I mean, other than the sky not being a deep purple, it looks more or less the same. Dark urban environments with scant light sources. As for “edgy goth” specifically, I guess that fit 2004 but I think people’s tastes have evolved past mascara and arm flail dances, “I’m a monster inside” kinda stuff. I’m definitely hoping for a more subtle aesthetic with Bloodlines 2
Graphic look great. Game movement mechanic and Combat feel so bad. Hopefully the storytelling is good and fix that first person mobility it felt like you can only travel in a straight line.

The environment looks fantastic, the characters are well voiced, and they seem to understand the lore (thank god). The combat/ and combat AI definitely needs work, (which is why they pushed back the release date hopefully) and I would have liked to see a character creation screen. I'll likely get this game especially since the only other game I've been looking forward to is Cyberpunk 2077.
Compared to the first game, they seem to understand the main things that made it successful, but they need to improve the background music: the first game was the best in that aspect because it was made by Rik Schaffer, he is the only one that could make it on point for this secuel. Also I think the game needs to push the creativity further on the story and the characters, it seems a little lazy compared to the first one. Just remember the mission with Teresse / Jeanette, or the whole story with LaCroix. Also, it doesn't seems to have the funny things like the radio, the ad mails and the charisma of characters like Jack. So much to expect
I'm reading comments and can't understand, how people think Bloodlines 1 was some kind of ubermensch compared to this snippet? To me, it looks like actual gameplay - not some scripted bullshit that would be downgraded to hell at release. yes, animations suck, yes movement looks clunky, yes it stutters and lags but was Bloodlines 1 any better? If anything only a compelling story saved B1. And so far we have seen just 1 decent quest with a handful of choices, fluff, and nice voice acting, and people go apeshit. At least this gameplay looks honest unlike Cyberpunk 2077 which was a total fuking lie.
To be honest, the gameplay trailer of Cyberpunk 2077 played exactly the same as the in-game quest. Also, after 100 patches, Cyberpunk is mostly in the promised state. Better late than never, which is a proven fact since this game is yet not released

Objective markers show that they completely didn't get what made that first game special. The original wanted you to pay attention and you would lose out on quests/items. It was meant to be repayable too. They clearly cluttered this game to the point where they were afraid to have the player miss out. Objective markers cause people to sleep walk through a game and not live in that world.
prompts that require the player to act is preferable. Then the Player ques the prompt only to acknowledge they need assistance. Dangling a go here arrows is not a good idea.
Isn't the game got cancelled? Shame. If they'd have just put the effort like CDPR did to Cyberpunk 2077, it would be acceptable, even with bugs and stuff. I respect the big concept of this game no matter what mistakes it contains; I would still love it like CP77.

I would've loved it if it was 3rd person but I believe they are staying true to the first game indeed. I love a good vampire game ;)
Horrible, he has broken the Masquarade at least 2 times with unnatural agile climbing and no reacts to it.
Not exactly plenty of cities don't have cameras everywhere and go watch some parkour it's impressive

the publisher has announced that the game will be released in 2023, I hope they will show a long trailer with revised gameplay by then.
Those door transitions looks like shit and the animations aren't that good either, thank god they are working hard on this because it really need it
