Thanks bro I watch all your stuff front to back I'm like u I love things simple I see u don't have all the crazy graphs and stuff on your boat I think that's awesome keep it up bro u will have your year....
I just got into bass fishing for my son last year. He’s on the highschool bass fishing team. I went a bought a 90s bass boat and started fixing it up. Right now with some of the tips I’ve learned off your channel we’re in the running for state. I hope we can close out the season with a win.
Give a man a fish, he has a meal for the day…Teach a man/woman to fish they have a meal for life🙏 Brian, I started fishing with my Dad and brothers at 6-7 years old. I have followed your channel since 2017-2018 for a few reasons, but the #1 reason is I witnessed your character in the FLW tournaments, and my son produced their TV Shows and Live Streams,so I was at Forrest Wood Cups and All American Tournaments. I have seen the changes and my son, after 18 years with FLW, left the second year of MLF. I’m still a FAN of you, your channel, your tournament career and now your SUF School. I use a lot of ZMAN products after I went to the Forrest Wood Cup on Lake Murray and met the GSM and I also met Miles Burghoff …… I am so happy for your successes, in both fishing and family. I’m also a musician, and I really appreciate your creativity….. I will definitely continue to support you, your channel and your school. I know that with 200K followers you can reach your students directly and it’s a great idea. No need to reply to me, just feel the energy I am sending 💯🍀🎣🍀😎
Thanks for the videos man, I'm 60 and I just started fishing again. Haven't fished much since mid 90's. My son-in-law is an avid angler and aspires to go pro, but he needs someone to help out and be there for him. His pop passed exactly a year ago and I love helping him, also, I'm retired and have all the time in the world to help. My thing is I am not able to improve his game so I watch the RUclipss to get better informed and your videos along with maybe five others are helping so much. Thank you for taking your valuable time to help us all out, you rock!
My father in law is my fishing partner. If you’re open to it I would highly recommend Brian’s school. I’m in it and you really do learn a lot plus with Brian’s personality you know it will be fun too. It’s really nice to have access to Brian when you have questions and maybe the class is something you and your son in law can do together.
One of the best characters in the sport, i havent bass fished in 12 years since i left albuquerque to return to Ireland, but i love the sport, perch in freshwater and wrasse in the sea is the closest we have, i look forward to all your videos
Brian, thanks for showing your rig and bringing us along on your practice! It's cool to see what goes into a tournament week! Good luck this year hope you have a lot of success!!
I was one of those guys back in 2018 when I started watching your channel. I was off work due to knee surgery and had a lot of time on my hands. I didn’t grow up in the fishing world, more so just hunting. Watching you and others on RUclips fishing channels I’m learning how to be a better bass fishermen. I thank you for that!! This will be my second year in a local bass club. Still have a lot to learn. GOOD LUCK THIS YEAR!!
Thanks brother ,I really enjoy your content, believe it or not it is very helpful ,I'm looking forward to joining your fishing school, we have to support. When first saw the Excite Bite hoodie I knew exactly were you had gotten the idea from, awesome!! Keep up the hard work BLatt.
I have been at it about 25 years, but really didnt know much more than I picked up just doing it. I also fished primarily creeks/rivers wading. Ive started to fish kayak tournaments the last few years and used a lot of tips picked up from your channel. Shakey head has won me a few now
Turned 50 last year. Began my fishing addiction in my early 40s. Learned so much from watching your channel. Thank you kindly for sharing your journey with us and teaching me a LOT of things I was doing wrong! Much love!
Agree Brian the gap between new beginners and experienced fisherman is a gap. I’ve been fishing my whole life but new as a bassboat owner and your videos have helped I’m looking forward to signing up and get help from SUF
Been fishing about 55 years, but still learning. I just love it. Nothing like it. Appreciate you, what you do, and that you took time at the Harris Chain to talk with my grandson and me and take a couple pics. Thanks, man. Keep being you.
