23:36- The Bosporus mean 'place where the cow swam across'. According to some Greek myths, Zeus's wife Hera caught him fooling around a pretty nymph so Hera turned her into a cow and ordered her to swim across- sending a horse fly to sting the newly made cow on the rump to ensure she did what Hera ordered! Hera did nothing to Zeus, but I guess she thought punishing his flings would get him to stop fooling around. Another fantastic video and thanks so much!

Hiya, Wow, the breakfast looked so good. I am allergic to eggs as well. I miss scrambled eggs and dippy eggs so much. Thank you for the lovely tour around. Always relaxing to sit and watch your videos. After 2am here, hard to sleep as it is still 21. We are having a heatwave. Love the cafes. Beautiful lamps. The market was huge. Love the spice market. I have to catch up on some past videos. A good start to the day(big breakfast) walking thru the Bazaar was very Cool. Thank you for the video. The Galata Tower being built in 1348 is crazy. Such great views from up there. Sunset tour im sure was fun and lots of views and photos. As of 2020 the Population of Istanbul was 15.4 million people. A lovely place to visit. 😌

Oh, great country! And good prices in this year :) Don`t forget visit turkish region Antalya!!! Magnificent coast, from Datcha to Alanya. There are a lot of different places and different types of hotels from small hotels like in Greece to hugest 5* hotels at a good price. Don't miss the small village of Kaleuchagyz and many other beautiful places! :)

Actually, Galata bridge linksEurope to Europe .😊 It is between the old city and the new city in the continent of Europe.
It’s called the Bosphorus Strait. It’s not a river. A strait connects two seas - the Marmara to the Black Sea.
Istanbul is like a grand fest, bustling and full of live 😍😻😂👍 Boat tour sounds fantastic, I'm sure the view on both sides of Bosphorus are spectacular, it'll definitely on my itinerary when I'm back there.

Grand Bazaar is still the Biggest Covered Market or Shopping Mall in the World with more than 4000 Shops , its built from Fatih Sultan Mehmet for bring an incoming for the Hagia Sophia , its a Foundation from the Hagia Sophia ;) Simit is the Grandfahter of the New York Bagel... so bagelk is like SIMIT ;) because Jewish People from Eastern Europe ( at this time Ottoman Empire) bring it to Poland from Ottoman Time and than they bring it to New York later...
I love your videos and have never commented, but wanted to thank you for sharing your travels. I am always amazed at something, but especially places like this one. In the mind, we see things as we think they are or might be, or just hear or see snippets about them, over time. Its a delight to see historic sites and so shocking to see such modern areas in the same country. Also the information shared about things to watch out for and be aware of if and when the places are ever visited. Safe travels!

Beautiful lanterns, indeed! They remind me of Moroccan ones. Haven't been to either country, lol. But ever since studying art history, one of my dream destinations has been Istanbul. Now I Have to go there to collect a couple of those lanterns and dine at rooftop restaurants 😅🤞

Another great video! The Grand Bazaar wasn’t as crowded when we were, so we really enjoyed wandering around. That fancy boat by the Galata Bridge, is a where you get battered fish sandwiches freshly caught right there. BTW I love your photography, always so crisp and beautifully shot and lovely music. If you are still there have to try the Turkish Donär kabob. They are made from the meat on the spike you showed during the food part of the video. When I lived in Germany I lived on those things and they are amazing.

Mate, we did that same boat tour then later realised that you could literally have your own yacht trip for approx £50 for the same amount of time and they collect you from a restaurant on the bridge and also have fruits and drinks on the yacht. You can then chill on the back or the top deck listening to your own music.
We ended up doing both boat trips. I don’t think I’ll find somewhere else where I can get a private yacht trip for 3 people for £50.
