Did the CELESTIAL Emergence Destroy ASGARD? - Eternals and Thor MARVEL Theory EXPLAINED

  • The Eternals ends with the death of a celestial, mid-emergence. But the visual of past Celestial hatchings show a planet being ripped apart--which looks very familiar. In this video we explore a pair of Reddit theories that the original planet Asgard was destroyed by an emergence like this, but then Odin used the space stone to put his planet back together--as a floating realm in space.
The theory holds that the space stone's residual energy held Asgard in place--and that Surtur's blow released it--hence the burst of blue tesseract-like energy. But we also theorize that this was not the first time the eternals used an infinity stone against the Celestials.
Could it be that the Guardians of the Galaxy Flashback of 8 beings banding together could actually be 8 Eternals on the planet Titan? Thanos and eros were Eternals, brothers of a kind, who differed on the best way to rebel against the celestials. Thanos wanted to kill half the planet, and Eros wanted to party--but the 8 others decided to share the energy of the power stone to stop the emergence.
This is why the Uni-Mind looks so similar to beings sharing the energy of the power stone. And of course they saved Titan--but the devastation form the reality stone made it uninhabitable. We explore this and many more Marvel Cinematic Universe cosmic theories in this video.

    #Eternals #Asgard #Emergence
You know, in all the horse and hours of MCU films and shows that have been released, we’ve seen a lot of different planets. Earth, Xandar, Vormir, Titan, the Thanos retirement village, plus all the other realms of Asgard. But one of these planets is not actually a planet. Asgard. It’s a giant floating disc with waterfalls that flow gracefully into space. So how can something this small have enough mass to produce the gravity we see on Asgard?
Well a couple redditors named Professor of Lies and Paramecia Antic have a theory that I think explains everything: Asgard was home to a celestial seed, that destroyed its original planet.
We’re going to go into more detail here, but this theory explains so much about Odin, Hela, the Norse mythology, the infinity stones, Guardians of the Galaxy, Thanos, and the infinity gauntlet.
So, just to back up a bit. In case you didn’t see the Eternals or need a refresher. That movie revealed that everything in the universe is created by space giants called the celestials. Celestials shape the raw energy of the universe into planets, stars, and galaxies. So, you like that screen you’re looking at right now? Thank a celestial.
The celestials breed by impregnating planets with baby embryos. These embryos then feed off the intelligent life on the planet. When there are enough people on the planet, the celestial is able to hatch. This destroys the planet, but I happen to know there’s a little baby celestial out there, shaping up new planets.
The Eternals are robots who were created to defend the people on each planet as they grow larger civilizations. And, spoiler alert for the Eternals, that movie ends with them betraying the celestials, and aborting a celestial mid hatch.
And this is where the theories of Professor of Lies and Paramecia Antic come into it. They theorized that Asgard was once an entire planet, that was home to a celestial seed. This would have been a long time ago, during the reign of Thor’s grandfather Bor, or back when Odin was a young man, all set on a-conquering
Asgardians are a very advanced civilization. And, their people live for an extremely long time [clips] So with a life expectancy like that, their planet would have become overpopulated. There would have been more than enough intelligent life for the celestial baby to feed off. In fact, maybe Asgard was originally a giant planet, the size of a gas giant. So it would have taken them longer to make enough people to hatch a space baby that big.
And then, the emergence happens. And some Asgardian leader-let’s just say Odin, realizes that they’re unable to stop it from happening. Unless he follows Thanos’s playbook: genocide.
Paramecia Antic goes on to theorize that Odin was able to save Asgard, by using the space stone. See, we know the space stone was once in Asgard’s possession because he left it in a vault on earth.

Biggest problem with this, and Thanos’ plan in general, is that the universe will eventually repopulate its self. For the Celestials time is irrelevant, this just means they need to wait a little longer to make new Celestials. By destroying the infinity stones Thanos guarantees that no one will be able to stop, or slow down, the Celestials again.

Feels like a stretch. Thanos always kept saying, even to Gamora, that there weren’t enough resources to sustain the population. Whether on Titan or her home world. And since he killed half the population everyone now has enough chicken and fresh water to sustain. Full bellies and peace. He never said anything about preventing celestials from destroying planets with their emergence. Thanos specifically said he doesn’t lie, or at least he told Gamora “I never taught you to lie”, so I don’t see him lying about his reasoning to kill half the population of each planet.