Bruh I thoroughly enjoy you and your video content. I have been fishing for 61 years. Started lure fishing when my brother and I found a silver spoon with red and black dots on a small country pond. We caught sunfish, warmouth and bass before I lost it to a root we couldn’t see. The one thing I wish you would consider for your tournaments for us have a boat and shore category. Those of us on the shore don’t have a chance. 😉🎣
I got into this in the last few years. Started bank fishing and eventually got a kayak. Slowed down the last two years but ready to get back into it more over this spring
I never really fished as a younger person. I’m 52 now and my kids are grown. I like fishing and do appreciate any help. Informative videos like yours help a lot.
Brian Thanks for the videos. I'm 59 and I've been fishing for years. My dad taught me how to fish when I was a toddler. Needless to say, I've been hooked. For many years I've experimented with many baits and techniques. Thank you for your videos. They've helped me to make heads or tails on how to fish the many baits and with that I am teaching my fellow soldier. Soon to retire from the military, I will continue to give classes to the wounded veterans in my region. I appreciate what you do for me and the others who have questions.
Just started back fishing last year. Learned the very little I know from RUclips but my father in law got me into bass fishing big time after my father passed away and needed something to keep something on mind! You and your videos have helped me a ton and this is my first year of having a bass boat instead of just bank fishing! I’d love to join your fishing school when money gets right! Thanks a lot BLat! Good luck this year.
I have to admit... Of all the guys i have been following you are still sticking to the fishing i love.. Its sooooo nice to watch someone Flip and Pitch the shallows. I love to watch you fish and not just see you looking a a screen....
Thanks for sharing Brian. I grew up with my dad catfishing and then got a small boat when I was young. I started bass fishing but only knew about plastic worms and live bait. Life sped up, I got a job, got married and raised two boys. Coached sports for over 20 years and rarely fished. My boys grew up and I retired. Got a small boat again and boy, has bass fishing changed. I will admit as I began to watch many RUclips videos, it was overwhelming. Luckily, I found you and straight up fishing school. I appreciate that you are a teacher , not just spouting off about buying this and that lure. You have simplified my future fishing and teaching me about bass behavior. I encourage all anglers to give SUF a chance and you will not be disappointed. By the way, I got the bonus and I thank you.
One of my first memories is fishing with my dad in a creek. I spent my childhood fishing day in and day out bass, carp, catfish, i even would catch crayfish and sell them. Life got in the way of my passion but the Internet brought me right back. Were talking sunrise 16° air temp out on the boat, fishing docks and bridges in the summer, crazy waves, fun times with my boys, i love it all!
Me and my son watch all your videos. I grew up in BHP. Best of luck in the tournaments this year. He started the high school fishing team this yr. Been a learning experience so far. Your videos help a lot. Thank you for all you do to educate.
I have been bass fishing for over 40 years. I like your channel because even I can learn something everyday. I also have always wanted to be a pro but you know life gets in the way.
Great video boat!!! A great bass tournament director is retiring around here on Kentucky Lake, Randy Sullivan. So a buddy of mine is starting a new tournament trail called KLAT (Kentucky Lake Anglers Trail) and the first thing I thought of was you. So B’Lat, if your ever on around Kentucky Lake, it would be interesting to see B’Lat fish the KLAT. Come join us. Good luck this year B’Lat 😁👍💯
43, honestly I stumbled across your Straight Up fishing tv show one rainy Sunday and really enjoyed watching you fish with your Dad and kids. Plus you only live an hour or 2 away frome so you fish some of the same bodies of water I do. You keep it real and transparent. So I decided to look you up on all the Social media platforms. Good luck I'm pulling for you 💯
I love the music analogy. I play music better than I fish but I've been fishing with one my favorite musical collaborators for many years and he's taught me a lot. There's still plenty I don't know. We wade rivers and fish from kayaks and I just like being out there.
