can you do a video of why you chose optometry, and how you were so sure.

Thank you for this! I have an interview in 12 days. I’ve been so nervous because, like you, I also only applied to one school! This is my one and only shot at an interview so I’ve been feeling the pressure.

I’m an undergraduate business major graduating next year. I have only taken chemistry and biology. Would you recommend that I take the Kaplan course, take the OAT, and then take the prerequisites? Or should I finish the prerequisite courses, take the Kaplan course, and then take the OAT? I chose business to have the potential to start my own practice and I feel confident I can accomplish my goal. I am from Texas and UHCO is my top choice.

Finish the pre requisite courses, take the Kaplan course, then the OAT! The prerequisite courses will help you with the materials on the OAT :)
UHCO is an amazing school! Best of luck to you!

I'm in the same scenario Issac, I'm almost done with my Bachelors in Business Management. After some research and thought I was interested in becoming an Optometrist but never taken any science course ( except Astronomy). I'm so confused on what are the steps to take besides meeting with an academic advisor and ask a million questions.

Great video by the way. I just had a quick question. Why did you only apply to one school? Did you do that to become more competitive or did you just not want to go anywhere else? Thanks.

I only wanted to go to UHCO😊
I checked the stats of the UHCO and I was above it so I just went for it! Also, it was really early when I applied so even if I didn’t get accepted, I had time to apply elsewhere
