✿ 2022 FAQ ✿
"What do you use to film your videos?"
I use a combination of a GoPro Hero9 for general walk videos and timelapses, Nikon Coolpix P1000 for wildlife and plant closeups, and occasionally my Samsung S20 for further incidental shots.
"Why do you make nature walk videos?"
Of course, I encourage everyone to just go out and see your own local nature, but at the same time I want to share my local patch with people from all around the world and for people who cannot so easily access nature. I want to inspire more engagement with the outdoors in the hope of helping people form a personal bond with the wonder of the natural world.

Thank you so much dear Alex. In this day and age when depressing news regularly fills the daily headlines, it's so refreshing to see that in nature, life goes in as usual around us, often without us noticing. I really appreciate you showing us just what's out there to be seen.
Absolutely, I find escape from all the "bad news" and made up "culture wars" in nature, which just carries on steadily without all the drama. I am glad that my making this "slow" content is helpful to you too 😊
Being overwhelmed by the vivacity of plants in spring, worrying about an old tree you love, feeling compassion for birds in winter... I relate to your stream of thought! Beautiful video.
Thank you so much 😊
I loved watching this archive of a year! Hearing your detailed observations about the changes you experienced gave me such a vivid sense of the seasons where you live. Thank you for sharing!!
You're welcome, glad you enjoyed it 😊
Beautiful and a reminder that spring is on the way. Snowdrops in the woods.
Yes, absolutely. Just looking at home lush the woods was in April through to June, I miss that as it's my favourite time but it is indeed on the way 😊
Incredible! Has almost everything in it for me most of all the birds' calling. THIS is what Nature Journaling is about! 🌱
It really is! Thank you 😊
Great narrating too!
"I want the seasons to declare themselves. " Well put sentiment. I agree.
Thanks 🙂
absolutely gorgeous and beautiful writing Sooooo enjoyed this.
Thank you, glad you liked it 🙂
So lovely listening to your observations while watching the woods change each month, very relaxing and beautiful. 💚
Thank you, Kim 😊
This was a delightful journey through the changes in your woods throughout the year! Very enjoyable and peaceful! Thanks for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it! 😊
Beautiful Alex. That was so relaxing and joyous. Thank you :)
Glad you enjoyed it 🙂
I absolutely loved your video. It was so immersive. I loved how you shared about what you noticed and the smells as well and the changes in the seasons. Your photos and videos are delightful. Your narrative superb. Coming from a country with a tropical climate, I don't get to see these changes. Even when I go over to the UK it's only a few weeks. So thank you for this video. Looking forward to your 2023 videos.
Thank you so much! I do enjoy our seasons, even winter nowadays, so couldn't imagine being without them. Glad that you enjoyed seeing the changes here 🙂
Phenomenal, Alex! What a treat.
Thank you, glad you enjoyed 😊
Thanks Alex. That was a great narrative and lovely images of the year. Looking forward to what you will be doing this year.
Glad you enjoyed it, so much happening this year. Unfortunately it is so much that I am struggling to keep on top of it all and make the content! There should hopefully be a new video soon 😊
I really enjoyed seeing your local patch through the year. It was interesting to see the different birds you have there.
Thank you, Melody, glad you enjoyed it 😊
Beautiful, I recognize so many of the same trees and plants here in Virginia…
Thank you 😊
Well done, Alex. Beautifully narrated. By the way, if have followed your ink making. I have tried to make some of red cabbage, the result isn't bad at all. Thank you and I am looking out for new vids in 2023. Greetings Stanley.
Hi Stanley, I've never tried ink from red cabbage but I can imagine it'd work a treat. Glad you enjoyed this video, new one is coming soon 😊
@@AlexBoonArt Well Alex, you have to be carefully with this ink because when applied on paper it has a purple heu but when dried it turns out to be a kind of blue. I use it mostly for shadowing.
@@stankarelsen2394 Might also be the paper pH affecting it, that can happen. Still, as long as you know what it does, it doesn't matter too much 🙂
