- Here's my 1997 interview with Ralph Fiennes for "The English Patient." Topics covered include people mispronouncing his first name, embarrassing moments on stage, dealing with professional autograph hunters, the biplanes in "The English Patient" and more.
It’s the most angelic face I’ve ever seen in my life. He’s so handsome.
His eyes are mesmerizing
@@trawlins396 totally
Something about him is so magical… his face, eyes and voice… my god 🫠
Everything about him is sexy.
I mispronounced his name another way for years (in the '90s and '00s). Growing up I thought people were referring to him as "Ray Finnes." :D
Geoffrey Rush is a phenomenal actor but Fiennes should have won the Oscar.
What a lovely man

I'm English from up north Yorkshire and never ever heard of this tradition of pronouncing it rafe must be a southern thing
It wasn't a regional thing, but rather a practice followed only by some families. One such Ralph, Sir Ralph Lewis Wedgwood, was born in Staffordshire.
It's always pronounced Rafe
