A few thoughts of mine to the topic; the reason why the libero isnt allowed to set in the frontline is because if he was, he would immediatly not exist as the defensive expert he is anymore. He would become the de-facto setter for the team because of the liberties he has to switch in and out for everyone.
What i would add as a rule is that stepping on the line below the net is a fault. So many injuries in all levels of volleyball could be prevented if stepping with any part of the body on that line was just strictly forbidden.

Many of your points are saying that some rules are too strictly enforced but the problem is that you have to draw a clear line somewhere.
For example allowing slight net touches that don't affect the play the very first question would be "when does it affect the play and when does it not?" What is a "slight" net touch and what is a "severe" net touch? You cannot define this which would lead to referees making their own decisions and as a result this rule would be enforced on a purely subjective basis.
The first few rallys of a match with an unknown referee would just be the players figuring out how strictly this referee enforces the rules.
In my opinion it is way better and easier to just have a clear rule in many cases!

most of your changes would simply dilute the quality of the game, double touches are a technical issue and making them relaxed just makes the sport lower in quality, so why do that..? theres no benefit other than to facilitate poor form and technique...
the net is a dividing line between 2 teams that keeps them seperate and shouldnt be infringed upon, especially considering that the net can be pulled or touched and alter the play, eg. if its pulled down hitting becomes easier, and as soon as you remove this rule, you make it subjective and it will kill a game as players can argue that it didnt reeealy impact the play, so subjectivity will ruin this in game
the libero shouldnt be able to front court set, as then you can, at all times, have a back court setter - cant you..? you just hide the libero and then let them take the 2nd ball, and other than one rotation where theres no libero on court (even though you can still put him on court for a back court wing) you can have a permenant front court 3 hitters...
have to be honest i dont think youve really thought this through from a practical stand point

You've been too critical about everything I said in this video) These are just thoughts for consideration, nothing more)
How could eliminating double touches impact the game quality and lower the standards for setters? Double touches will already worsen the pass quality, and it doesn't make sense to penalize it further.
A delay can be considered a serious foul, but double touch... Personally, I don't think so.

I'm not suggesting we do away with the touch rule entirely, just that we should consider softening it, similar to how we've relaxed the rules for net touches with the jersey or hair. The outcome of the play shouldn't be decided by an insignificant touch that's only visible on replay.

And about the libero. What's wrong with having the setter always in the back row? This was a hot topic under this video on my main channel, and no one could provide me with solid arguments. And then what do we do with the setter in the front row? Will they also attack? If your team has two setters who can attack well, then you can always use this scheme, with the pass coming from the back-row setter)

The volleyball community is very conservative and tends to react negatively to any changes, even though there have been many over the years that everyone has simply gotten used to. If we lower the difficulty threshold for entry and make this sport more understandable for the average viewer, it will definitely benefit our beloved sport ;)

I really love making videos about the rules; they always spark lively discussions. :)
People manage to regularly argue with the official rules, thinking something is written incorrectly, and that I'm misleading folks.
Thank you so much for your feedback; it's really nice to chat with an engaged viewer ;)

Can you talk about some of the reffing mistakes that happened in the Monza vs Trentino game today (Round 6 of the SuperLega) and why red/yellow cards were handed out?

Hey! I haven't watched the match yet, so I don't have an answer to that question. I only saw the red card in the Perugia vs. Piacenza match)
Could you tell me during which set this incident happened?

@@NhiN04 Thanks. I watched that match. I'll definitely discuss this moment in the review that's coming out on the channel today.
