I have a 2020 M4 HE with comp package and DCT. My M4 has full MPERFORMANCE parts with 763M wheels 285 20inch rear 255 19inch front. I have 0 issues with hard pulls off the line. Car feels amazing. I am running PS4S BMW Star spec tires. Car is lowered on MPERFORMANCE suspension kit…. I like the G82 interior but that’s about it. CSL is the only M4 that looks good.
G82 is an embarrassment to the BMW brand and legacy. The design is horrendous. No DCT, no CF components, puny rear brakes with floating caliper, higher weight etc - all make this a disappointing car after the great F8x generation.

All bmws' look better in Black. It's a the dark glossy colors that's show of curves and design language of the chassis. The brightest colors are mundane and like vanilla ice cream. Dark exterior bright interior color contrast

Having driven both cars, do not bother buying their manual versions. The DCT is phenomenal and did not make me miss the manual transmission in 2024. The ZF in the G82 is also amazing and launches this car in 2nd gear like no other. Edit: F82>>>>
Ok, I'm not here to hate so I will say this with all honesty; while I have no doubt that the G82 is an mostly all around better car, without a doubt that interior is smoking and the car looks really great from the side and ok from the rear (especially the rear Diffuser) but there's just no amount of dressing you can put on that front grille (which kills the car) that'll make it digestible to look at. Imagine you have a woman with a great body, awesome curves, she can probably ride you like a rollercoaster but her teeth are literally hanging out the front of her mouth like a beaver or a sabre toothed tiger!! Yikes!! There's no amount of make-up or dressing short of a brown paper bag that can make her attractive enough to want to ride. This is the way I feel about the G82. The F82 on the other hand given a few workable and affordable adjustments can be every bit as good a performer as the G plus it has character with the DCT that the auto 8 in the G just sorely lacks plus the neck breaking looks the F has, it literally causes whiplash every time you drive it. Plus when you compare under the hood of both cars, this is another area where the F just literally punch the big teeth out of the G especially when you're looking at that CF Brace. I don't know why BMW didn't give that S58 a nice CF Brace?? :( I've literally had folks speed up from a great distance behind just to pull up alongside of me to give me a thumbs up, roll down their windows to compliment the car as I driving it or stop me in parking lots to conversate and oogle over the car and salivate as they play 21 Questions with me on the ins and outs of the car. I can't imagine anyone short of a G82 Lover to have the kind of experience that I get everyday in my F82, so with that said, while I respect the G and all it's goodness in ride improvement, interior upgrades, better handling and whatnot....it just doesn't have the facial appeal to break necks for a good reason but it sure does it in terms for the "YUCK" factor. Sorry but it's F82 for the win all day and everyday for me. Just my 2 cents plus an extra $20 (inflation) :)

I think it's fair that some people don't like the design. Totally understandable. But others, like us, care more about the driving experience. When I look at our 1M Coupe, I don't see a great design. But once you drive it, it's unique and cool
Since when do people need a digital display to tell you what gear you're in? In a manual 😂🤦🏻♂️? Don't get me wrong, I'm pumped this cars drive great, but its like a giant oversized, sports car gimmick that china designed. Over the top for the sake of just being over the top and they lose the luxury subtleness and trade them in for CARBON EVERYTHING😂. Worst of all is that front end... When people said that the Alfa Romeo Giulia was a better car than the M3/M4 it should have been a hint to BMW to adapt and learn from there mistakes, so when they're put to the test they would pass with flying color on their own merits... but what you have here is a blatant copy of the test to where they lazily changed the name. WE wanted the M3/M4 to drive better, like the Giulia, NOT actually be the Giulia 😂🤦🏻♂️!
@@bmwblog Yes, and that was the point, to make the BMW's perform better than the Giulia, NOT to copy the giant grill and also incorporate that into the BMW design 🤦🏻♂️... BMW used to be the cool one with the unique design, with the shark profile. Now BMW is just like everyone else with the unnecessarily giant grill (such as Audi, Nissan, Kia, Infiniti, Merc, etc etc). So yes, this car get an "A" plus in performance, but it is severely undercut by its design language.
Less talking more racing please. Borefest of a video. Everyone who will watch these will know the specs etc, we want to see the performance difference.
Good video, but the G82 sure gives meaning to "drift pig" 🐖💨 and you're promoting the new stupid design too much... those "air breathers" were always present, unlike the now fake side vent

G82 driving experience is a strong step forward. It’s my preference. F82 still looks fantastic, and is no slouch in performance!

The F8x will always be a great buy. But the new one fixes certain things: like xDrive, wider range of driving modes, and a bit more controllable

Some fair points, but talked to Motor Trend journalist the other day and he said this one drives better than the Giulia now