Quick question/comment: in the comics, Eternals couldn’t have kids either. The reason Thanos and Eros were born blood brothers was because their eternal parents were gifted quantum bands as wedding presents, which gave them the unique ability to have children. Hence, Thanos and Eros being brothers and Thanos somehow being born with the deviant gene.
At least, that’s how I remember the comics explaining it. I could be remembering it incorrectly.

Building on your comment a bit, I have a theory. Being as the Eternals are robots, and cannot reproduce (at least not by normal means), what if, in order to reproduce, they needed to utilize the Deviant gene? Deviants don't appear to be robotic at all. They are a biological species. So with this procedure, they create both Eros and Thanos. The creation of Eros is successful, but the creation of Thanos sees what should have been a recessive gene, become the equal/dominant gene. Hence, why Thanos looks and behaves the way he does.

This theory could also explain Uru and make it the most rare metal in the universe now that Asgard is gone.
If it’s a special metal alloy that was the remnants of a Celestial egg and also infused with Space Stone power allowing it to be nearly indestructible (nearly… damn Hela.. you fine as hell, but SCARY! Wheew..) and allow it to access the BiFrost.. aka, Space travel!
So basically Uru is super valuable and rare and completely impossible to reproduce because of the super unique circumstances of its origin.

    • @instantdominator2121
      @instantdominator2121 Год назад

No metal is indestructible. Uru just requires extreme heat to melt. But a metal that strong would appear to be virtually indestructible. Yet, with some science and technology, you could break it. Or by using magic. Infinity Stones are also powerful enough to melt it. Hela and Wanda were able to break it. Stark was able to make it. So, it's not impossible to reproduce. But it's still so rare that even J.A.R.V.I.S. believed that it was impossible to synthesize.
Celestial's armor is made of vibranium, which would then make uru just modified vibranium. But that is not the case, as uru did not form from celestial armor.
Uru is not found on Asgard. All their supply comes from Nidavellir, a place so far away that even an intergalactic bounty hunter like Rocket didn't believe it was real. And we don't know where they got it from. So, it definitely didn't originate from Asgard.

I have a theory that absolutely every technology in the first 4 phases of the MCU is connected to the Infinity Stones. Repulsor tech is an attempt to replicate the power of the space stone (Why do you think Hydra weapons in First Avenger have the same sound as the repulsors?), The heart-shaped herb/Vibranium is imbued with the Power Stone's energy. Captain America's super-soldier serum is a replica of the heart-shape herb's effects. The Hulk is a replica of the super-soldier serum. Vision and Ultron are derived from the mind stone. Pym Particles are connected to the Reality stone (they allow travel through the multiverse).

    • @thefallen6114
      @thefallen6114 2 года назад +1

Eternals are the embodiment of gods and heroes of many mythologies around the world and most of them are taken from the Greek mythology:
Ikeris is Icarus who flew too close to the sun (although Icarus was not a god)
Eros is Eros the son of Aphrodite and Ares
Phastos is Hephaestus son of Hera and Zeus (in one of the versions of greek mythology) and he is the god of fire, a blacksmith and a craftsman, hence the similarity between him and Phastos since one of Phastos' abilities is to create new things and that's what we saw him did in the film for the human race to help them with their daily needs and to evolve
Thena is Athena the goddes of wisdom and tactic in war
Ajak is Ajax one of the heroes of greek mythology and fought in the trojan war with Achilles
Sersi is Circe the sorceress who is the daughter of the sun god Helios and an ocean nymph Perse.
Let me know if I missed some eternal who's taken from the Greek mythology.
(And yes I know the other eternals are also taken from other myths such as Kingo who's Kingu in the babylonian myth and son of the gods Abzu and Tiamat...).

Interesting theory. It was obviously not in the cards when Infinity Saga was released because Thanos would then have expressed his motivations differently from what was shown. He specifically pronounced how to many mouths to feed lead to overuse of ecosystems instead of saying that to many mouths to feed created nourishment for hatchlings.
Maybe there is some clever way to retcon it. But it likely needs some amount of Thanos not fully understanding what’s really going on or what’s at stake.
Erasing half of everything living doesn’t make his task complete. And after his second snap is content that his task is fulfilled.
But in reality it just postpones more hatchlings into the future. And at the speed living species tend to breed and the vast time scales the Celestials live through critical mass for hatchlings will soon be reached again.
That could be the way, I guess. Thanos grasping enough of the actual truth to propel him to action but still lacking lots and lots of what is really goin on.
Will be interesting to see what way they’ll go with it all.
