Good video... Thank you for reminding me about Mr. Proenneke. You might want to watch his self-filmed "Alone in the Wilderness" By Richard Proenneke. (Pronounced /Prenna-Key/) *The Prenne is two syllables like "Henna" is spoken with Henna Tattoos). They've preserved his Alaskan dwelling for tourists to visit... the documentary was on our local PBS station when I first watched it and I was in awe of the man who really did things they way my Grandfather and all the folks before him did... laboriously but an honest days work for sure! He was a Master Carpenter. He cut and hewn all of his timber by hand; more plumb, square and level than most carpenters alive today! And they use lasers and electric tools! Not to mention that while he was using a chalk line, and hand tools to do all this building, he had to stop every few minutes to rewind his video camera and run back into the scene to film himself!

You mentioned him eating the entire batch of pancakes and how Dick must've had a big appetite. I read one year he wore a pedometer and clocked in just over 3000 miles. Dude was legendary 👍🏻

Great video! Also the hot spot on the pan is from the electric stove. I would move it around a few times while heating it up, and then turn down the heat(they hold heat quite well and should cook the pancakes just fine).
Also have been wanting to make these, and just simple east pancakes for a while!