Great to see the van incorporated in your tournament videos. I own a Airstream Nineteen that's on the same MB Sprinter Van chassis. I use it often during my travels, kayak bass tournament and etc. I plan to purchase a boat in the near future and will be following your thoughts on how the van does a varies lake's ramps. I've never had a ramp that had my tail pipe in the water but pretty damn close. Enjoyed the video.
Thanks Brian. Hope to see you sometime on Hartwell. I’m new to fishing, just bought a Ranger RT188. Trying to catch my first bass sooner than later. It’s not as easy as it looks lol
Wishing you the best this season! Awesome concept with the online school! Thanks for spending a few minutes on the Storyteller, love it and hope to hear more!
Been fishing since a little kid (I’m 43) because of my grandfather and Dad. Did little Bass fishing as a teenager and got back in a year. Not a lot largemouth Bass in Brasil. I eventually fish in a pond. I am getting better by watching your videos! Thank you very much!
B- Latt you really are an amazing person I can't believe how humble you are, I really appreciate your honesty about struggling to catch fish. I always wondered if the pros have tough days also, it always seems like there always catching fish 24/7. Thanks for being you! God bless 🙌
Advocacy is the key to anything positive. Fishing will, of course, survive. Teach a man to fish, as it were. Good for you in realizing that teaching is a great way to connect with the community at large. At 53 I am just beginning my tournament journey with kayak tournaments. Been fishing since I could hold a rod (thanks Dad). When I was 19, my father offered to sponsor me with a boat and a truck. He saw that I had uncanny skills in bass fishing. Instead, I grew my hair long and partied for the next 20 odd years. That was a bad choice. Keep up the good work. It's people like you who are changing lives through inspiration and insight.
That would be East Texas. Deep East Texas to be exact. We were out on the lake at the same time this year as our high school tournament overlapped with the MLF again. I met you at the Umphrey's weigh in a couple years ago and my son saw you again this year after our pre fish on Friday. We caught a bag on Saturday, but no real weight to speak of. It rained hard, but there was no wind to speak of and it made running the lake a dream. My son Peter is the bass fisherman and I'm the captain, mechanic, cook, make it work guy. Peter wants to continue the tournament circuit in college and beyond. I really like your energy and videos Brian and I wish you all the best.
Not me I have been fishing/bass fishing my whole life. I started much like you which is why I like your content so much because your story is so relatable to my own. I started out fishing farm ponds from the bank then I got a Jon boat that i carried in the bed of my truck and had to put together at the ramp. Then I started fishing jon boat tournaments on electric only lakes. I met a guy that fished BFL and BASS weekend series. I got my first check in a Jon boat tournament and that same afternoon my buddy called and asked if I would fish as a co-angler the next day because they told him if he had a co angler sign up he wouldn’t draw out boat on boat. So I took my winnings and rushed to lake Oconee to sign up as a no boater. The next day I dropped bombs on them. Back then the co angler could only keep 3 fish but my weight and the boaters weight were combined back then. I ended up with a 3 fish limit of 13lbs and my boater end with 5 fish that weighed 11lbs. After weigh-in they announced that the boaters would be announced after the weigh-in but that the computer was down and co-angler finishes wouldn’t. So I ended up winning but no one really knew and I got my trophy and check in the mail. I took the money from that bass weekend tournament and used it to help buy my first bass boat. I found a 1998 Triton TR-19 with a 175 Johnson on it for $10,000. I negotiated with the seller and got it down to $9,990 lol he only did that because the bank I was getting my loan from told him that by doing it that way he wouldn’t have to pay taxes. My granddad co-signed for my boat and I have been fish and moving up ever since.
Great vid bro. I got into bass fishing during the 2020 stuff. I have the bass fishing fever now. Went from kayak to bass raider to jon boat to now bass boat. I have watched many of your videos and they have helped me a lot. I appreciate your help. Thank you and keep the videos coming!
Good video Brian. I would suggest to you that some of the best Rayburn locals dont fish much offshore, especially this time of year. Guys like Todd Castledine seem to dominate and arent fishing offshore but beat the banks instead. Since you have never cashed a check for Rayburn, maybe consider trying that. Good luck man.
