      @@scottbuck9348 so my King has a 6 degree rake on the front end and will be replacing the front fender as well (stock looks weird lifted onto a 23". Without the rake the biggest I would recommend is a 21". A 23" will fit but you are going to smash things unless your suspension is super hard! Because of the size difference a 23" needs the rake, and mine will be dropped 2" with heavier fork oil then a Klockworks fender to tie it all together. The 23" rocked up today! So stoked to have this all fitted up.
      Good luck with the new wheel man.

    • @Twotonecustoms.
      @Twotonecustoms.  Год назад +2

      I run a 18 just cause you see more wheel and less white wall, 16 is cool as well but smaller so you see more white wall. Some say 16 looks more traditional but it’s preference.
      I also didn’t see a significant difference in the ride between the two other than sitting a bit higher in the rear w/ 18

    • @Twotonecustoms.
      @Twotonecustoms.  Год назад

      No he did, he didn’t wanna spend the money on a oem fender or to paint a metal one so he made some brackets and mounted the one he had. He was told the plastic one he had came on the 100th anniversary but it didn’t. I didn’t push him and that was that.

  • @03roadking
    @03roadking Год назад +1

    The bolts that are to long ,,,If you put a nut on it before you cut it and then take the night off after you cut it it will realign the threads
    Or stick the correct die on their cut it off and then take the die-off

    • @Twotonecustoms.
      @Twotonecustoms.  Год назад

      I have a die set and used one before I installed them otherwise I’d risk cross threading, I just don’t record every step in my videos cause it makes them extra long and if I time laps some parts like me torquing or using the die isn’t long of a process so it’s literally a super fast clip like a few seconds so I just leave it out.
      You’re on point and correct though 👍🏾

    • @Twotonecustoms.
      @Twotonecustoms.  2 года назад

      I offered but at that time he wanted me to try and find a 100th Anniversary fender to match his bike since that one was plastic and aftermarket.
      I gave him his bike back right after I mounted the wheels
      After some time I found a perfect oem 100th anniversary fender on ebay same color scheme and all for $500.
      He said it was too high and made his own risers to stick with what he had.

  • @joshuaholloway494
    @joshuaholloway494 2 года назад

    Hey man I bought a 18" sinister fat spoke. I have no clue which side the rotor or belt drive goes on. One side of the hub is approximately 1/2 longer (wider). Do you know which side is which?

    • @Twotonecustoms.
      @Twotonecustoms.  2 года назад +1

      Wider side should be for the pulley side, at least thats the case for the ones ive done.
      I have a 04 & the pulley uses 7/16x14 bolts and the rear brake rotor uses a 3/8-16 bolts so the rotor bolts wouldn’t fit on the pulley side. Thats a perfect way to know.

    • @Twotonecustoms.
      @Twotonecustoms.  2 года назад +2

      For the front yeah, you have people saying drill out the holes bigger but thats raggedy in my opinion. Just spend the 25-30$ on risers and do it the right way.
      Just watch out for big bumps and pot holes. It being raised means the travel from the bottom of the triple tree to the top of the fender is a bit shorter

    do you need to lower the front end when installing a 21 inch in the front?

    • @Twotonecustoms.
      @Twotonecustoms.  2 года назад

      You dont have to but it looks a little better if you get a lowering kit installed to make the gap smaller. Just take into consideration that lowering also shortens the suspension travel.
