River Bank guy and see these quite often but always worry about hanging up.
I cast with my right hand because it is my dominant hand, the hand I throw with, so I'm more accurate and flexible with it. I've always held the rod with my right hand and reeled with my left. I've always wondered why you would ever want to be in a position to need to switch hands, as your lure is entering the water or as it is falling or as it is hitting the bottom........why would you ever want to be disconnected to your rod and reel at any time?
Hey Brian thanks alot for this great info I'm not very good at pitching. God bless you and your family. Hey Brian those kids of yours are adorable bro.. I've seen them in some of the videos in your garage.
Cool video brother.... any chance there is a drag on the reel making the noise? I knoe nothing about fly fishing... just asking
👍👊🏻🎣
I’m glad as a beginner fisherman b lat reminds me that there’s more to learn and fishing comes with experience cuz I don’t know shi but a bobber and a worm😂
Hey B Lat, do you think you could do a offshore video without using your Spot Lock? There's a lot of us don't have that tool and need some tips. Appreciate all your videos and content. Thanks.
Excellent video. I like your No Nonsense approach when sharing your information. You are absolutely correct too many people get tied up in the correct pronunciation for the style of fish and that they are using. I like what you said just put the bait where it needs to be. I do however have one question. Can you pitch a wacky rig and how would you keep from getting it hung up if you do. I know it's probably going to be almost impossible to keep from getting hung up all the time.
Great video 👍. Do you have preferences on pegging the weights or beads / no beads
After16 years tournament fishing the first few years honestly I sucked at it but stay with it
One thing I didn’t hear is large mouth only need one eye in the shade and they
think there hidden
I was fishing the James River in VA and we ran across a submerged fruit container all wood of course so we pitch into it, so after 4-5 pitches my partner decides to give up but I felt this is ideal, of course I was using a different soft plastic, so 4 more pitches I pull out a 4 pounder, sometimes you just have to piss them off to get them to bit especially when then water is in the 90’s and water stained
Very nice job explaining it
I spent many winters in my living room pitching to cups lol
Brian thank you for the video its great information! I'm new to this type of fishing and these tips will help a lot!
my sister moved in and she cuts her toe nail and leaves them on the couch...had me rolling.. loved your content,, thanks for your teaching..
Hi Brian thank you for all the information on bass fishing. I've learned a lot for your videos
I ain't saying I wouldn't flip it..lol 🤯🤷♂️🤣🎣🐟
B Lat and MDJ is my two favorite Homies. 👍👍
You going up that creek is reminiscent of the boat ride in Apocalypse Now.
I taught myself to throw Lefty gear for the exact reason of flipping/pitching.
Appreciate your instructions bruh!! Thx again
@Brian latimer do you ever respond to your emails because I emailed you and still haven't gotten any response
Bro. My sister-in law moved in with me, she cuts her toenails on the couch and leaves em. 🤣🤣👌👌
Brian, another great “straight scoop” video!
Dude talks too much
He ain't a pro
Man
Show us some respect to us the real Anglers
Ive got the same Sister in law!!! :-). Is there a dye that works on these plastics??
You sir are a great teacher. Enjoyed watching your videos
I have never been able to pitch or flip. I just get birds nest when I try to
Awh, man. Not the Sister-in-Law's toenails on the couch!???
I like to fish my blades jigs on lay downs in the rivers and lakes down here in Florida
I find the gnarliest tangle of tree I sorta punch it I out fish most guys in my club doing this
Appreciate all of it. Pitching laydowns is my meant n potatoes too
What braid and what fluorocarbon line brand do you recommended.
"Toe Nails"...lol. That sounded personal.
Great tips. Thanks for sharing. The demonstration really helps!!!
Do you know how hard it is to survive? I can't make ends meet.
Exactly what im lookin for. Thank u
Throwing a buzz bait left handed is good also.
Look man….im new as f@ck but imma flip w.e the f@ck i wanna flip
Excellent job! This is probably the best advanced flippin video I have seen!
Make a couple parallel cast across end of laydowns. At Various angles
I use 1/8-3-16 to fish 8 feet of water with Texas rig I fish it a lot slower than normal and have caught giant fish honestly my favorite way to flip
Always use 3/16th for Texas rigs my rod won't load on anything lighter
@@Hshshdfb eh I fish semi bfs gear it’s just right for me
Blat! Can you get z-man to make a curly tailed worm?
When would you peg the weight for this?
When to Texas rig worm vs creature or a jig??
Cut that hair dawg😁
Blat is this scam?
Clipping toe nails, bogey man and John Cena references. Excellent work Brian! Keep it up.
I love the rasta or yellow green black
Great tips. Thanks. Love the video.
Awesome video our river in south Mississippi looks like this the pearl river. Very informative. I really enjoy your videos.
"Flipping lay downs"?
Excellent video Brian! We rarely get the "thought process" behind why you fish where. Super informative!!
She cuts her toenails and leaves em on the couch 🛋 😂
I see that as: Straight Up, son. Thanks.
I need to practice so I can pitch left handed.
Brian…I really enjoyed this video. I enjoyed your instruction on a subject that is a huge weak spot in my fishing game. Thank you
You ever fish anywhere in West Virginia??
B-Lat keepin it real... love ya man
Great instructional video!!! Thanks for pointing out all those tips. Very much appreciated!!👊🏻 Stay Safe & God Bless!!
Love the channel bro , really great stuff too , you explain it so well
What kinda hook sir
Thanks Brian, I have been flipping for years ( I call it flipping also) but when I hear pros talk about it I focus more on my bad habits I picked up over the years. Thanks for the help.