I'm one of those old guys (70) getting back into fishing. Used to fish all the time as a teenager, mostly catfishing. I'm going to retire this year and get a boat. Hope the fish are biting. Thanks for sharing all your knowledge.
Gd’Even’g Bro, I was literally grand fathered in around 1983 by my Grand Father, Jasper County, S.C. w./ cane pole. The property, had a few farm ponds filled with bass OR what they refer to as brim and bowfin aka Mudfish. Always good to see your content, keep the wheels turning…👍🏾
Love your channel, even though I’m not a bass fisherman anymore. Been married 37 years, and in the last 3 years my wife has discovered she loves fishing!! But not for bass, we love to fish for crappie and bluegill. Delicious!! Love your humble attitude.
Buddy, I was on the lake with you but I was fishing the Hobie BOS in the Kayak. I wish I knew you were on the lake too I would have met up with ya. I found them in the shallow buddy, I got 16th in the tournament.
I’ve fished BiG SAM maybe 5 times and that was years ago. The big lakes in Texas it takes a lot of time on the water to figure out the lakes. Good luck and I enjoyed the video.
I got into fishing because my kids wanted to fish. Been about a year and going stir crazy to make it through winter. And I don’t know who Jerry is, but I’m glad you keep him in check. 😂
Never fished bass until recently because I want to do some tournaments for fun when I'm fully retired and bass tourneys are everywhere. I bought a place at Rayburn last year to be able to learn and make home base. You're not making my decision look good. If you can't catch them, I'm in trouble.
Hi Brian, I recently watched a video! BTL will Drew Gill talking to Matt Pangrac on his fishing technique and how he goes about it just prior to the kid fishing Sam Rayburn, dude it’s a video that you need to watch I found his method to be one of the easiest ways to locate and catch fish,I’m not active in fishing anymore but dang it’s definitely something you should take a look at because seeing you in the top ten makes my day thanks for the journey my man😊
Dang BLat! you're a good dude man! I'd sure like to hook up with you when you come back through North Louisiana! It'd be a pleasure to spend a day with you!
I’ve only been fishing since 2021. Your channel was one I instantly gravitated towards and made me realize fishing wasn’t something only old red necks did 🤷🏽♂️ One thing I’m still trying to keep up with is the pro circuit. I wanna watch you compete but can’t seem to find when you’ll be on.
I see you can wrap your extensions cord the proper way. Absolutely the only way to save time and agrivation. Any other way is like a backlashing into the wind. Lol, great video, and have a great season.
Speaking frankly brian, I've been fishing most of my life, I love the sport of fishing, and everybody's interpretation of it is different, where you might know a different technique that you've learned in The last 5 years I don't okay, with that being said, there's always room to grow, always room to learn, being open-minded to the sport and others opinions and points of view is imperative for growth. Change my last opinion.😊
I really appreciate your videos...I am self proclaimed worlds worst bass fisherman. Got my butt kicked way too many times.....should give it up but too stubborn to quit.....I really need to give the school some thought.......a lil success would give my confidence a huge boost.
I’ve only been bass fishing for two years now maybe a little less. I’m that guy you’ll see on the lake in the most random spots taking that John yacht through the wildest shit. My biggest fish on artificial is 8lb 14oz, biggest on live bait is 9lb 4oz. I have a hard time getting away from the soft plastics and spinner baits or chatterbaits. I just don’t have much luck with anything else in our lakes here. Thinking about joining some local tournaments this year and see how it goes. Gotta start somewhere lol
I've been a non boater for 6 years now for capital district bassmasters ny I won my first championship as non-boater and league championship I'm in love with catching big ny bass

Dude you rock! I wish I had a father in law like you. Your a good person.
Father in law of the year
I bet just being the thoughtful, supportive father in law that you are means a lot more to him than you can imagine. You a real one
Well, I'm at the opposite end of the spectrum. I've been bass fishing longer than you have been alive, BUT I'm never to old to review and learn.
