Probably one of the best parts of this is how each is clearly trying to keep pace with the lyrics at their own rate of memory...except for the refrain, when they're so much more in synch. It just makes them seem so much more like a group of people (probably smashed, mind you) trying to sing a favorite song together.
I dunno, to me the British/Australian voice just really fits. I dunno, maybe it's because of how deep it is. They didn't get the same voice actor for the third and fourth one, but it's pretty spot on.
the best bit of it is how a couple of them barely know the words clearly, and it just sounds like a bunch of friends on a cruise doing a random spontaneous singalong. this is friggin awesome.
The best part I think is the one guy talking to himself. "This is the break! Break that shit down! Unh!" "Oh shit! The keyboard and shit!" "How come shit don't sound like this now! You know what I'm sayin'? Man!"
god... Dude I fucking cried listening to this after I started hearing shaundi being fucking adorable along with the others voicing coming in and out. I fucking miss when games could make me care about characters. its one of my childhood games that I remember fondly. most modern games don't have near the same effect as this one and others around that time had.
+StrickenRecord My character is more of an asshole who only cares for those who are a part of the saints in some way, and even then, he only develops strong friendships with long-term saints, especially Johnny gat.
Here lies saints row 2, one of the best open world games ever made, from now on he will reside in the ground next to gta san andreas, red dead redemption and just cause 2.
i remember first hearing my character singing along. I actually stopped the car and listened to him....It's so funny to hear them sing the falsetto and the keyboard sounds!
4 is a close second, but only because of the story missions. the mini games are the same junk from 3. Saints of Rage should be playable at an arcade or something afterwards.
ok so I was just playing and I was flying in a helicopter really high up and my character(female voice 1) started singing to it, I have never been so happy that a game could exist with so much unessisary content the just makes you happy and laugh, like shit happens all the time in this game with the npc's its great!
+Master Tunafish Salad There were a lot of *great* bits like this, and all the idle animation bits (like, stand near a group doing yoga, and after a little while the Boss starts doing it as well)...that the devs didn't bother to put in the later games because according to them, noone paid attention to it anyway. Out of the series, 4 may be the most *fun* to play with all the rediculous powers...but 2 is the *best* due to all this as well as the varied city design.
sounds like a multiplayer server with 6 people inside the van with all the different voices and the radio station is set to my radio and the only song is take on me.... EDIT: while there's a homie actually in there, just staring at all the.. well, boss..es? yeah, that wasn't hard to type at all.
Male Voice 1: Charles Shaughnessy Male Voice 2: Kenn Michael Male Voice 3: Alex Mendoza Female Voice 1: Katie Semine Female Voice 2: GK Bowes Female Voice 3: Rebecca Sanabria
One of the best moments in gaming when this song came on at first it's like "no way they have this" but then when u hear the boss start going u just completely lose it
You know, with the characters singing the words at the same time as the song, and not a second later like they do in-game, this doesn't sound half bad.
The radio host makes a comment about the song as well. He says something along the lines of “what was up with the racing helmets”. And if you watched the music video for take on me you would notice that is what he was referencing.
I haven't even played this game but I've been listening to these for 3 and 4 too and by God this is just an ingenious moment in the game. It's fun, it lets the actors have some fun, and it makes the characters seem human. Why isn't this in more games??
I listened to this three times in a row couldn’t stop smiling at the memories this game was my life for few years who ever made this your parents outta be proud and if they’re not I am perfect job
Damn, this made me smile the whole duration! Love that game, especially the moment I heard the player character sing this that 1st time. Thank you so much for this! :)
A truly great video game. Crafted for fun and enjoyment, and made with love. Doesn't pretend to be anything more than it is. They don't make em like this anymore.
i guess ur right. I miss some stuff that was in SR2. Hopefully in the 4th one they'll add stuff like racing. I missed that!! And plus, the challenges seem very easy compared to SR2. I remember it took me 2 weeks straight to finish this one mission.
Just because they did so much chaos in Stillwater , doesn't mean they have a soft side. I would have loved if volition made a video where all the bosses featured in this clip would go on a road trip and you know have fun.
The only part of SR3 and 4 I really miss that was in SR2 was the singing along with the 80s station. Well, that and the 80s station itself. SR4 at least has What is Love, though. That was a fun surprise.
I think it's awesome this was uploaded one day before /co/ sings Jabberjaw Running Underwater and they both basically sound exactly the same. People awkwardly trying to sing along to a song making listeners feel awesome/awkward/confused all at once.
SR2 wasn't better because it was "more realistic". For all of our sakes, we should be glad the world isn't REALLY like SR2. From what little I played of SR2, it seems to be a more complex game than SR3 and 4. The thing is though, the control scheme is NOT user friendly (at least compared to SR3). I could NOT get used to the control scheme, so I couldn't really have fun with it. While SR3 and 4 may not be the most well written games, I had tons of fun playing them. This sounds like the most dangerous road trip ever.
Subsequently, the most awesome.
6 psychos 1 car millions dead
Dukeofnachos *2nd most dangerous. The most dangerous would involve Gat and an entirely new police force in Stilwater.
Dukeofnachos imagine the drive by this 6 fuckers would do?
Dukeofnachos best comment ever XD
This is and will always be my most favorite video game ever.
***** Thanks man!
***** Awesome! It's only a shame Flippy doesn't upload as much.

I pictured all 6 in a bus with an annoyed pierce driving.
***** You know Pierce would be singing right along with them. =) Especially if it was "So Sick".
Shaundi would probably be there too.
Maybe Gat too. He does have a soft side

If you were to ask anybody who’s played all the saints row games which sing along is the best this one would without a doubt would take the top spot.
