@GregAbott-sl2boThey’ll probably add support for the 777 though, not difficult to do. And even if they don’t softwares like Spad will allow more flexibility. I own the cockpit simulator 737 CDU and it works flawlessly with the 777 (you can even use it with the Fenix if you wish, with compromises of course)
The primary reason you can't use these devices on other aircraft with the same(!) functionality is that Microsoft/Asobo have not mandated that variable naming should be consistent when the button/key/dial/etc functionality is identical within another pre-existing device. What you will get, if the company is going to make it 'compatible' with another aircraft, is an additional profile to load, a profile that simply maps one non-consistent variable name to another. A damn shame Asobo didn't force this. However, the reason they didn't do it is so that these manufacturers could make more money by selling, essentially, the same device twice/more.
Me too and I was getting very excited about it 😂 But apparently the PMDG devs prefer to eat shit until the rest of their lives better than update this thing
Lots of fmc/mcdus becoming available for flightsim…..it’s good to see. I have cockpit simulators fmc and i love it. It too is expensive…..and like wingflex ‘s unit, it is driven by a single usb cable. Most of the older generation mcdus and fmc’s require both hdmi and usb cables for power and video so it’s nice to see companies simplifying connection’s with 1 single usb c connector. Interestingly, this device looks identical to my fmc…..w/ the exception of the software. I can’t help but wonder if maybe 1 company manufactures the hardware and then resellers license it along with their own software to the end user? Regardless of how it’s making its way to us, i love that our hobby is finally seeing hardware for airliners at scale. Flightsim has never been more exciting than it is right now!
That is no problem. You can buy a USB-HUB. I bought one with 13 ports. So I have 13; in addition to the once on the pc. They come in different sizes.4, 7, 10 etc, and are not so expensieve. Just make sure you buy one, that have it’s own power supply.
Excellent review and advice. It looks a lot like the Cockpit Simulator FMC but way more nicer priced. Did you have to pay additional import fees to UK customs? When I order abroad outside EU we (NL) normally have to pay import fees to customs.
These companies are in trouble with winwing lineup. Cost just cant compete. On top of that, I just prefer to use an full size ipad as its more versatile giving me cdu options for Airbus, Boeing, CRJ etc etc
Please, for the next video also at least mention hardware that is already announced especially with a lower price (the winwing fcu in this case). Of course you can also point out that with that price-difference the quality might be lower and that it's not out yet so we don't know how well it will work But if somebody watches this video without knowing about the WinWing FCU they might not get the full picture of the FCU market at the moment/in the near future
@@Easyjetsimpilotyeah I know what you mean I’m just playing 😂 would love to get my hands on one of the FCU units, currently using a Dualsense controller 😂
Hardware from wingflex are way too expensive, It's 824$ Canadian dollars. You can buy a medium gaming laptop for that price. I'll stick with WingWing. The Wingflex FCU you've shown on your last video was also expensive.
Competitively priced??? Really??? For something that an old tablet can do and is not even a real computer isn't worth $600. Winwing has the right idea. With today's technology $130 is not only reasonable, but is affordable to almost every pocket book. Case closed. Flight simulation should be enjoyed by all.
Completely wrong. The cheap units are plastic and emersion breakers in a serious cockpit environment, and if you are a stutter freak having to connect and additional hdmi to a mini monitor that the cheap FMC's make you do can drive you nuts. This is worth EVERY. PENNY. i even payed tax and shipping from a distributor to get it in days and it was STILL worth it for me. The onees who say they are waiting for winwing are 1) broke and trying to pretend a china plastic product is better than what they can never afford 2)are praying its 130USD because that was a price from a roadshow years ago .... 3)not serious simmers or use the real unit in a study environment and just gamers This CDU is literally a carbon copy if the real deal. Its the best out right now for 73 world. Cheers.
$599?! no thanks, I will wait for winwing 737 cdu which is priced at $129.95.
there is a airbus cdu priced 100 usd
Absolutely agree there...

Winwing instead for me! At $130 I can buy one for 737 and one for A320 and still pay less than this one
Yup, this is an advert for Winwing.
What a steep price.
It will be a WinWing for me 💯👌
Have fun with your cheap garbage. It’s always better to save up for the good version. Cheaping out on technology is always a mistake.
Are they planning to do an A320 mcdu?

2:15, Not really what you want to see at that price...
whens the airbus one coming out please how can 600 be eye waterinng for that quality
Not buying aircraft specific FMCs, waiting for the universal version that works on all Boeing and all Airbus
Has the mcdu of a32nx of Winwing out yet or jow can we preorder it? Thanks Gavin.
Will you need to add on Import duty in the UK ?
I was going to ask that - it can make a big difference!
A320 MCDU when?! 🤤
Are the buttons squishy like the winwing ones are? Or are they very hard like a plastic type feel? Kind of hard to tell from the video.
Looks like the squishy type
How many of us are running short of USVB sockets?

$600 and is based on the old FMC with out ATC COM, VNAV