You are on to something awesome for all a lot of us who love to fish

1 of my top tournament fishing channels, B Lat i hope this season is your best ever and i will follow every one with you in it❤
Not me I have been fishing/bass fishing my whole life.
Rayburn. My home lake. You got this.
I love that lake man!
Love your vids bro. You are awesome dude
Good to see you stopping at QT its a great company and are good to thier employees. Keep using them in your travels. And thanks for the videos
B-lat you are the man thanks for what you take the time and do..
Good luck blat 👍
Love your channel, even though I’m not a bass fisherman anymore. Been married 37 years, and in the last 3 years my wife has discovered she loves fishing!! But not for bass, we love to fish for crappie and bluegill. Delicious!! Love your humble attitude.
Buddy, I was on the lake with you but I was fishing the Hobie BOS in the Kayak. I wish I knew you were on the lake too I would have met up with ya. I found them in the shallow buddy, I got 16th in the tournament.
Thought I'd say hello from statesville nc. Love the videos. Thank you
I’m one who was brought to fishing by the internet! Thank you for your instructional videos!
Bro that van is awesome!
That van is awesome.
You hit it right on the head. Thanks
Keeping it. Real. Man!!!!!
I’ve fished BiG SAM maybe 5 times and that was years ago. The big lakes in Texas it takes a lot of time on the water to figure out the lakes. Good luck and I enjoyed the video.
I just started bro love the content just subscribed can't wait to learn from you.
This is dope! Wishing you the best man!
Great merc diesel van excellent choice. I use a BMW x5 (8 cyl). If i traveled I’d run the merc too. You can put 400k miles on that thing.
I got into fishing because my kids wanted to fish. Been about a year and going stir crazy to make it through winter.
And I don’t know who Jerry is, but I’m glad you keep him in check. 😂
I’m still proud of you and thank you for the videos
I hope its going to change for the better.
Never fished bass until recently because I want to do some tournaments for fun when I'm fully retired and bass tourneys are everywhere. I bought a place at Rayburn last year to be able to learn and make home base. You're not making my decision look good. If you can't catch them, I'm in trouble.
loved that game!
I absolutely remember excite-bike and my kids had the Nintendo game lol but now my 2 Sons are Active Duty. Stay safe Brian, Semper Fidelis
I was checking out one of those converted Sprinter vans last week. They are really nice. EXPENSIVE but nice.
Yes they are!
I just got into bass fishing in 2020. I live here in Panama city FL
Hi Brian, I recently watched a video! BTL will Drew Gill talking to Matt Pangrac on his fishing technique and how he goes about it just prior to the kid fishing Sam Rayburn, dude it’s a video that you need to watch I found his method to be one of the easiest ways to locate and catch fish,I’m not active in fishing anymore but dang it’s definitely something you should take a look at because seeing you in the top ten makes my day thanks for the journey my man😊
Love the overlander
Best of luck in the coming year buddy.
Liking the van bro!
Love the RV and the Zman products you show and use.
Dang BLat! you're a good dude man!
Love that game 💯
That's so funny you relate it to music I just related to golf on my TikTok channel teaching people the why to me is the most important part
Thanks BLat apprecjate you being reel. Tigbt lines from central Texas.
Hey this video just started them schol bass that is a dream come trure
I have got to order me some gear. Especially the hoodie!
Shopblat.com
Good luck BLat! It’s too bad you ain’t got the teal hoodies in my size, I woulda copped one 😅
I've been a non boater for 6 years now for capital district bassmasters ny I won my first championship as non-boater and league championship I'm in love with catching big ny bass
I’m 75 still in it I no the struggles hang tuff blat😊
I have a good friend with an older version of the RV.
I love watching your fishing, however all I really like doing myself is Crappie and Trout fishing.
Dat boy ballin 😎
love all the videos Brian. What is the red thing called that covers your TM cable and where did you get it.
